Took me long enough but a couple weeks ago I finally sold my car that had been wrecked during a GrubHub delivery the day after RMFC. I hope to use the $100 I got for it toward another car ASAP, so I'm trying to get on board with Uber.

For a little over a month I was a Halloween seasonal associate at Disguises, a local costume store. It was fun, just minimum wage and a LOT of work. :P

I was kicked out of my old place in Golden and moved in with another fur friend across town. He's a super nice guy and I can't thank him enough for helping me get back on my feet. This week I started training as a ramp agent for Frontier Airlines, which I'll stay on with if Uber doesn't work out.

Finally I'm turning 28 in a couple weeks and with all that's been going wrong in my life I'll be glad to have another birthday. ^.=.^

Life's been beating me up a lot lately. I wasn't feeling much better with one of my meds so my NP increased the dosage and changed the formulation; I went from 75mg to 150 for a week, then to 300mg and I started feeling horrible! I was anxious and tense, always on edge. Losing sleep, not eating well, lots of trouble keeping food down, dry heaving in the morning. Basically how I was feeling in the couple months leading up to my mental breakdown almost 3 years ago.

That happened to coincide with both my brother's wedding last week AND Rocky Mountain Fur Con. Both were really fun, it was just a crazy busy weekend and I was a hot mess. Getting a text from my boss on the wedding day telling me I had to go in Sunday night made things worse, but I pushed through, went to bed around 3am, and had a refreshing sleep.

Then on Monday night I was delivering an order for my job. I made a U-turn when out of nowhere a guy in a pickup truck hit me, sending me spinning into a tree, likely totaling my car but also damaging my laptop and my ukulele which were in the trunk in kind of a pile of other stuff. Insurance is all complicated because I don't have a commercial policy so I'm not covered, and the other guy is listed as an excluded driver on his dad's policy so I'll basically have to go to small claims court to try to get anything. I also have court in about a month for the unsafe U-turn I made which would put 3 points on my license.

As if that weren't bad enough, I'm being kicked out of the apartment. I didn't really have any money saved up to move because of juggling multiple jobs, but the plan was to have a few hundred dollars by the end of the month from doing 40+ hours a week GrubHubbing. And maybe pick up a scarf commission or 2 or 3...

But the accident changed everything. I have to wait for the claim to settle so I can salvage my car and use the money for... I guess first 1 or 2 months' rent on a new place? Since shelter is more important than wheels. Moving in with a family member isn't looking good, though, and so far neither is finding a local friend who will take me in given my updated situation. There is one option from a new friend but it's dicey.

I can't remember the last mass killing that made me cry. Maybe Aurora, cuz I was living in Utah when it happened and only cried once I went to the memorial.

They're all the same. We get sad, change our profile pictures for a while, and argue about guns and stuff til it blows over. Then another one happens and here we go again.

I don't know what to do. I've never known. And each mass killing just hurts my hope that this will ever stop. Sometimes I think I should buy a gun just in case, but I have a few medical conditions that arguably should prevent me from being able to properly use one.

I don't know. I just don't know. Just make it stop.

I follow a lot of artists who do YCHs and/or growth drives. I'd love to raise a bunch of money like that, except I can't draw.

But I can loom knit.

So maybe I could do a scarf growth drive. Like $1 per row. Or per inch? IDK.

Although I really like knitting, it's made me neglect some of my other hobbies and interests, like my music making and some video projects that I've wanted to do for a long time. Last night/this morning I came home from a friend's NYE party to find that I'd left my keys in my room. No one was home, we don't have a spare, and my phone was quickly dying. I texted Foxy about that then decided to go to the grocery store just up the street since it's open 24 hours.

After wandering around, spending a little time in the bathroom just to avoid people and have a room to myself, I used the courtesy phone to leave Foxy a voicemail. I then grabbed a Guinness Book of Records and sat down in one of the comfy chairs at the in-store Starbucks.

Then, just before 3am, I heard a familiar voice. It was Foxy! He was on his lunch break from work up at the store in Evergreen, so he whisked me home and I was able to sleep.

If that's how I started 2016, then this year can only get better! Happy New Year, everyone, and I hope for newness and growth for you.
