I just wanted to start out saying 2016 was a great year for me. Everyone acts alienated from yesteryear as if it kicked their dead puppy, given there a bunch of notable artists who passed away, David Bowie, George Micheal, Carrie Fisher (honestly that wasn't a surprise), or trump winning the election (more to follow), Brexit, Syria, fake news, or even the death of Harambe, I still think 2016 was a good year. As time goes on the baby boomers will die. America is several decades or a few really big events away from ripping itself open, we are still the greatest country in the universe, we will be ok. On a personal note I got out of the army, and got a new job, which was crap, but got another and should be making even more money then I was in the army. Even After bills.

Ok, so late June I did my 6 month early out and fast tracked the fuck out of the army as fast as I possibly could, I needed a career change, I think we can all relate to that feel. More specifically the Army's current structural organization would have sent me on a back and fourth rotation between texas and korea, I would not want to do that for several years. I joined with the intent of fighting people who hate us. I wanted to see a deployment to afghanistan or iraq, or if god willed it fighting for gods people murdering isis. But sadly that was not the reality of the situation, while I did enjoy 9 months of Korea, I wasn't going to let my future take the hit, i am capable of more then mopping floors, cleaning guns, and baby sitting some guy on the otherside of the DMZ.

I got out faster then I thought I would but I landed a job trucking. I have friends in the industry who top 50-60k a year. I know the amount I could make could be even higher. Its easy, and was better than not having a plan and flipping burgers. My first truck job paid for my class A CDL, so inherently the pay for my work was utter shit, not even topping what I made in the Army with specialist pay. 6 months later, now, I am waiting to drive out to my next job this weekend, they are based in Atlanta GA, but the pay is 2-3x as much. And I should have plenty of time to goto cons, namely TFF, AC, and MFF.

However with all this this is a temporary change, I can already feel the loneliness (BTW I broke up and am single now too lol) of the job, just me and a codriver for tens of thousands of miles for months at a time. I need to cash out on my GI Bill. I am really thinking about going Law Enforcement Officer and then after a couple years going SWAT. The logic being, being in a job that lives by the gun can land me an even better job working for some 3 letter alphabet soup federal agency but idk yet, I haven't ran the numbers. Going to stay with my current job for at least a year and save some money.

I didn't vote trump. But he IS my president. And if he fucks up royally he should be under the same scrutiny ever other president has had. I am not so retarded to think that because I hate my president I wish he would fail, this is some of the most immature crap I have heard in my years of vaguely trying to understand politics.

I used to identify as Libertarian. I used to think people shouldn't be fucked with. I used to think we shouldn't fuck with other people either. But given 4 years of maturity since last election I can whole heartedly say economically and socially the Conservative party is the way to go. It is chalked full of its own problems, weather if its anti-gays or incumbent members in it for themselves, but this is hardly specific to them, the Democrats have it as well. I'll even argue the Democrats are even more about exploiting the average american and protecting the establishment then the Republicans and Conservatives ever were. Healthcare shouldn't be free. Education shouldn't be free. Both should be privatized so both have to compete to offer better services then the next guy. The governments job is to offer an appeals court that also studies law, protect our nation, address foreign interests/relations, and ensure the states are acting fairly. Everything else should be power to the people and states, like the founding fathers intended.

I do think trump is generally doing good. He's addressing the elephant in the room that is our broken immigration policy, he's trying to bring back our manufacturing jobs that will actually help heal our economy, and he's tackinling spending to fix this cash hemorrhage obama started, weather if its the federal reserve being shit, or obamacare. Trump is upsetting a few people to protect the best interest of this nation. I just hope it works and is given the time and room to do so.

I sold my fursuit a couple weeks ago, I was going to get a better one but I got some life stuff coming up, not going to rant about it, so now I am fursuit-less, and now lack the dedicated funding to purchase another. I almost don't feel like a furry anymore for doing that as thats one of two things keeping me in this fandom. Luckily my inner circles of friends and intrests are going to keep in this community for a very long time. I am just being super impatient, slowly waiting for the day, I can don a suit again, if I said I wasn't slightly depressed for selling it I'd be a liar.

Contrary to how my activity looks on here, I am on FA every day, so feel free to shoot a comment every once in a while or private message. I can also be found on skype. I have really really slow with art, I am at a block right now. I am trying to work my way out of drawing such toony charachters, but the next big leap in making better art is difficult and discouraging. But I got 4-5 projects I am working on, no ETA on their finish dates yet but next month feels good for a couple.

Also, bought the stuff for making a fursuit, I pieced together a bunch of references and information and am going to start construction this weekend hopefully, I decided to go with resuming the species I started last time, a German Shepherd. So maybe some time in a month or two pending I can keep to personal deadlines, I will have a GSD up on Furbuy, and I can get some experience and profit going for another suit.

I told myself I would not start this until I finsih my current art que and suit, but once my creative engine gets to full RPM again me and roomie really wanna make and sell some custom T-Shirts, pending it goes good enough make a few more other designs, etc etc.

As for life itself things are going good. The military has taken a back seat for the time being, I am just going to keep bothering my current recuiter for now which seems pointless but at least I am doing something. Work is good, my position isn't too difficult, nor too easy. Only complaint is the time I spend away from home and the skimpy pay check vs my max capability as a worker. Um, am bad at time managment and got a bunch of projects I need to do. Same o same o.

HOW IS EVERYONE ELSE?

I've always wanted to join the Marines, and have done a lot (not everything of coarse cause lazyness) to try to get in. Once I hit 17 I tired to get wavered but parents wouldn't sign me off. So I waited a year, and my Junior/Senior year started talking to a recruiter that eventually Disqualified me for a year cause I said I was on depression pills at the time. Fast forward to graduation, I started looking fora job to get me through my post schooling experience. July came and my mom passed away which put me in a position I had to deal with harshly, making life work for me, by myself. So for the last 2 years or so I been caught up in working full time so I rarely bother to do anything outside of video games, sleeping, and work. But around last fall-ish I had enough of this minimum wage shit, and pointless promotions with no reward system. So I started talking to another recruiter for the Marines and its constant run arounds.

-First its "wait till after new years cause scheduling is kinda shitty for me right now" or some shit followed by
-a month of trying to get an appointment to go down to his office. Eventually I took a day off from work and did. It went very well, took another Asvab and got fanastic scores.
-He said to call back after my vacation to Further Confusion. So i did and he said to keep calling back every 2 weeks cause the Marine Corp is not looking for anyone right now. Right now they are only targeting graduating students. But I did get put onto a waiting list and could possibly ship in a few months.
-Last week I was supposed to call him Monday. I did. And Tuesday and all week but his phone appears to be off or he doesn't want to answer it. Its invigorating.

I have always wanted to be a Marine my yearning and desire goes back to early childhood and no not BF3 or CoD images of how awesome it is to do shit like this, but rather to fight for ones country, get schooling, learn great trades and all that jazz. Also cause of the BF3 and CoD depictions. Also cause I am moto as fuck. But beyond that, really. I can't take working minimum wage job after minumum wage job. So if my dreams can't come true I am working towards other easily attainable goals in life that are wise decisions, and so far the Army is looking very appealing as I can't seem to get into the Marines. I am going to try to get a hold of a different recruiter, and maybe I can work some magic. But if my Marine dream dies for the next 4 years I am joining the Army.

I am always striving to be happy, and to maintain good outlooks and moods. But I have been in a bad disposition off and on since Further Confusion ended and I can't do much about it. Right now I am operating with minimal sleep for 3 days, and put up with a ton of bullshit in general, with a new job, bike fell apart when I left work, am now 600 in debt, small financial cliff I can't navigate for this month, and adjusting to post-con life. I am angry at getting terminated from my old job before Christmas, and angrier the new job I have is no where near as challenging. Another thing is a person in my life whom values me as much as I him (no homo), who provides me so much, but totally neglects other things I value. This person is very amiable, I'd bend over backwards for him. But there are times I feel there is an animosity I feel he has towards me, I can't avoid without changing who I am as a person. Which infuriates me on the inside, and very rarely do I verbally let it emanate in a healthy way. I tend to bottle this up out of respect of the guy. But there are times these feeling instigate other normally dormant feelings, too of which being loneliness, and deaths and separations of my family. Which leads to another personal problem I have had since before FC that comes and goes.

This problem frequently comes back full circle since FC drew to a close. Three times more so then it did prior. I have some cardinal instincts I can't explain, for doing things, that I use to cope with the above, and or general frustration or depression in life I have had before. And what I do works, it really is a stress reliever. I am just going to say it, its babyfur. The whole ABDL thing. Doing stuff like that in private brings a beautiful affection for the smaller qualities of life. I have found doing said things with others whom also value these activities, is even more spectacular, I can't think of happier things to do in life with such brevity and impact. I cubbed out a lot with others at FC, and many times before. But FC was the high-point in my life and I can't cope with problems using this tool as well as I used to. Now I feel it nessecary to be with another cub when I feel bad, but I got no one currently to do anything with on the level I want right now.

I write this cause I don't really have anymore means to effectively manipulate a bad mood into a good one. And writing my mood out, helps a little. Even if no one reads this. Went from a 3/10 to a 5/10. Now, lets play some video games then goto bed for work tom marrow.

My gallery is full of crap, that isn't really even art, I want an account dedicated to my fursuit and my art. I am thinking of nuking the art on this one and shifting it all over to my alternate, which actually has my fursona name in the User field. Cause I went to show off some of my talent to a couple people, and it takes a little work to find said stuffs. Due to their being so much clutter of generic photography, meme stuff, or fursuit stuff. Kinda just waiting for reaffirmation from someone to coax me into doing it, that I am not making a full retard move.

I got put on a waiting list, there are 4 guys ahead of me for MEPs. Looks like I will probably be getting processed FINALLY around march-may sometime. If that goes well, should, then bootcamp shortly after. Hopefully. Took long enough, my recruiter was putting me off for the last few months then he finally sat down with me a week or two ago. Took a practice ASVAP and got an AQFT of 78 which is not bad, and kinda impressive from what he said. It did not have the mechanical or general science sections. On a previous VAB I took in HS I got really high there, particularly in auto and mechanical comprehension, got 99 in one of those.

Quick and short, so a guy armed with several weapons, and body armor, stormed a theatre full of people, and unloaded. 12 were killed and 50+ Injured.

I can't argue what happened was terrible, and I send my condolences to the families of the deceased. Who I don't send any respect to is the media. I should be able to read a news article and not find how much the mother of the shooter's house is. That IS exploitation. A few other examples exist here and there.
