Oh boy news. Some good some bad.

My comp died completely but I was fortunate to have enough to get a new one.

But in poorer news my dad had a stay in the hospital. Alot of issues and month later he is stable but now on hospice...so lifes hectic and scary atm.

I'm gonna try and keep up to date on FA rather then speed posting to twitter. I'm slowly getting more me time as my dad improves so might open for a few simple commissions in a few days.

Hope everyones been having less crazy times then I have!

Ello! long time no post again but I'm dealing with some computer issues atm so have only been on sporadically. That and my fear of bothering folks has ment I've had a quiet few months online.

Going to post a bunch of art I have backlogged so sorry for the spam.

Been off here so long I' not gonna write the saga. Long story short struggling with dads health, struggling with stress and depression, and struggling financially. Struggles haha.

Yeah, Wow. Back. On the internet.

I cant even start the wall of text on whats been going on here. Its been more then a year since I've been able to afford more then basic needs and the times I've had the funds life swept in to remove them. I know in this day and age not having the internet is unthinkable but I'm someone who hasn't had TV for...20 yearish ? You don't need it half as much as you want it.

Dads health is sable atm he cant walk without help much but from how he's been the past year hes defiantly doing better.

My health isn't great, dealing with tests and exams with little to no pinpointing of problems is stressful.

I lost Chomp my axolotl in the power outs from Irma. The house and tank got to hot and with no way to cool him (I used a fan for evaporation on his tank) he struggled and passed in the night. I miss his silly bloopy face. :(

Not much art to upload. I've been mostly sketching so I'm rusty but expect some new things soon.

Going to do a small batch of $35 halloween chibi to make sure I finish them on time If I finish these with time to spare I might do more.

Life has been overly cruel to me these past months. I had to drop my internet to deal with them and its taken alot longer then planned to return.

My dad condition is sable again after another big scare and while stable he's looking at possibly being wheelchair bound so its hard for him right now.

I lost my aunt mid September. She was diagnosed (far to late) with stage 4 cancer and passed quickly. She was the eldest of my aunts and uncles. The crazy cat lady, she took Nummy my white kitten (who she renamed Itybittykitty) and loved her so much her name was in the obituary she wrote where the rest of us were "her loving family" so yeah she was a funny one, I'll miss her telling bawdy tales during holiday get togethers.

I myself am going in about oh..5 ? 6 ? directions all at once. I hope for normality but don't expect it. Instead I'm having to change and cope.

In art news I've not drawn much, but I have drawn some the stress of being cut off has been weighing on me, hasn't been fair to my commissioners so I've been depressed at my lack of ability to get back.

If I miss a marking or some other minor detail I'll gladly fix it.

All full commissions the commissioner will be given a idea sketch to ok the pose and image. This is when changes should be made if needed! If major changes need made to a image past the
inking stage further funds may be requested for the time it will take to rework the image.

Sketch commissions will not have idea sketches, only minor edits will be made.


*Refunds*

If for any reason a refund is needed and no work has been done on the commission it will be provided in full.
If the images is at a further phase the amount refunded will be delt with on a case by case basis.


*Completion Time*

Depending on the commission type and place on my list of current commissions images can take anywere from a few days to a few months.

Sorry for my inactivity but real life issues have kept me from being online for weeks at a time.

Back in mid oct. my father had a series of heart attacks. After several surgerys and more then a week in the hospital he got out. But more issues popped up for the two weeks after causing us to run from doctor to doctor, test to test. We ended back in the ER at the start of the month to find his gallbladder was inflamed and his intestine was dying. Emergency surgery made even more risky from his being on blood thinners from new heart stents lead to a risky 4 hour removal of his gallblader and a large amount of his colon. He has a fully blocked artery that feeds blood to his intestine that even after two attempts they weren't able to get thru. That was another two weeks in the hospital, all of which i spent with him, sleeping in chairs and sometimes cots.

He's lost a serious amount of weight and I cant even say he's recovering yet. Since the artery is still clogged theirs more then a chance of more bowels dying. Yet they cant risk a bypass yet. We have to hope things improve.

I'm unable to work with all of this going on as well, so as soon as I have time I'm going to try and auction off many of my characters. Whether I take commissions to help will depend on if he starts recovering and I can spend more time on my computer or if we end up back in the hospital.

Is the site chuging for anyone else ? Its taking me about 20 sec to load every time atm.

Got my comp working! the new fan is louder but dosnt sound a spinning blender of death like the last one.

The last of my rat babies died last night. This is a memorial post for all of them.

Last night while streaming some art for my friends I noticed Krummps acting strange as he climbed up the ramp in the cage. When I got up to check he was defiantly in pain with his sides sucked in so I dashed for my vet cards in my purse. However he started having secures then just stopped breathing. There had been no signs, since he was my last rat boy and alone in the cage I've had him out more often to help him not get lonely.

He would have been 2 years old in a few days. I got him mid December and he was about 6 weeks. My beautiful PEW boy..

Now I'm kinda lost, my rats have been a daily part of my life the past 4 years. They helped me distress when I got home from work.

I had 8 rats in the 4 years, the youngest died at 18 months-the oldest 32. This is a list of them in order of when I got them.

Kitten - Kitten I got with her sister Honey shortly after my brother died. She was Agouti dumbo with berkshire markings. I wasn't living where I could get a cat so I got a "kitten" She was the most active of all my rats. while she would come over for a sniff or climb in to my lap she was much happier to dash around the room, climb my book case, and search every fold of comforter on my bed.

Honey - Honey was a babydoll, she was very sweet and quiet and I always called her a housewife. She had a very cute barbell marking on her head and creamy color which I never was able to find the right name for. All the nests were made by her, she tossed all the litter out of the cage and liked her boxs chewed just so.

Smee - Smee was given to me by a neighbor who had found a fancy rat in the group of feeders he bought. He knew I had my two pet rats and came over with a little 5-6 week old fluff and asked if I wanted him before he feed him to his snakes. I couldn't say no. But I had no want of a boy rat with their huge..junk to freak me out. So I figured I'd find a home for him....god was I wrong about boy rats. Smee was a Blue Rex coat dumbo. He totally switched me around on boy v girl rats. After he calmed down in the first few days I had him he was a true and utter love. I kept him out alot since I hadn't the cage to get him a buddy yet. I could always see him covered in roses like a beautiful character in a old anime. He was that damn loveable.

Ni - Ni was adopted after I got my critter nation to be a buddy for Smee. He was a Black berkshire with normal ears and the cutest belly markings and dainty white hands. I got him from a shelter which wouldn't let me handle them "cus I might get bit" *pif* So other then saying I wanted a boy I wasn't able to pick from the litter of black berkshire babys. He was also my first encounter with rat lice. :( the shelter wouldn't help me med him but after going to the vet and quarantining I was able to clear him to be with Smee. Sadly Ni had a bad time in the shelter from what I can tell. He was as sweet as Smee but he was deathly afraid to be out of his cage. He didn't like his feet leaving the ground and didn't like the wide open in the room. I spent alot of time standing at the cage to give him cuddles so he didn't have to leave his cage.

Tootles - Toots and Nibs were brothers. Both black where black and white rexxy dumbo. Tootles was very mild and spent his time draped over anyone else sleeping in the cage. You would always find him paired up with someone. He was also the destroyer of hammocks and stasher of lab blocks. He basically had the end word on where the food in the cage was kept.

Nibs - Nibs was my bad boy. He wanted to be top rat at a vary early age. It never got to bloodshed but he was something of a bully. Luckly with a double critter nation to roam the others wernt to put upon and if he wanted their hammock there were 8 others to go to. He may have been the most aggressive of my boys but the others were comparatively like fluffy marshmallows. So they made him look like a kid with no manners when really he was just as sweet but had a naughty side.

Rook - Ah Rookie..He was like Smee reborn, He was a Self black dumbo. So sweet from day one and always bouncy and playful till he was vary old. He would be the first to great me in the cage and would always rush to the front for love. while the others had little things about them rookie was love encased in a rat. He always wanted attention so he tended to have extra out time while the others snoozed about.

Krumppus - Krumpps was my first PEW and first red eye rat. He was so beautiful and white with gem like red and pink eyes I was honestly mystified why pews weren't extremely popular. I saw for the first time the "snake like" head swaying of the very poor sighted red eyes...its so funny looking I dont know how people could be freaked out and scared of it. I could hear the sound of a scanner in my head watching him...like a little cyber rat. Kumpps was also very very playful he fit in the group like he had been born from abit of fluff shed by them. He loved to burrow in the fleece scrap boxs and loved cardbord boxs so much you could be sure if you opened the cage and started picking them up, one would contain a very hefty boy.

Those where my kids. As crazy rat lady as that may sound. I could talk about them for days but heres some things I have to say on pet rats

I never ONCE got bit hard enough to draw blood, they grabbed my fingers at rare times when they thought I had something for them but were just as quick to let go and cover my finger in kisses.

Rats are as clean as you keep them, I did full cage cleanings on wednesdays and saturdays where pans were washed and towels replaced. Every day after work I would spot clean any rubbish,bits of cardboard and droppings. I never had a issue with smell. If your rats stick up the days you clean your cage out, its not their fault.

The only hard part is what I'm dealing with now. Loss. They wont live half as long as you want. They all have their own personalty and are irreplaceable. My first two years where amazing, but the last two were peppered with the passing of my rats and Its not easy to see a rat make it over 2 short years then decline so rapidly from fat and happy to old and thin.


I dont plan on getting more rats for now. My huge cage will be cleaned and dismantled...but I will have them again someday.

I have alot of wips going but nothing finished, but man when it is its gonna be good :D I'll likely finish them all around the same time. Hoping to get the halloween image done before..well halloween.

Had some bad sickish days, mild colds and such. With luck I wont get the flu... but since I wont suffer a flu shot...Im likely gonna get the flu. X( Why must you be this way fall ?

I'm getting things done just very rocky and sad here.

Tomorrow I have to take Rookie to be put to sleep...Over the past 6 months he's gone slowly downhill into old man ratness. His pains have stacked to the point I have to let go. Cataracts? Rats eyes arnt great to start with, no big deal. Hind end degeneration ? He's the second rat Ive had with it, sad to watch but so long as you keep the cage clean, help them keep themselves clean and lower or remove high levels..not cause to euthanize. But over the last few days he's flinched from my touch and I've been manually holding a waterbottle for him to drink since he dosnt seem to want to move to the hanging ones (or he's enjoying my doting on him). He's more perky today but still painful so I had to make the call.

He's in pain and its time but its never ever easy.

I will only have Krummpus when Rooks gone. I hate for Krummps to be alone but he's going to be 2 years old in a month. He's been around old boys for the past year so he's been the strongest and I dont trust him not to bully a new adult male (none of my boys were altered) and I want to take some time from my rats so I cant get a baby. Not that I wont have more rats, but once Rookie is gone I'll have lost 7 of the 8 amazing rats I've had in the past 4 years. I got my girls back in the start of '11 to help me cope with the death of my brother. They were all priceless personaltys and amazing pets. I know I wont be able to resist getting new babys someday.

Only 3 since i still have commissions but I have to replace my headset, the left side is buzzing and cuting out and %80 of my time at the computer i have my headset on so yar, have to do something.

On that side note, anyone know of a good headset with mic that lasts more then 2 weeks and dosnt squeeze your head like a vice ?

Life. wow.

Had damaged power lines and poles after the fire so i basically unpluged for awhile. I have no energy, I could sleep 20 hours a day if work didnt have to happen. I know since I've been in a coma most weekends. Dont know if its depression or what but im sick of it -_-

Lost Tootles last weekend...wasnt a easy death and I'm still hurting for it. Now I only have 2 year old Rookie and year and a half Krumpus..:(

All that with a dash of minor chaos of normal life and you got a dizzy soup.

But! I'm back, I'm arting, I'm hoping that my ever elusive normal will come back to me.

Thank you all for the concern and sorry for worrying. The burn took out 75 acres so far of 100 acres behind my house. No houses have been lost. Also heli chops with water buckets are epic. there wasnt any progress till they showed up.

Theres a chance for flair ups, ashs were everywhere so the fire could pop up but for now I'm safe.

I'm making this since theres a chance i wont be able to soon. Theres a fire in the woods behind my house and its near enough i can see the spoter plane do his whole circle round. I will update later if all is well. not trying to panic but if this goes bad the internet is the least of things for me to worry about.

They closed off the roads in to and out of where i live, cop car at the end of the street and fire depart about 8 houses down. Lots of smoke, bits of ash, wind is blowing away from the house tword the fire so small blessing.

Not calling to evac yet since they closed the road off, they wont even let folks with ids in to get to there houses, most of are neighbors are having to walk home from the block off.

Rats in pet carrier,Dog on leash,Bird in smaller cage,Fish doomed. Photos near door and I'll pull plugs and grab my tower and leave the screen if it comes to it.

Gonna be a long night. Hope for the best :/

Its still burning, cant see fire yet but the smoke is coming from behind the house. Hopeing the fire depo ups there game real soon

They have power trucks coming by to cut power if need be so this might be the last post till this is over.

We now have a water bucket heli going back and forth back there, less smoke on are end, went from 6 to 20 acres thou so still on edge.

Been sick, been depressed, lost TWO of my rat babys (Ni and Nibs ;;), been pissed beyond words, lost alot of sleep watching the bs that unfolds across the street (fucking crackhouse), Trying to find somewhere to move, Trying to sell a Car to get ANOTHER Car and just Argh, Grr, Whine, Complain.

So yeah I'm not dead I'm still working on my last few commissions had to scrap the starter sketches i did while sick since i didn't like how they were going. I'm might not be a fast artist but im hoping my quality makes up for it. ;;
