Suit price increase
Posted 3 years agoHello, it's been a while since I have made a journal and I find it might be worth doing one this time round.
I'll be increasing my custom fursuit prices at the end of 2022,the price increase comes due to the rising costs of materials especially furs. I have kept my eye in affordability for customers and if I can find cheaper materials when I come across it I will definitely pass on the savings to the customers. A massive thank you to all who have commissioned me so far and to my new or potential clients I hope to work with you all soon!
The price increase will be shown a bit later through the months when I can calculate it into a percentage.

Hello and welcome to all my new followers here in my FA!I thought I just make a journal on what you can expect from me this year and what changes, if any, are going to take place.
Fursuit slots for 2021:-
Currently my slots are closed until the late end of April but that doesn't mean I'll be open again on that specific date. I have a fair few suits that are now paid up and I can no longer take on any more until my list has cleared.
Quotes:-
They are open! My quotes are always open to those who are interested but I've been toying with the idea of charging a small amount for the quote as I get so many that seem to be in the cusp of buying only to ghost me. As you can imagine it's very frustrating so this is an idea to tackle the time wasters.
Quotes given this year will be honoured for 6 months instead of 3.
Fursuit payment plans:-
Yep! I offer payment plans for fursuit slots. Spread the cost over 6 months, this means those who do not have the entire amount on one go don't need to worry. Please bare in mind that if you go for this option your fursuit slot will be need to be paid off 100% before it's started, this is to ensure I don't waste my time making it only for it to be cancelled. Cancelled suit commissions will not be refunded in full, 30% of the cost will be forfeit due to material costs and work carried out.
Shipping outside the UK:-
For the time being shipping to all European countries are still going ahead and I will send to the USA for extra costs.
Cheap fursuit head slot available

Due to a client backing out I have a fursuit head slot open for the low price of £350 (shipping not included). The reason its so low is because I just was to recoup a loss on my end and I'm going to pass the savings onto you, my gorgeous followers!
The head (if you want it) will include:
Follow me eyes.
Magnetic eyelids.
2 Interchangeable tongues.
Balaclava.
I will consider most if not all species but I'd love to work on another big cat if possible.
As it's such a low price I require either full payment or 50% upfront and 50% at a date agreed to between myself and the commissioner. This will not be started until October and shipping will need to be paid upon completion of the head.

Age restriction:-
I WILL NOT WORK WITH UNDER 18s - Due to Paypals rules, no one under the age of 18 is allowed to own an account this means I won't work with anyone under this age. However if you have a parent or legal guardian that will work with us on your behalf we will consider it. We will only talk to the adult in this case so make sure you tell them all the information we need.
QUOTES: Quotes will be valid for 6 months from the date it was given, the quote will be honoured for the price given even if the prices were to rise.
PAYMENTS:-
Partial Suits: A 30% deposit is required to secure your slot, this will be the cost of your materials and is non refundable. If you wish to pay in full 30% of which will still be non refundable.
Payment plans: We offer payment plans only to partials or any orders over £200, we cannot offer plans on single parts such as feet, tails and hands paws. Plans will be worked out between us and the buyer and will be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Quotes: Quotes are a rough estimate and do not reflect the final price, it may be the same or greater so please make sure you have enough put aside. Quotes will be honoured if in the event we raise our prices and the given quote will only last for 3 months. Quotes do not guarantee a slot, who ever pays first or places their deposit gets the slot.
REFERENCES:-
A clear (SFW) reference sheet of your character is needed to give a quote, a front, back and side view is needed.TheKraftyHyena offers them on commission if you are in need of one or there are plenty of artists out there that offer great rates to get a ref sheet.
CANCELLING A COMMISSION:-
We reserve the right to cancel a commission for any reason at any time. If we are the ones to cancel you will be given a refund based on the amount of work we have completed and will not reflect the amount you have already paid in.
If YOU cancel the commission the refund will be made dependent on the amount of work we have done, you will not get 100% of your full payment.
WIP'S:-
We send WIP updates to our commissioners at each step upon request (foam, fur, etc). These pictures are also posted on our Facebook page.
Please do not constantly message us regarding your commission, we are busy and sometimes do not have time to reply, if we haven't got back to you in 48 hours please send us another message.
DEADLINES: We do not currently take rush orders or deadlines for commissions. This is due to having family commitments as a parent to a disabled child. YOU MAY BE GIVEN A START DATE BUT THIS SINT SET IN STONE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
ALLERGIES: If you are allergic to anything synthetic or are allergic to dogs please let us know at the quote process, we own dogs and although they arnt allowed in the work area their hair does find it's way in.
PROBLEMS: If there are any issues with your build during the making process please let us know. You will be shown fur matches and colours for you to choose from to make sure we will have the right shade. If this shade is wrong once it arrives you will be charged again to correct this. Example: 'customer agreed to blue fur shown to them, when it arrived it was darker that expected, customer wants a lighter shade and the cost of a replacement fur will cost £25 which will be paid by the buyer'
LABOR: Labor is included in the final cost of the commission however should any changes be made part way through the creation process there will be an additional labor fee due to more time being spent to correct it. Please make sure you're happy with the wips before it's finalized.
GUARANTEE:-
All suits come with a 3 month guarantee. If something breaks or you pop a seam within the first 3 months of owning your suit, you can ship it back to us (at your cost) , and we will repair it, free of charge!
If your suit is used for anything sexual, that is your choice. However, the 3 month repair guarantee will be voided. We will only work on SFW suits.
If your suit looks like you've tried to repair it yourself we will charge you £25 to correct it.
COPYRIGHT:-
Unfortunately, we cannot make suits of copyrighted characters full or in part, that includes other popular fursuits. If we believe the suit you want made is a copy or rip off version we will refuse commission.
ABUSE:-
TheKraftyHyena does not tolerate abuse of any kind whether that be verbal, harassment and threats. You will be blacklisted immediately and banned from purchasing future items.
PAYMENT ISSUES:-
Defaulting two payments for what ever reason will result in work to placed in hold or even stop completely. Payment agreements should not be broken and if you are experiencing financial difficulties please let us know asap so we are aware. We are professional and will give you time to make the payments and bring them up them date. We reserve the right to stop work and refund you all monies apart from the deposit that was used for materials and refit/redesign the item to sell as a premade.
CHARGEBACK'S:-
If you take back payments you will be blacklisted and will be subject to a dispute, we will pursue you for the money.
SHIPPING:-
The buyer pays for shipping. TheKraftyHyena is not responsible for loss or damage to your items once they have been shipped/posted. No refund will be given.
A tracking number will be given for you purchase.
RUSH ORDERS/FEES
Although we don't work to deadlines we do offer a rush order fee that bumps you to the top of the queue which will be an extra £50

Posted 10 years agoOver the past few months I've been receiving messages from people that are interested in commissions from me but has requested it be of a mature nature. Now as an artist I don't feel comfortable drawing penis and vaginas especially when they demand penetrative images.

If I decline you're commission dont get mad, don't tell me I'm ' cutting out a huge part of the furry community' , dont tell me I'm throwing money away, and don't tell me I'm a shit artist because you've been rejected. My art was nice enough for you to ask for a commission in the first place xD you've just accomplished in making yourself look like the biggest plonker going. That being said I don't mind drawing sexy themes but I have a young family and I'd rather not try to explain to my 9 year old why that dog is being made to swollow that dragons willy. Respect me and accept my decision.
There are hundreds of artists out there, amazing artists, the draw fantasticly that accept mature work. I will happily point you into the right direction. To insult me and my work doesn't do you any favours.
