After months of time and dedication, the 1st Act Werewolves are out! You can check them out in second life at my Gym there. BUT a faster way to go and get them would be to use X-Street SL , that way you can also quickly get landmarks to all 3 stores where the werewolves are sold at!

Pants .... My Old Nemesis
Posted 15 years agoI'm sure many artists have their personal gripes and grievances. Be it a funny camera angle, a twitch of lighting, or trying to draw some of the absolutely bizarre things people request for commissions.
Well , for me ... it's Pants.
Now, I've never ONCE had a problem DRAWING pants , nope , that was easy. However, texturing pants for sculpted muscles on SL ? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BOY thats a new sensation.
It's not that its' really DIFFICULT , but if you're a stickler for details and a perfectionist like I am? Well ... my studio looks like the Levis 501 Morgue. I've literally got scissors, denim, and the corpses of pants literring my studio. Partially for study purposes. I mean, how else are you going to learn how to texture a pair of jeans that've been muscle growth'd out of if you dont bust a few seams yourself?
It's the stitches, man. It's the fucking stitches. I spent frigging 12 hours yesterday JUST on pants. I mean, it's hilarious when you think about it. These are going to be the most detailed pair of muscle growth'd out of ripped jeans on SL.
But it's also the ONLY pair of them on SL. So it's gotta be the best by DEFAULT. But i want it to be the best even if other people TRY .X_X
On a side note, Developing the vendor for the Werewolf was insanely fun. It's got this whole "Decrepit TV store" Thing going on. Kinda making it out like a little story behind the avatars, if folks can figure it out.
Ah well. Hopefully this pooch will be coming out soon. The goal is to get it out before the 27th. And looking at how we're hauling ass? We're gonna be perfectly on goal.

Learn How to Name Your Fucking Characters

Fun fact, I haven't written one of these stupid fucking things in so damn long that I forgot where to find the tab to actually write the mother humpin' thing.
This isn't so much a journal, as it is an accusatory plea for all those artists who think they're being clever, charming, or cute , when they give their character an contextually appropriate name. It's not cute. It's not witty. It's not funny. It's not even in the same zip code as funny.
Let's go over some examples. If i do actually use the name of your character by accident, then i think it's a pretty good sign that you should review your personal situation, cuz it'd probably mean this journal is aimed your way. There are only so many ways you can toss stupidity like this into a category, but i'll do my best for those of us who actualy try not to smash their skulls against a wall on a daily basis.
Naming Based on Species
This is my murry-purry fox character, named Foxy
This is my super cool bird guy with a yellow beak, his name is Falconius
I made a super muscular cow guy named Hamburger!
Why this is stupid.
From the situation of a parent, that's be like having a black child, and calling him Nigga Jones. If the stupidity about that doesn't offend you enough, heres another example of why it's stupid. Imagine having a Mexican kid ... but instead of giving him a name, you just call him "Lazy" Mission accomplished, you've ruined your child's life.
Naming Based on an Aesthetic point
This one is especially stupid, but can take many forms. This one is also seen constantly in more mainstream media, like ... superheroes. For a superhero? It works. For an average joe schmoe? it's a face palm.
* This hot wolf dude has an openly exposed chipped tooth. His name is Fang!
* I named my spitting raptor guy JurrasSICK because he ... spits ... on people
* I named this blue cat guy blueberry :D
* I named this brown fox chick Caramel :D
* I named this Green Skunk guy Watermelon :D
* I just shot myself in the skull with a magnum :D
Naming Based on Profession or Repeated Action
* I named my bounty hunter dragon character Hunter!
* A professional lock picking cat burglar named Pickz!
* World Famous Corporate Mogul named Donald Trump! .... Huh ... ?
* A home cook with a taste for sweets named Pie (Or any sort of food)
The WORST situation possible, is when these bullshit characteristics are mixed together to form some of the most horrible, trite, lame, or ridiculous names in creative media. Some may recognize a few of these names. If this offends you, allow me to you remind you that this is the internet, and nobody gives a shit what you think, outside of the 10 minutes they'll spend insulting you for your opinion.
Horrible Compound Names
Naming your bodybuilder chef character Beef Stroganoff (Triple threat here, with only two words. Yeowch)
Naming your strong man grocery store bagger Buff Bagwell
Football playing wolf? Why not call him Wolf Blitzer
A sea dragon named Dragontyde? Yes. It counts. Cheating by switching an I for a Y is just as horrible as using the word normally.
Now I'm SURE there are some enlightened people out there who are going to toss a comment of "OH YUR? WHY R U CALLED ICEWOLF THEN LOLOLOL"
Check this logic out.
1. Ice has nothing to do with my character. It's there for no reason.
2. Yes, he is a wolf. BUT 3, supports this reasoning.
3. My character is , by no better way of describing it, incredibly mentally retarded. So him giving himself the most painfully stupid compound name made total sense.
Well, hopefully i was able to give everyone who read this a laugh. OR by some proxy, pissed someone off to the point where they're swearing. Either way, at least you got something out of it.

Birthday Checkup - I'm Alive

I've been working my ass to the bone creating an FFRP sim adjacent to Midgar called Junon. For those of you who aren't total geeks , or ever played the game, Junon is the military city from Final Fantasy 7 , it's got a gigantic canon on it. It's a city with a giant hardon , 24/7. My kinda city.
I've been working with some other very talented builders on Second Life building it, and I'm really excited for it to open.
I've also been trying to draw and not been doing too hot in those areas. I have however, been building a lot, and once Junon is finished I'll have a very large product release including a new body type, sculpted muscles, and clothes out the wazzo with sculpts from my best friend and collaborative cohort Murgatroyd.
So yeah, theres my lame excuse for like .... half a year of not posting anything.

Some of you know others don't but needless to say, my drawing hand has been fucked for a good long time. It hurts way too much to try to grip a pencil, and my grip isn't exactly fantastic at that.
Does anyone know of some hand excesses to try and loosen up the hand any so that this could get less painful?

And I'm below the C listers that do nothing but trades every 3 seconds and Oc sessions every 5.

I re-aquired animal crossing wild world recently. I spent like....about 14 hours starting over and over and over trying to get a specific animal in my town. Soooo i finally said t'hell with it once i got a town layout i liked.
I was curious, does anyone know of a way to hack the game so that you can set specific residents you want to have in the town?

Tennis Elbow on Roids

Typing is kinda hard at this point, so i'll keep it brief. Anyways, i was movin' TV's with my dad a few days ago, and he fell up the stairs. So i tried to stop ye olde TV from falling on him by stiffening my arm...Yeah...i'm an idiot. So the day goes fine, next day my elbow wont stop hurting. Hell i couldnt even bend it to a 90 degree angle.
Aparrently i got tennis elbow or something, cuz it did'nt hurt the day it got fucked up. Anyhoozle, it was getting better, up until last night when i was sleeping. I must sleep like a fucking beast, cuz i dun fucked my elbow up right proper again. Can't even straighten or bend it much. And the things all swolen up too.
So yeah, I doooon't know what the hell is going to happen at this point. Anyone know how to fix this?

Dish Washers

Okay, so Azzy has a dish washer. Now, i've never seen or used one once in my freaking life, and i hear how they leave spots and dont fully clean crap. So when i do the dishes i make sure to clean a dish for the most part before putting it in.
Azzy on the other hand leaves all this happy shit gacked all over the plates and just pitches em' in and is done with it. So i was like "That'll never get clean" so dishes come time to being done, and i check it out, and lo and behold, they're clean.
I'm now convinced that there is a small illegal immigrant that hides in the back of that dish washer and starts working on there once you close it, theres no other way that shit could get so fucking clean. That would ALSO explain all the lound banging, and what sounds like profanity in some odd language coming from the kitchen while it cleans.
I'm ON TO YOU little asian man. From now on, i'm putting your ass to work.
