I found my project!
Posted 10 years ago1987 Chevy Camaro! 2.8L V6! Any suggestions?
Project time is upon me...
Posted 11 years agoWell, I found this and hope I can complete it before next spring. http://eauclaire.craigslist.org/cto.....819321492.html
From the looks of it; it's pretty solid. Not going to go all out; just enough to keep it on the road.

Happy holidays!

Hi! from a free desk on a Linux PC.
Posted 11 years agoI figured it was about time I update you all on where the shell I've been the past 2-3 years. For the most part; a mess. Emotionally, I shut myself off to everything around me. And that leads into phase two. The depression. Or in my case; just chugging through life, going through the daily grind. It's taken me quite some time to come around the darkened corner and see what lies ahead. Not surprisingly; a slightly drab but possible better future. Kid of like the art deco MCD's that are popular up here. But there are side roads and back alleys whence I will travel once more with my friends to help me out along the way. (Family kinda moved on with out me.)
For those keeping track of my garage; I've reduced from Ford to Yamaha. A 1974 TX750A. It runs. It's operable. Just have to get the tank back on and the ignition switched out (No keys). Keeping my eyes peeled for an old truck; as those seem to be more frequent up here rather than anything else. Chevy, Ford, Dodge, IH? Any particular years you think I'd look good in?
Have a housemate now. A pain in the rear, but a good pain.

Posted 13 years agoNot much going on this year. Not as much as I had hoped. Still moving forward; the slow, dragging affair that it is. Things are looking up as I head to the novel age of 30. College is calling me back; Automotive Tech and Painting. Be nice to go to work with a smile instead of a glower.
Spread the word!

Posted 13 years agoOk dig this: A guy that taught Machining for 40 years built this:
A 44cc (2.5cui) V8 5 inches long. And I thought I had time on my hands.

Posted 13 years agoIt's been a rough year. I haven't posted as much as I'd like to. I even said I'd hit a few more car shows, but it never happened. We finally cleared out all of my Dad's stuff and you know what? It hasn't helped clear out the ache. It went slightly worse than I expected, only got 14K instead of the 20K I'd hoped for. I knew we weren't going to get much. I'm not pessimistic, honestly. I just see the world for what it is.
If I can clear off my Student loans; I'm going back to school, so I don't make windows at 10.50/hr anymore. I'm tired all the time. I can never afford what I need. Not WANT, need. Like food, fuel for the truck, health insurance.

Apologies for the lack of posting
Posted 14 years agoIt's been a rough year for me. Not much posted or taken. And not since July 28; have I done any better. Played Space Cadet for 3 months and still do. Just can't seem to focus. I'm sorry to all of you. I just, miss my Dad.
Gonna restore the 66 Bonneville convertible that he'd owned since 1972. Starlight black, with black interior. If you wanna throw ideas my way, go ahead.
If I post any more pics, it'll probably be over on the Deviant Art account.

More odd stuff... from WI?
Posted 15 years agoOkay. I have a confession. I love glass bottled soda. It taste way better than the plastic bottles. But, as i found out, not many are made... or so I thought.
Then, I found this: http://www.glassbottlesoda.org/index.shtml
Booyah!!! I can order it FROM the Bottler directly. And yes these are the old style bottles.
