Need renders to make Red Dahl chest from Borderlands 2
Posted 12 years agoI got it in my head that I want to eventually make a life sized version of the Red Dahl weapons chest. http://images.wikia.com/borderlands....._crate_red.jpg
It'll be as close to scale as I can comfortably get it, and alas lack the automated internal panels. It'll be a storage chest for games and such, thus I need the inside space.
My problem here is that I've found these deliciously high detailed, official renders of the green chest.

But I've found little for the red chest beyond the wiki page. Sure I could take screenshots, but I'd rather have something highly detailed like those examples.

Crisis averted, Also first gun purchase
Posted 12 years agoSo my guy at the local gamestop store set things straight to a satisfactory degree. I didn't lose any of my pre-orders nor any money put in to them, and everything is all set so this hopefully does not happen again.
These guys are the only reason why I didn't boycott the store, and I made sure that I told them that.
In other news I made my first gun purchase. Was pretty nervous about it at first, but I did some looking around and had favored the Taurus Judge/Defender line. But once at the store I ended up going with the S&W Governor. Felt better when holding it. I also start my first gun safety and handling class in the beginning of March.
Also, A bird just hit my window while I was typing this up. So, that's an awesome omen to have.

Now the store, gamestop website, and helpdesk all have no records of the four games I had preordered. God of War Ascension, Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider, and Bayonetta 2. The former three were limited edition preorders.
I also happened to leave my phone at home when I went to the store, so I couldn't figure out my -old- phone number. Which proves how useful having a long standing account with them is. Store clerk couldn't do anything.
So I go home and call their helpdesk. Which of course is answered by some indonesian speaking lady who mumbles, talks too fast, and has me repeat everything more loudly.
She also doesn't even know the titles of the games her company sells. I had to literally SPELL OUT God of War Ascension, Bayonetta, and correct her that it was Metal Gear Rising, not Metal Gear Revising...
So after spending 40 minutes on the phone, with roughly only 15 minutes actually spent not on hold, she finally tells me that my request has been sent to another department. I don't know where, and it'll take up to three days for them to call or email me back after they see if I have the preorders that I claim to have.
It takes them three days, To look at the history of one name, visiting one store, with one account number who bought four games.
Words cannot describe how goddamn livid I am right now.

AC room aquired. Open for roommates.
Posted 13 years agoSo I got my room registered for AC. I'll be staying in the Westin with a standard twin room.
Like with FC and previous conventions my roommate deal still stands. It'll be open to people whom I know and trust, and to them the room is free of charge. Meaning I pay for the room and do not expect roommates to pay their 'share'.
I do however expect them to be courteous, clean, and ask they buy a few food and drink supplies for the room to share.
I do not overcrowd my rooms. Typically having only 2 people including myself. Max of 4 if I feel comfortable with all people involved. Suiters are welcome.

I'll be arriving early on the 17th and leaving late on the 21st.
So far I'm rooming with Startide (And his paws).
I'm open to having another roommate but only for people I know.
The reason for that being obvious, but also because I do not charge a share of the room price.
I only ask that my roommates use a bit of the money they save from that to stock it with some food and drinks.Also to smother crows under paw
So who of you that bother to read this will be there?
Hanging out with crows is vital to your con experienceand to getting your paws rubbed.

My back is stiff, it hurts, and I've little flexibility at the moment. But from what I can tell it's more from the incision site then my back itself.
So I'm taking it easy, using a cold gel pack and have a brand new bottle of happy pain pills.
I'm also waiting on the slew of Get-Better-Soon paw pics. Just what are you people doing with your time anyway? >:V Certainly not catering to my self induced pity!

Taking up Photography, Need assistance/Tips
Posted 13 years agoSo I think I'm going to finally put down for a good professional grade camera. I enjoy taking pictures, especially at conventions, and tire of doing so with my phone regardless of how good of pictures it takes.
Thing is I'm totally new to all of the terminology and equipment.
I've self-learned how to handle a camera overall, position pictures and novice methods of manipulating the proper lighting. However I've never had to deal with having, handling and maintaining my own camera.
A friend suggested the Sony NEX and I'm leaning towards it already due to it being compact yet advanced, the NEX-7 to be exact. (Though the only thing I don't see on it is manual shutter control.)

Accessory wise, I'll get the obvious things, a case, lens cap and some cleaning/maintenance supplies (Though I'm unsure what to get exactly for that last one).

Update on my back condition. The problem and the truth.

I have three herniated disks. Two of them in the lower back are extruding out against the nerve.
On October 5th I'll go in to surgery for a 1-2 hour procedure that will carefully open my lower back and snip out these two extruding pieces, in hopes it will help cure my spinal shift and the pain that comes from it.
However what I've been afraid to admit is that I've essentially destroyed my lower back. Scans show I have the upper back of a standard 26 year old man, But my lower back has decayed to that of a 50 or 60 year old. A fact that terrifies me to no end.
However, pain can be medicated and given therapy. My primary concern is still solving what ever problem is causing my inability to stand straight. I will crack down on curving my weight, exercising and strengthening my core to aid the weakened back.
But living as crooked person is not something I look forward to.

I have a double reserved at the San Jose Marriott for the 17th thru the 21st.
Thinking of opening for 2 roommates, a 3rd if it's someone I know well.
I'd like to have roommate(s) in who my interest is shared.
Not a requirement, not an expectation. Just a desire that can be set aside.
What I do require though are the obvious rules.
Clean up after yourself. Place will obviously be untidy, but I won't allow a slob.
Drinking is fine. Just no heavy/binge/party drinking.
Smoking is gentle maybe. No tobacco, but a bit of 420 would be allowed depending on the room. IE if there's a open window/balcony or good venting. I dunno.
Sex allowance is unlikely. But if I know you and you ask me legitimately about it we can come to terms. IE, no random con yiffing.
Finally, Pricing.
Roommates will be required to pay: Food and drinks.
This is why I'm strict on choosing who I allow to stay. I will pocket the entire room cost myself, all you need to do is hit the corner store and bring in a case or two of drinks and maybe some munchies.

The Soldier's new launcher is fun to play with.
Pyrovision is trippy as hell,
And having just got my Source Filmmaker beta key, I'm damn excited to try it out.
But even with all that, overall, The Pyromania update is a disappointment to me. Why?
Because the Pyro got -ONE- new weapon, which I'm still not sure whether is good or not.
Everything else is just a reskin of the vanilla weapons and items.
Previous class updates came with multiple items, mostly a complete new loadout for that class.
Pyro? Nah. We'll just re-hash stuff with a gimmick and give the other classes the decent weapons.
Yes, I'm still sore about it even now.

MACRO FLUXX - Bigger is Better (Development)
Posted 13 years agoWhilst at AC I picked up on the contagion that is Fluxx, then figured, why not make a Micro/Macro version?
So right now I'm waiting for my flight out of here whilst thinking of ideas.
Any ideas for cards would be appreciated. If I can get a realistically playable deck going ,I may very well have a real deck made. Maybe multiple ones for sale.
Feel free to give as many ideas as you like. But please only worthwhile card ideas. I'm rather serious about doing this.

Contagious Growth - Any time this would be discarded, it is instead passed to the left

ROGUE/Megawolfe Creeper - Removed by discarding 2 Micros(Complete with backwards letters in the card name)
Army Creeper - Moves to player with the most Growths
Ungoal: Microscopic - If no growth cards are in play, all players may play 1 growth from their hand. If none are in play, and no players have a Growth to play, the game is over and nobody wins.
...Among various random ideas. But these I'm enjoying the most so far.

Ian's Villainous Alter Ego...

I had fun making Alex in to a Villain obsessed with weaponized toys and non-lethal demolition.
I'm thinking Ian has the perfect personality to be a villain as well. He's vain, greedy, jealous, and enjoys having others do his dirty work for him. I'm thinking he'd be similar to Poison Ivy. Putting a little more emphasis on that hypnotism thing hinted to here in his Profile
Why should he get his talons dirty, when he can just stare all deep in to
rogue's or 
rokossovskiy's eyes a bit, whisper a few sweet words, and have them stomp off in to town?

I had fun making Alex in to a Villain obsessed with weaponized toys and non-lethal demolition.
I'm thinking Ian has the perfect personality to be a villain as well. He's vain, greedy, jealous, and enjoys having others do his dirty work for him. I'm thinking he'd be similar to Poison Ivy. Putting a little more emphasis on that hypnotism thing hinted to here in his Profile
Why should he get his talons dirty, when he can just stare all deep in to
rogue's or 
rokossovskiy's eyes a bit, whisper a few sweet words, and have them stomp off in to town? (Putting aside they'd have stomped through town anyway.)
Perhaps even the great

Ian's tiny Stud Harem...
Posted 13 years agoAn idea of mine set in my notepad of commission ideas. This one requiring a bit of help in way of "Volunteers".
General idea is Ian being his smug, sexy self. Lounging across a lovelySultan's Carriage* Sedan Chair*. In it lays with him an assortment of once macro or mega-macro studs. Shrunk down to various small sizes and dolled up in appropriate male harem gear.
A couple smaller ones cuddled up with the crow himself, tending his feet, feathers and feeding of the fruits. One or two studs 'allowed' to be the same size as the crow himself. Likely for their eye candy alone, or being abused as a full body pillow of sorts.
And it's already been settled that thiscarriagechair will be carried by 
, being Ian's Number One Bun©. Thus the only member of the harem allowed to keep his macro status. Both for the sake of carrying around the aforementioned CarriageChair, as well as being gigantic, looming eye candy. Clad in delightfully decorative yet completely reveling harem type 'clothing' and at the beck and call of a crow the size of his pinky. The latter of which likely involves him carrying the bird from one state to the other, while being totally indiscriminate over what cities or states his feet land on along the way. :>
ANYWHO, back to the volunteer part. I need big, handsome, macro or mega studs.

Need a Room for AC?
Posted 13 years agoI've got one still. Of the original five that first posted to me about it. Two have backed out, one is confirmed, and one more I'm currently waiting to show online to ask.
So now, is anyone else still in need of a room? I'm at the Westin Convention Center from June 13th to the 18th.
The cost for you is 30$ a night, and these are the rules.
I) I must at least remotely know you, if not have met you before. I will not accept -total- strangers, but feel free to ask anyway.
II) Cleanliness, You will NOT make a mess of my room. Nor will you do anything destructive. You will be held responsible for cleaning up your own messes.
III) Drinks and Drugs. Obviously smoking is prohibited, but I welcome you to bring your own booze. I will not, however, condone binge drinking parties. Sorry.
IV) Furry Contingency. Roommates will bathe acceptably, will abstain from introducing drama to the room, and will not be having wild murrypurry sex. :P

What's your Minecraft server?
Posted 13 years agoTFP has been down for months. Much work as I and others put in to redesigning the map for the original. 1.0 release.. Certain people have still failed to do what's needed to open it.
Now the excuse is we're waiting on 1.2, since it will update/change the biome/chunk/world generator again..
I've been playing for a while in Tiera Foxglove's Greyscale server.. But lately it's been plagued with unbearable lag. And most days I'm the only one in there.
Anyone have a good server?
I'm looking for one with regular players. Good mods, and at least one or two anti-griefing and anti-theft tools. World Guard, Lockette, LWC.
I'm pretty good at redstone wizarding, and a good builder as well. (IE: Pretty/Stylish things, not cobblestone towers). If I like/stay with your server, I'll build ya somethin' good! :>

Now I'll see if I can gather any potential Roommates. Here's the catch(s).
I) I must at least remotely know you, if not have met you before. I will not accept -total- strangers, but feel free to ask anyway.
II) Roommates naturally will have to pay a share for the days they stay with me. However. I will be shouldering -more- then an even share. This means I intend to take more of the payment, meaning the roommate's share will be less.
