Tentacles?
Posted 11 years agoMore like spentacles, amirite? Or used in lieu of contraception, they'd be preventacles! Just as long as they aren't non-consentacles. Throw on a monocle, and you'd have yourself a refined set of gentacles. If you're only borrowing them, I guess they'd be rentacles.
Bassturbation
Posted 11 years agoHAVEN'T UPLOADED ANYTHING IN A WHILE, MIGHT AS WELL USE THIS PLACE TO ANONYMOUSLY UPLOAD MUSIC SNIPPETS THAT I MAKE. I'M SURE THEY'LL STAND SOME PUBLIC RIDICULE. BUILDS CHARACTER. WOO. ...CAPSLOCK. ...ROAD HOUSE.
Fur and Loathing
Posted 12 years agoSo yeah, I totally just paid an artist for art for the first time. And it's porn. Delicious butt porn. GUESS NOW I'M BOTH MURRY AND PURRY
Stepping Stones for Babies
Posted 12 years agoHey, so, like, I just realized my pageview count is over 500, which is nifty, in a really little way. My personal life has been all over the place lately, resulting in a lot of unfinished business in the creative-mind department. Maybe when I actually finish something, I can upload more content! Then again, I won't make and upload porn just for pageviews.
I've actually been working on music. I have no understanding of music theory in any academic sense, so I'm taking time to really learn about everything. It's one thing to be able to differentiate good music from bad, but I'd like to know why something sounds good. It'd be fun to make some kind of song or sample and upload it here; I'm using a mixture of recorded instruments I actually play and some synthetic stuff, too.

Freebasing the Pipeline
Posted 12 years agoSo yeah I have a bunch of little projects all in preliminary stages, content that can be uploaded here. I'm finishing an outline to a short story, I've been fuckin' around with another short animation piece, and I've been sketching more often.
Art is fun, but life's draggin' on right now, and I've been occupying my brain with Borderlands 2 and Dark Souls, two big, meaty titles.

Be Like Gingerbread
Posted 12 years agoI've been noticing more and more people making characters, commissioning art... in some cases, very extreme or bizarre art! But, then, on the character-owner's profile, they say "do NOT use this character in art without permission!" To that I say, "OR WHAT?!~"
I really want to find all the characters that are "not allowed" to be drawn, especially in smut, and draw them all in a sick blood-orgy or something.

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy...
Posted 13 years ago...but seriously, raise your standards, you're sub-par and posting to a furry art site doesn't mean you should let your quality go lax.
I'm by no means a major contributor of content to this site - but when I see an author upload an erotic story, and the title-image, the title of the submission, and the title of the work are all spelled differently, THERE IS A PROBLEM. I'd understand if a non-English-speaking artist didn't have perfect prose. However, this is an author submitting a story. Their medium is written word; they have no excuse to mis-spell the title of their work.
And don't apologize for anything on your own submission! I hate seeing somebody submit content to FurAffinity, only to apologize in the description for any lack of quality. You're choosing to upload something, don't say "sorry this isn't good, but you can look at it anyway". We are all at different levels of ability in different creative modes. Sure, some submissions lack enough quality to be absolutely laughable, but at least they're not apologizing for submitting it.

Sewiously, You Guys
Posted 13 years agoWhat the fuck is up with artists drawing up random character doodles and then selling the 'character' for a few bucks? I get that it's nice to have an outlet to support artists that you like. It's better than just clicking a Paypal or something... But c'mon guys. C'mon.
Half the time, with these character auctions, I'll see the same goddamn character drawn/colored slightly differently, and posted anywhere from three to fifteen - yes, I've seen fifteen! - times on one page. Then people just go "ooh, I like those colors!" or "ooh, I wish I could make such creative characters!" But... like... c'mon.
C'mooon. It's... It's dumb. C'mon guys.
Having your own 'murrpurrsona' is one thing; I get it. It's your avatar. Your extension into the fantasy realm. But when you collect characters at a few bucks a piece (sometimes, $15+?) and just have a profile to show off the money you spent... it's like... fuck.

Pandamonium Needn't Introduction
Posted 13 years agoOkay, maybe this is more of a soft whimper than pandemonium, but I'm finally getting my account here all set up. Before I start using my main profile's info section for periodic updates I might as well pop up a little journal. First I have to say, I can't be grateful enough that
dragonpunk made my icon. It looks fantastic, and being able to watch it being made lets me appreciate a lot of the nuances of an image that I think I sometimes take for granted.
As far as content submission to my FA account here? Well, I'm definitely a perfectionist sometimes, but I'm also very busy. I have a lot of content 'cooking' - I have three different short stories outlined, some sketches I'd like to take digital, one or two short flash animations / .gifs that I'd like to make... Everything is touch-and-go, so at this time I can't say "yeah, I'm definitely working on X or Y" since they are all progressing slowly and cumulatively.
Of course, this is without even considering that I spend time socializing a few days/nights a week, and I still have my video games. I'm going to boot up Super Metroid for the first time in my life soon, I haven't touched Skyrim since last November, and Diablo 3 is consuming my soul. Plus my more professional pursuits.
Moving away from excuses to be lazy, I have to say - I am really starting to enjoy doing streaming, of art and of games; I'm going to try to tighten it all up so it's a really pleasant experience for everyone involved. I just have to keep in mind I can't do everything at once. A live stream isn't the same as a game review, or a Let's Play. It's live and unfiltered, versus scripted, but that's just my perfectionism kicking in again. In the near future, I want to finish Lone Survivor. I have my eye on a few other games - Yume Nikki and/or .Flow are near the top of the list... of course there's still Justine, from Amnesia, and Portal 2. Diablo 3 could easily work into stream time, and I'd love to record the entirety of beating I Wanna Be The Guy on at least Hard; screenshots of high scores just aren't the same!
Well, like holding a paper airplane in the wind, it feels like this little profile of mine could very well take off! ...It could also just fall nose-first to the ground. But that's why the future is so fun!
