I'm impressed. I really didn't expect the US to put up a good game, especially when facing off against England.

I do believe that England suffered from a certain overconfidence, especially after their goal.

I'd like to see a rematch...where both teams are playing their best.

Cooper and me are moving into a new apartment, and while we're looking forward to the new opportunities it will provide us (including a bigger room and bed ^.^ ), our move coincides with some recent...drama and such...which I was afraid could be viewed as us simply running away and starting anew.

Truth is...we started looking for a safety net in case things went pear shaped...and came across an opportunity to move into a new place...something which we had been thinking on for a while now.

Twin Lakes area is nice and all...scenic wise...but there's little here, and a good hour's drive from Cooper's family and friends. The new place puts us closer to these, and Cooper's work and will allow us to begin living instead of surviving.

Our flatmates, and I really don't want to say names cos of the shit that's been brewing and I really don't want this to be included in all of that, or to use this as a springboard for renewed dramatics, are NOT the reason we're moving. Simple. Done.

I was concerned that our "sudden" move (even though it was timed for this period anyways, namely Summer) could be seen as ridding ourselves of our flatmates and getting the heck out of dodge before we got pulled under in the ensuing chaos.

Our news was met with support and understanding, for which I am REALLY grateful ^.^

When do we move? Not sure yet. End of May, middle of June, end of June...its really all up to the application process.

As someone who has traveled extensively, this move IS an exciting one, as is part and parcel of my enjoyment of new places. Hopefully there are no problems with the application process...so wish us well on that ^.^

Its been a rocky couple of weeks...and about to get rockier.

The past few days I've been trying to avoid thinking about today...and what it could end up being like...and having little success.

My initial excitement over things...over renewed chances and possibilities...has given way to apprehension. You remember when you broke your mom's favorite vase, or window, or did something wrong and sat waiting for your folks to get home and for the fallout that was inevitable?

Yeah...that's how I feel.

They say things get worse before getting better, and that its darkest right before the dawn. I can well believe them.

I had hoped for more time...and I sincerely wish that what has transpired did not happen NOW...of all times. It puts me, and Cooper, in positions of unbelievable anguish, becase it goes against who and what we are. With what has happened in the last 10 days or so, with all the drama and crap flying around...it seems to me that we're being extremely callous. But when things rapidly fall into place...who can NOT take them for omens or portents or signs.

So yeah...i'm not in the best of moods, my emotions are warring within me, tho anyone walking by would see nothing but a dull, blank countenance.

I've given a lot, sacrificed a hell of a lot more, helped out a great deal...and yet...why do I feel so bad for wanting what is right there in front of me, right in my grasp. Should I sacrifice more...and if so, when do I stop? When can I start looking out for myself without feeling like i'm holding Brutus's dagger in my hand?

Wish me well...it's all I can ask for.

A KIND OF ToC FOR COMMISSIONS

* Items will be shipped out USPS 1St Class service with Delivery Confirmation. Upon posting you will receive an email and note notifying you that the item has been posted, and you will receive the tracking number.

* Some form of tracking will always be added to the items I post out, for two reasons:

1) It gives you, the customer, the ability to track the item.

2) It provides me protection from dishonest customers (sadly...there are some) as well as proving that I have indeed posted out your item.

* What happens if an item doesn't pitch up? The following procedures will be followed:

1) Notify me

2) I will check the tracking number. If the tracking number confirms that the item was delivered, then either the item is there and you're missing it, someone else has taken it, or you're one of those few trying to rip me off. 3) If the item is lost in transit somewhere, and it does happen, tho very rarely, I will get a replacement out to you as soon as possible.

* Sculpts are of hardened clay. They ARE fragile if handled roughly, dropped, stepped on etc etc. Wearing any of the sculpts casually will not damage them. "Casual wear" is defined as walking, sitting or other light actions. Use common sense when wearing them. Showing them off at a Con is one thing, rockclimbing with them another! I have stress tested multiple types of sculpts, and all are going strong.

* If an item has been damaged DURING transit, contact me immediately. Please provide evidence of the damage! A photograph is easiest. I shall replace the damaged item as soon as possible! Only the damaged item(s) will be replaced. Should half or more of the purchase need replacing, I will require that you mail the item back to me, WITH Delivery Confirmation. Once the item has arrived I will send out the replacement! The postage fee you paid will be re-imbursed (paypal only). Free replacement of damaged items is only available for damage done during transport from me to you. Damage after the fact will not be repaired/replaced for free.

Anyone know a good map/room creator for use in a modern campaign setting? Am hoping for a Shadowrun group at some point and like to add eye candy to the table so players have a better idea of the situation they're in. Also helps me in not having to keep answering questions like...where is the nearest exit, where are the windows, how many doors are there and a dozen other queries that can be auto answered by simply looking at the map before them.

Dundjinni is awesome in detail and vibrancy, but its downsides are high cost (both in attaining the program and the cost in color ink when printing maps. Its also very unintuitive in the interface department, even with the manual's help.

Currently playing with Smartdraw. Black and white office, house, club, room, lobby, warehouse etc etc blueprints (easily changed to classic BLUE blueprints using colored paper ^.^), outdoor landscapes, and a very simple click and drop interface, auto line straightening when drawing freehand, and customizable templates.

Plenty of map creators for fantasy settings, but very few for modern, most creators are aimed at medieval/dungeon setting

I booked the hotel room, and with the people sharing, it was something I could have afforded. I forgot to take into account two important things...

1) Food

2) Registration

Too many things on my mind so after I booked the hotel room...the rest kinda faded away.

So...while I can afford the hotel room, with the extra costs of Food and Registration...I would be broke...which would impact other plans I have which are fairly vital to my survival...so...no more cons for me for quite some time.

...these furs need to fucking grow up.

So some furs are now coming out and saying that because of that show, people who KNOW they're furries are now looking at them strangely, causing tension in their jobs and private lives. Employers, collegues, family members, friends...

Grow some fucking balls or leave the fandom, you whining cunts!

When you engaged in activities that society deems as strange, you are going to be misrepresented. Society will make their own conclusions. And that is true not ONLY of Furries...but of ANY society, culture, group or activity that society doesn't understand.

If you don't want people looking at you strangely when they discover your interest, here's some simple advice....DON'T PARTAKE IN THAT INTEREST!!!

Being a furry, you should already KNOW that the fandom is composed of MANY aspects, and that some of those aspects you may find wierd, distasteful, freaky, or enjoyable. Remember, it was your choice to be in the fandom...your choice to be involved in something WITH these aspects.
