I like it that much that I would like to buy it. Everything feels so smooth and nice when I sketch and it all just looks so much better, which means I can make better quality stuff!

I think that I'll be ready to reopen commissions soon, especially with the inclusion of using new art software that I find a little easier to use, I'm confident that I can do even better than I did before. This will also include new YCH ideas as well so you YCH goers won't go without. I hope that my efforts will be more than enough to make you guys happy. I consider you all my friends after all!

Posted 6 years agoHiya guys! I hope everyone's been doing well! I haven't been on FA for quite some time, only to poke my head on maybe once every week or two, mostly because I was on hiatus to work on my artstyle and life. Things have been going rather well and I feel like I'm really improving! Lots of exciting things have popped up while I've been quiet, ESPECIALLY with the reveal of Pokemon Sword and Shield (I'm getting Shield), I've just taken the time to work on myself and to try and be a better me and a better artist.
The recent thing I posted, being the updated ref sheet, the new look and a more matured style was one of the big reasons I went on hiatus. You see, on the 26th of this month, I would've been on FA for 8 years now. Sure that might not be as staggering as some of the other veterans out there, but it's still pretty bug. I've had the same design for all that time and as time goes on, people age. They get older, they mature, they live. So, why shouldn't the character? I've been learning and getting advice from my teacher (you know who you are, senpai doom bird) especially with muscles and anatomy, looking up very helpful refs and tips on pinterest and even practicing on myself. I want to get better, for both me and you!

As stated before, I have closed commissions until further notice to work on myself and learn more art techniques. My little art hiatus so to speak. I'll post personal pieces here and there but 2019 will be the year for great change!

Posted 7 years agoSo we got back yesterday afternoon and the beach was lovely! Virginia was pretty too. We went walking up and down the shore, the boardwalk, Atlantic avenue and we even went to an arcade, a Japanese buffet and an aquarium! It was awesome. You guys all saw that little doodle I did in the sand. <3 It was just a good experience. And I can't wait to go back. Back to normal now!

Posted 7 years agoThe red draggy has played, beaten and inked all over the amazing and SUPER COLOURFUL game that is Splatoon 2. AS WELL as the Octo Expansion. This game gets a 9.2 out of 10 for me. Why? Let me tell you why. This game is FRESH and has made firsts for me.
Splatoon 2. The game where you're a squid, saving the world from an evil presence who has stolen the Great Zapfish AND the amazingly great Squid Sister Callie. It's your job to go undercover as Agent 4 in the Squidbeak Splatoon and go through countless levels inking, splatting and making your way forwards, using colourful strategy, going to the end and kicking the butts of many many octolings because they're bad guys! ...Well, not all of them but I'll get to that later. You get to travel along side Marie who is sad that her COUSIN (The Squid Sisters are actually Squid Cousins, Squid Sisters is just a stage name) has been kidnapped and she helps guide you along, giving you helpful little tips here and there, even making little puns here and there, she's just a cool gal all together. And she's even dressed up all awesome and oriental like, she's rocking a lime green parasol! You have collectibles to collect in every hub world and level, Sea Scrolls and Sardinium. Sardinium is used along side in game currency to upgrade your ink weapons and unlock new subs! The Sea Scrolls unlock little lore and stories behind the game, although some of them aren't totally informative, it's still sweet to open up your book and read them. Now, as for the Octoling part. ^.=.^
In the Octo Expansion you play the role of Agent 8, who through the power of MUSIC has come to their senses. You play as an Octoling who has lost their memory and you want to get to the surface so, you go along side Capn. Cuttlefish. Eventually you get contact with Pearl and Marina (Marina's also an Octoling!) and they help you along your journey. Now, I know what you're thinkin'. THE OCTO EXPANSION IS HELLA HARD! And you know what I have to say to that? You're right. It's VERY hard and challenging. But it's certainly worth it. If you collect all the memory cakes in a single line, you unlock certain pieces of clothing for your Inkling/Octoling character. I've beaten EVERY SINGLE CHALLENGE except for one. And let's just say... GIRL POWER is not a strong point. Oh goodness. x3 Anyways, back to the normal game, Splatoon 2 has a plethora of AMAZING songs and you can even listen to "Splatune" on one of the machines in the main plaza and play a rhythm game called Squid Beats. This game's got everything if you're a strategic, artistic audiophile!
Next comes the first for me. The Splatoon series is known mostly for its online multiplayer. Actually, I'm pretty sure people actually play that more for the multiplayer. Here's the thing. ...I actually played it. In Splatoon 2, you join a team of 3 other Inklings/Octolings from around the world and do stuff, depending on the mode you play. I played together with 
Chaos7450 in a few matches and oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh I ACTUALLY HAD FUN. You don't actually have to talk to people online, you just... go and do what's the task at hand! I haven't played anything else other than Turf War but I hear Salmon Run is like, super fun. But Turf War is the main mode and it's so much fun. Honestly, Splatoon 2 is the ONLY online thing I feel comfortable playing with other people in real time. Mario Kart 7 and 8 and Super Mario Odyssey are different (I'll get to those later), sure, people have their Fortnite things, some old school peeps still play Team Fortress 2 and then there's that one called League of Legends I think? And I even tried Paladins but I chickened out. I came out of my shell some and Splatoon 2 IS FOR ME. And you know what? It's a lot of fun. I don't like MMOs at all. But... Splatoon 2 doesn't feel like one. And the best part? It's FUN. You don't have to be a competitive blood thirsty idiot to play. I'm not competitive. I like fun over winning. This game encourages fun!
Now, for the pros and cons.
Favourite Weapon: Carbon Roller Deco. Yup, I'm a roller. You're either a stealthy ninja covering everything ink and flinging ink at people or you're a big flop. I'm both. x3
Least Favourite Weapon: This is probably a common thing but, ANY CHARGER. UGH, whether you're in a certain level and you have to use it or you're in a match and someone camps by your spawn point and you have to be said ninja to get outta there, the chargers suck. And they're so slow!
Favourite Area: Area 3 has a lot to offer and is wide and with bounce pads and rails and those hook thingies, it's a challenging yet fun hub to get about in.
Least Favourite Area: Area 5. I got lost SO easily. Yes I understand that it was supposed to be the hardest of the bunch but once I discovered all the levels, I just warped to each of them instead of walking to each of them like I usually did.

Off The Hook isn't just the name of the show at the start of the game, it's also the name of Pearl and Marina's band! Also, just like the Vocaloids, the squids actually have IRL hologram concerts too. Isn't that neat?

Posted 7 years agoHurricane Florence is on its way to those of us in the Carolinas (and Virginia) and you know what? I'm ready. We're prepared and I'm a TEENSY bit nervous but at least we're not on the coast. We're 4 hours or so from the nearest coast. All the beaches have been shut down and people have been evacuated. Some have decided to stay. All my prayers go out to the people who will be affected by this dangerous storm. INCLUDING my hunny drivingyoubatty who according to work, HAS to go to work tonight. >.=.< Good thing the factory warehouse where he works doubles as a shelter. But still. I hope places like Southport and Wilmington are okay. Here's Lexington NC sending love. It's gonna be more than a window shaker. I'm sure we'll be fine, we might lose power for a little bit but that's not big deal. UNLESS IT MESSES WITH THE NINTENDO DIRECT THAT IS. ................Lol x3 But in all seriousness, we're prepared and ready.

Posted 7 years agoI used to write reviews for 3ds titles I played that could be seen on the link on my front page? I don't know why I stopped. I'd like to start doing that again. The fabled Red Draggy Review, or as I liked calling it, the RDR. I might even start doing that with Switch titles too (Since my game collection for that now is coming along lovely with FOUR titles now soon to be five), critiquing the gameplay, story, music, replayability and such. My personal faves, dislikes, pros and cons and showcasing my favourite piece of music from the game as well. I'd like to get back to that! ^.=.^ I think it would be helpful to all of you if you were considering buying a certain game and since the list of my collection of 3DS titles is longer than a college students supply list, I think that would really benefit people if they read my opinion on such treasures. <3
