But I've ALSO been busy with work and even MOOOOOOOORE busy with novelizing. I actually just finished, unironically and without exaggeration, my FOURTEENTH NOVEL PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SEND HELP.

Posted a year agoAs the journal's title says, I'm not dead. Just had a VERY rough span when I got kicked out of the house I'd lived in for the last eight years. Rough, as I said. But I'm better now, in an apartment, and doing my own thing properly once again.
Though just because I've not been around, lately, doesn't mean I haven't been productive. I've been writing a LOT. Just in the past... six/seven/eight months since I've been incommunicado, I've been writing like a fucking FIEND. I've gotten, to date, nine novels finished. Always looking for more people to read, copy-edit, and critique them. I AM in the process of seeking out a literary agent to get them published, but that is on my end rather than y'alls.
At present, project wise, I'm working on a rewrite for my first novel completed, Sea of Broken Glass. It's not nearly as bad as I'd first thought, honestly, the style and perspective is just... odd. So I decided to rewrite it because that's what it'd have taken to get it printable ANYWAY. So keep an eye out for that and updates on it, if you care.
Sea of Broken Glass is like... Harry Potter if, instead of it being genetic predisposition to magic, shit's caught like rabies. No, that's not a joke, either. Involves magical friends and yanking souls out to make said magical friends :D
I've done a few novels, as I've mentioned, and eight of them are furry. We've got angry wolf becomes a dad to a meerkat and bro to a fox and badger, angry gay tiger daddy protects his son, wolf boy and tiger boy being badasses, wolf boy being bigger badass as he's being targetted, sad wolf boy standing up to literally everyone, buff otter daddy adopts pandas as his niece and nephews, and bun-daddy makes a great dad to lion girl. In the works, I've got gay hyena daddy protects his son, gay dalmatian daddy adopts a gecko as he goes on a crusade, big bad bear daddy and his son are badasses seprately, and cheetah-go-nyoom.

Novelizing
Posted 2 years agoSo, for those that may or may not know, I'm a novelist, I've finished six novels so far (with a seventh MOSTLY done), yet not one of them is published. That's cuz I need folks to first-draft edit them so I can send them on to be published. If you're interested, for the love of god, note me and we will talk and I will be eternally grateful for inputs and edits.
I haven't stopped writing, of course, and I don't think I ever will. What started out as a singular novel inspired by a simple bit of music has spawned an entire UNIVERSE of novels. First one, then four, then six, and more popping up frequently. Every single one of them is furry so there's no dang excuses for y'all not to be excited about it! Personally, I think they're good, but then again, I'm the creator, and I WANT them to be good and liked. I WANT people to read the stories and grow from them, because, bluntly, that's what writing is, to me. It's about seeing the characters going through trials and coming through stronger, better, seeing your own trials and using the lessons learned in letters into reality.

But also because I want people to know, the ones who care, anyway, to know that I've made a Telegram channel strictly for my novels and writing. To take a picture, to glean what information I can and write from that
Prices:
$5 (usd) per 1000 words (will not be precisely 1000, but will be at least 1000)
Multiple pictures cost more because each picture will get another 1000 words
Excludes the same picture with minor variations
Rules:
I reserve the right to refuse any picture or content that I do not wish to embrace
Ask about content, I may agre to write, but ask the story not be credited to me
Includes pictures that are of poor quality or skill
I will be populating a head-canon for a picture, I need a bit in my favor
Pictures do not need to be owned by the commissioner/requester
The idea is that the stories are INSPIRED by the picture
as such, I do not claim any rights to the pic, its characters, or content, only my interpretation of them

as such, the requester may give basic information, names/species/etc.

Posted 2 years agoSo I have to wonder. I'm an author, I've written a plurality of novels, with well in excess of a library's worth of notes on future titles that I will (maybe[hopefully]) write. One of the things that's stuck out to me, more than once, is how things will be taken.
The first novel I did that wasn't garbage is a furry-focused noir novel about a detective with serious trauma. The follow-up novels are much... brighter. He has kids, a good life, a family, and I have tried to write that out NICELY, to express the goodness there. But, as I said, one of the things I wonder and worry about is how things will be taken, both in context and out of context.
If I attain ANY level of attention or notoriety, I know furries will invariably find the works and do what furries do best.
I know that on inkbunny, for instance, I could write a wholesome story about a kid and his adopted younger brother going out in kid's space ship and bonding. It would be sweet and kind and nice and in MY words and heart, it is that way.
But I also know that the scene, playing out as adopted brother on kid's lap would, can, and WILL be corrupted and perverted by furries. I am just in the unique position of being able to, and forced to see that, see everyone in the fandom, not just in the wholesome instance of brothers bonding, but turning any and all of these works, my dreams and efforts into something unsavory and debauched. And I see, at EVERY instance, the potentiality for exactly that as I write
That one talking about how lovely his brother's fiance is (cuck scene!) Those ones talking about how lovely that fiery bitch of a mercenary is (Manage e trois!) How terribly handsome that tiger daddy finds buff badger daddy (no need to dig deeper into that one).
On one hand, I am doing things, writing these furry novels knowing fully well what can and will be done to them. I'm writing them in SPITE of those potential, erroneous interpretations of what the interactions actually are. But on the other hand, part of me WANTS to see the smut flow, part of me wants to see the debauchery and sin, no matter how implausible and odd it might be in my own canon universe.
I want to see these things partially because I enjoy the smut, I can't lie I enjoy seeing the endless, debauched creativity of furries, it never ceases to amuse and impress me. I have LONG since gotten past the point of being aroused by furry smut, and honestly, I view purely for aesthetic appreciation anymore.
But it's also a great deal more than that as well. I took the works I'm writing, five novels AT THE LEAST based purely on inspiration I received from one single piece of media, a music video on an admittedly decent song. A literal UNIVERSE of media and ideas from one tiny four minute song. What could you, all of you and beyond do with that entire universe of media and ideas in turn? It terrifies me and excites me and offends me all at once and I love it and hate it.
The potential for being misunderstood, the potential for my words and ideas to be misused is so... omnipresent, that I am INFLICTED with the knowledge of what I'm doing as I write every. Fucking. Scene. I cannot tell you how tiresome it is, to just... pour your heart and soul out into type and know that when it's all said and done, someone is going to take it and turn it into porn. Many someones, most likely.
This isn't in an effort to dissuade you all from doing what you do, wasted breath to ever try to do that, it's more to try and explain that what you see isn't what is intended. The holes in the narratives aren't for you to ejaculate into. They're not to fill in the blanks with your own narratives and ideas... And yet that's exactly what they're there for. Fill those holes with your own dreams and let them take flight and grow. Breed your own brand of universe from the spaces where others can't fill.
Just know that what you're doing may or may not be what the creator wanted or intended. Know that as a creator, as a dreamer, as a world builder, I hope that you show more maturity than a kid with a permanent marker and a blank wall, and less maturity than an adult by letting your imagination and dreams run fucking wild.
Yes, I know this diatribe is contradictory and back-and-forth, but I needed to say it, it's been weighing on me quite terribly for a while. I hope you understand what I mean. I have no intention of deviating or stopping, but I still hope you know what I mean. I hope this lesson hits home and finds as fertile ground as the holes in the universes I make for YOUR dreams.

Posted 2 years agoI've been... VERY busy. Writing. Lots. And lots. Of writing. I've finished four novels in as many months. Jesus... fluffing christ. That has taken up so much time, energy, and creativity, it's insane. But, I'm honestly really really happy with the results. I'm still needing people to help copy-edit it before I try and send it on to publishers. If anyone's interested, feel free to send a note and I'll gladly add ya. It's all done using googledocs so... very easy heh

As a side note, do try to keep these things private, don't go posting them places, I don't want to say I'm trying to keep my furriness in the closet, but I can't imagine it'd help much if/when I try to get published.

Posted 3 years agome?! My dog! It was my birthday and I totally didn't tell people about it (except those who're in my art channel, they knew!) So here I am, saying, yesterday was my birthday. I am officially three decades old. I am, despite what my foxy mate (@kaydenaerofox) thinks, in the decade of my life that is beyond the age of youth and sexiness, and below the age of "daddy". I am just... meh for the next decade.

I am, at present, a night shifter. I work from nine forty five PM central standard time to six am (also central). I get on telegram to break up the endless, unrelenting monotony of my job. I get on simply to talk, to chat, to commisserate, to be friendly, NOT to roleplay. Because I'm at work, there will be times when my replies are delayed, sometimes for quite a long while, so roleplaying, aside from me being at work and that being not a good thing to do, its simply not feasible anyway.
That said, I do enjoy talking to people, and am totally fine if you want to do just that; by all means send me a message and I'll chat! But if you're going to try to roleplay with me, don't. Spare us both the hassle and annoyance, and just don't.

Ok, so I legitimately NEED some input
Posted 4 years agoSo, as some of you may or may not know, I am an aspiring novelist, I'm about halfway through my first book, the first in a series I call Catching Magic, Sea of Broken Glass, and hope to have it done by my birthday. But as far fewer of you know, I am, what I like to call, TERMINALLY CREATIVE. By that I mean I can LITERALLY NEVER STOP THINKING OF NEW IDEAS. Sure, sounds nice, being able to have so many ideas, never be wanting for the next big thing. But that completely overshadows everything else UNTIL the next big thing. Bluntly speaking, creativity is a fucking curse. =w=
