A Happy New Year and looking ahead
Posted 2 years agoHey all; it's just about 2024 as of posting this journal, and looking back on this year, I've certainly had some things to look back on and reflect about.
I'm not too big on going into personal introspection outside close friends, so I'm not gonna be posting a ton about that here. I WILL say, however, that 2023 has had a lot of good happenings. I got to see a friend in January and take a trip that had been delayed for a few years thanks to Covid, and then in May I finally got the chance to attend my first ever furry convention! The latter in particular was quite the eye opener for me, and while I can't say for sure I'll be going to other cons in the future, I can safely say that it was great to get to meet so many other furries out there with my interests and hang out!
Though with that out of the way, I will freely admit that this year was not great for me in terms of content; I didn't get a lot of writing done this year, thanks in part to both stress from work and a nasty bout of writers block that I am (hopefully) starting to overcome. While I don't know for sure when I'm going to try and open up commissions again, I do WANT to try and do so in the future. Not only that, but I hope to start putting out more original content of my own, and hopefully some of you folks out there will find that enjoyable if I can manage it. Much as I love a lot of the ideas folks think up for me to make, I wanna start getting out some of my personal ideas if I can help it.
With all that in mind, I actually do have a resolution I want to try and stick too this year; post at least one story every month, be it commissions or works I come up with on my own. With a little luck I'll be able to have a better year in terms of getting out more stories to you guys!

Posted 2 years agoYeah it's my birthday today, and my 20's are finally starting to wrap up it seems (a big old boo to that XD). After everything's said and done, I'm happy for the folls I've met and the family I have. And of course I'm greatful to everyone on here who reads and enjoys the stories I write. This time around I'll be taking on three in one go, so if you have any ideas you'd like to see made, fill out the form linked below! I'll be deciding on which stories I'm doing by Sunday night if I get enough submissions, meaning you'll have a few days submit your requests.
Just a few brief reminders:
1. Commissions are form-based; you send me your idea(s) in the form linked below, and in a few days I'll pick two of the ideas I like most to take on. At that point I'll also get into contact with the chosen commissioners.
2. Remember to read my Commission Info tab for a list of what I will and won't include in a story. It's okay to ask for stuff I don't normally do, just make sure I'll be willing to do it!
3. Please remember, I charge for a minimum amount of 2k words, with the price going up every additional 1k and with a cap of 6k.

So as of today, I'm going to be opening up TWO slots to start easing back into things.

It's happening! Heading to my first fur con!
Posted 2 years agoWell, with all the necessary stuff booked and in place, I can officially announce it; I'm off to my first furry con in May! I'll be at FWA in Atlanta from May 11th-14th, staying with a good friend of mine whole there! Looking forward to finally meeting a few friends IRL and getting to see others after so long apart, as well as finally getting a taste of the con scene!

300 followers?! Sweet, time for a Raffle!
Posted 3 years agoHey hey everyone! Hope everyone's been doing well a month into the new year. I've been back home for a good week since my vacation, and a rather abrupt (but still positive) work transition kept me busy for much of that time. However, now that things IRL are finally sorted, I can finally move forward and announce I that I have indeed hit 300 followers!
And honesty? I never really expected that I would have so many people interested in seeing what sort of stories I can work up. Thanks to all of you who have stuck around and joined in recently; here's hoping that this year will be more productive than the last in terms of getting more stories out to all of you!
Starting that off though, is going to be the usual tradition of a raffle to celebrate hitting another milestone! To enter, all you have to do is post a comment on this journal saying you'd like to do so! A winner will be picked on Monday evening, and said winner will receive a free short story (approx 2k words) of their choice, so long as it keeps in line with the approved topics found in my Commission Info tab. So feel free to drop a response this weekend and see what your chances are! And again a HUGE thanks to everyone who's remained interested even after all this time, you guys are just plain awesome!

A Belated New Year and [Finally] an Update
Posted 3 years agoI hope that 2023 is treating people well so far!
Been a long while since I updated my journal, so it's about time I finally did so and give a bit of an update on life.
To put it simply, my life got very, vey busy after October ended, and ever since then I've been having trouble getting back into writing proper again. This was NOT helped by the fact that the first week of 2023 is arguably the worst week I have had in years, with a mixture of personal illness and family emergencies including one hospitalization and one death culminating into some very stressful last few days. ><
However, all that stress has started to give way at long last, and with the holiday season finally coming to an end while things are finally starting to calm down at home, I'm going to do what I can to try and go into the new year with more focus on creative work.
I've been trying to write for myself mostly, but until very recently the spark to get back to putting things to the page has been eluding me. But I've finally managed to start easing back into the writing process and working up some new ideas to try. There won't be anything big happening in January mind you, since I am planning to take a VERY MUCH NEEDED VACATION in a little under two weeks. However, once I get back and have finally gotten some proper R&R, I'm gonna begin working on gathering together some potential ideas for writing projects. I'm not going to promise anything just yet, but by the end of this month/start of next month I'm hoping to have a few things lined up for me to try my hand at!
And lastly; I DO plan to finally reopen for commissions at some point before the end of February as I work myself back into writing full stories. I'm not sure how many slots I'll open or what the max word limit will be yet, but I am going to do my best to try and get myself ready to take on more fics. I love so many of the ideas I've gotten before in the past, and I'm hoping to bring many more to life in the coming year!
So again, I hope that all of you are having a good start to the year, and that you can make it a good one! Goodness knows I'm going to try my best there.

Tickletober starts tomorrow
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who submitted their characters for my Tickletober writing work! I'm pleased to say that as of just a few days ago, I have officially finished ALL 31 PROMPTS! which means that starting tomorrow, you lovely folks will be getting one short story from me every day for the whole month of October! While they will not be uploaded at the same time every day, I will be doing my best to make sure I get each day's prompt uploaded, though there MAY be a small gap in uploads due to my moving later in the month. Still, hopefully that won't have to be the case!

However, now that the seasons are finally starting to shift, I figured it's about time I finally try to pull myself together and get back to working on my writing again. And what better way to start shaking off the cobwebs than with a classic prompt challenge.
As a few of you might know, Tickletober is on the way; a fun little challenge for tickle artists/writers through October to get creative with a prompt for every day of October. Well, it's about the time to start getting ready for it, and I've already found a great prompt list for me to work off of. But of course I'm going to need subjects for 31 different prompts!
That's where you lovely followers come in.
If you're interested, you can use the form at the bottom of this journal to sign any of your OCs up to be featured in the coming series. Just a few things to keep in mind...
1. It's totally FREE to sign up.
2. You'll get a 500 word minimum (And chances are it WILL be longer) fic featuring your character.
3. Yes, you CAN enter more than one character, up to three in fact. If you do, you could have different characters in different prompts.

It's official! 200 Followers Raffle!
Posted 3 years agoWell, didn't take long after my last journal to hit this milestone! a whole two hundred followers... It's kinda hard to imagine, but I'm just glad that so many people are interested in the stories I have to offer! As such, it's time to give you all the chance to get a short story of your own with a raffle to celebrate the occasion!
The rules are pretty simple:
1. You have to be following me BEFORE THIS JOURNAL WAS POSTED. No following just for the chance at a freebie.

Updates: Life, Commissions, and Coming Gift Raffle
Posted 3 years agoSo, as of yesterday, I am no longer employed at my current work. I won't go into a lot of details here, but it can best be summed as the usual big retail corporation BS that plagues a lot of the US these days. And it all piled on so fast in such a way that I practically had a breakdown, resulting in my walking off for the sake of my own sanity. However, the good news is that I have already have a new job lined up that I'll be starting in about two weeks' time, one where I'll actually be working from home! It's a large relief for me since I relied on public transit for so many years, and this'll allow me to stay put and give me a bit more time to actually focus on my writing and trying to bring more content in the coming months. It also finally just gets me away from retail work in general, which I think is just something I REALLY need right now for my own mental health.
On that note; while I do have the funds to go on until I get my first paycheck from my new job, I AM going to want to try and pull in a few extra funds. While I am currently still working on a commission, this new amount of free time is going to (hopefully) help me get that finished soon enough. As such, I'm aiming to open up commissions this Monday! Since the form system worked well last time, I'll be relying on that once again. However, I need to emphasize that there WILL be new, higher rates for my stories; this was something I had planned for a while and at this point, it's all the better I get the new prices up and going. Essentially, It's going to be a base fee of $40 for the first 2K words, and every following 1K words will be $15. Also, from now on my stories will have a cap of 6K words. I'll most definitely have three slots opening up on Monday, but if things can work out properly I MAY accept a fourth one.
However, if you're looking for a story but may not have the funds to pay for one right now? Don't worry, because you'll get a chance at a freebie because I'm currently just one follower away from hitting 200! Which, honestly? I'm kinda surprised I'll be hitting so many. I started this for fun and to meet like-minded furs, so it feels crazy to know so many folks are interested in what I have to offer and are even willing to pay for it! But, I digress; just like when I hit 100 followers, once I actually hit 200 followers I'm gonna be celebrating by giving away a free 2K word story for a lucky follower! I'll be making a new journal entry for when that happens so people can enter, so if you're interested be sure to keep an eye out for it!

Thanks to everyone who submitted request forms; the process was definitely a lot easier on me since I was able to actually browse through the ideas and come to my own decisions in the end. I'll be getting in contact with the chosen users soon to start discussing details about payment and potential waiting time. Payment, as always, will only be due when I've worked up a short preview draft that has commissioner approval. All payments are done through PayPal only.
However, this isn't the only project I'll be working on! I'm also going to be contributing to a project that Caroo is currently working on, providing some accompanying story for it. This is coming soon so may take priority, but it should be done by late next week, and I'll be getting started on the first story before that point.
I've definitely got a bit of a full plate coming up, but rest assured I'm more than ready to deliver on everything. ^^

Opening Commissions! Read for new information, please.
Posted 4 years agoHey there folks. So, now that things are finally a bit settled down for me, I decided that this is a good time to finally go on and open up for my first batch of comms for the new year.
As usual, I've got three spots open for grabs... But things are gonna be a bit different this time around. Since I've seen several others, including a few friends, changing over to a form submission system, I figured it may be a good idea to do the same. This way I'm not going off first come, first served and denying folks a chance at getting accepted, especially since I advertise over multiple platforms. Plus, this'll help me sort through ideas if I end up with more than three and come to a decision on which are my top choices.

Posted 4 years agoHeya folks! After a week away on vacation to finally get some relaxation after a wild year, I'm back home and finally gonna start up writing once more! Tonight's just gonna be me figuring out something to write and getting it down, if only to get back in the swing of things.
