Currently on Maternity Leave!

Due to some complications, the c-section was moved and our second kiddo was born on Tuesday 19th of august! (instead of the planned september date)
I have been semi absent due to the complications for a few weeks already so now I am fully on maternity leave, recovering from the operation and focusing on this little one!
I'm slow at recovering but I'm also older and the pregnancy was harder on me this time around. BUT! everyone is healthy and doing great :)
II expect to be back to working on those patreon rewards in roughly two months from now. Patreon is in support-only mode until I am caught up with everything.
I have paused work on the custom underwear on my Etsy shop for the next two months, I will return to that as well probably in a couple of months.

I'll be off on holiday for the next two weeks! I have a whole month's worth of patreon reward to post and I'm working on more of them when I return from camping!
Planning maternity leave to start on the first of august, Patreon support tiers will be the only ones active from august until I'm good to take on work again :)

I'm expecting again! Yays!
Due to severe nausea I landed myself in the ER and I'm taking meds fun pills to stop myself from 'rejecting' food and water. This has left me weak and tired, I've slowly gotten back to eating normal food but I'm not 100% yet.
Furnal Equinox is happening this coming week end and I will be at my table or sleeping in my room. No parties for iggly.
Patreon rewards and commissions will resume when I return from the convention. I'm behind on posting some finished art but I've been trying to rest before the con so, posting coming after!
I'll be taking in person sketch commissions all week end, done in a few hours, come and see me! I could really use some support :P

That's my life now!
General | Posted a year agoHey guys, it's been a hot minute since my last update.
I'm in a very weird spot right now where I'm very happy but also very stressed and worried, it's very weird. I'm super happy about our little Bean, our new house, the way we are dealing with parenting as a team and I'm feeling so much love all around!
On the other hand,, maternity leave is ending at the start of May and even with many phone calls and emails and reaching out, it doesn't look like Bean will be entering a daycare this year... Which means I can't get back to work. It's a very hard blow that to our family that I have to be a stay at home mom and we are going to rely on a single income for probably a year if not more. This was never the plan or my wish, I love my baby but I didn't plan for nor did I want to become a stay at home mom. I'm not taking anything away from moms who choose this!
I was actually planning on looking for part-time or full-time art related employment after maternity leave so, this is quite the opposite of what I wanted to happen! I knew the daycare situation was problematic in our province but I never expected it to be this bad considering I'm looking at any type of daycare (private, gov funded and so on).
Where does this leave me? At home lol.
I've got a couple of hours a day when I can draw when the baby naps. I also have other things to do around the house cause I might as well pull my weight if I'm going to not work :/ But this means that commissions are going to be slow...
I'm still going to ask the people on my queue in order if they still want their commission spots when I get to them but boy am I glad I don't take payment upfront!
I don't know when the situation will change, I'm hoping in less than a year, the stress comes from not having any income on my end, not from the baby! He is growing fast and is lovely!

Moved in!
General | Posted 2 years agoWe have finally moved into our new house! There are still things to finish and boxes to unpack but I don't have to travel back and forth all the time anymore :D
The baby bump has been slowing me down during the move so i've been exhausted and I'm hoping to slow down before the baby comes in august. I've been looking forward to being back into my usual routine for drawing and uploads.
I will be at Montreal ComiCon in july! Sharing a table with

Moving Soon!

I haven't been posting alot recently as I've not had much time to draw! We are finally seeing the finish line for the house and we have a moving date :) we will be in our new house on the 14th of june! we will be moving stuff in before then but internet only arrives on that day so we will be in between places.
Work on art will be resuming shortly is what this means :D
I never expected it to take over a year butt we are finally almost there!!! We have so much help from everyone around us, it is amazing. Even the contractors we got were all amazing! I try to help to but I am limited cause of the growing baby bump!
I've been working on patreon rewards and I am not pausing for june since I will have time to catch up before july! I am likely to pause in july or august, depending on what is happening with the iggly-baby, since he is due for august. No time for post-con depression, house building started the day we were on the road home from FE! I've been working on some stuff between going to the lot and for pregnancy follow ups. Pregnancy diabetes was a bit of an unpleasant surprised but it's being managed very well.
I'm so excited for the new house and for this baby bunbun! (omg I miss sushi and tartar so much T.T)

General | Posted 3 years agoAs we wait for our house to be built and ready for us, May seems really far away! We are staying between the in--laws and a friend of ours because of many COVID scares. It's not fun to move places but I also would rather not be sick again...
Having our stuff in two places and just trying to feel 'at home' in other people's home is difficult. Hindsight we would have probably rented a place of our own :P
I'm still catching up with patreon stuff, awaiting samples of the new underwear for my shop, my fursona enamel pins and designing some new products for 2023! I have 3 cons lined up already and hoping to add 1 more if not 2. I've been participating in zines to make new friends and get my name out there.
I guess my original plan to make a portfolio and apply for jobs fell thru. I need time and much more SFW art for that to be a thing. I have barely started on my comic book (sketched some character sheets) and that's probably what annoys me the most. Again tho, this is where my hubby comes to the rescue I guess, he wants a rough comic book for xmas xD not sure how and how long and omg panic lol
2022 was truly not my year when it had barely started and it's keeping this reputation until the last day xD can't wait to make strides towards my goals and not have any more surprises!

Where did I go all summer???

People on my discord were following this as it developed.
I've been busy this summer! Some was planned and some was... erm not planned.
We had been looking for a house for a year when we decided to forget about bidding wars and just have a house built.
We put an offer on a piece of land back in April and it was accepted. In May we put our condo up for sale. Our plan was to have a house built before xmas on that land. The catch? The land was not officially split yet. No big deal, we had time, our builders gave us until mid-august to get permits.
We sell our condo, got a great price thanks to the crazy market. All the dates fall into place, mid-july we will move our PCs and bed to the in-laws to stay with them until the house is done. late july we will move all of our condo stuff into a storage, then I'll go to CanFURence, then on august the first we sign the condo to the new owner and finally we should, by then, be able to apply for the construction permits.
By the end of june, the bank is okay with the land being split (if you have a mortgage on your property and want to split it, you need their permission!) so we rejoiced. I try to book a date to go see the land with the builder, since the land is not ours yet but the seller... says he's put the land back up for sale.
what? we have a signed agreement.
He has a new buyer who will pay more! so he tells us we have to move quick if we want the land. We've been waiting on him since April. We are ready to pay for the land, we just need him to do the splitting work. We have signed paperwork, two realtor, one on his side and one on ours and i got a notary ready to get this done.
This was the first signs of trouble. We had to go drive 4 hours there and back to go speak to him for whatever reasons, the realtor on his side said he's just worried about who are his new neighbors going to be.
thru July we heard almost nothing. Come august, we have confirmation from the government that the lot is ready to be sold. we have a notary date... and he doesn't show. We had to send a formal notice and he got a lawyer to try and bully us into accepting new conditions that were never part of the deal. i argued back and forth with the seller and then his lawyer for most of early august until i couldn't take it anymore. I got a lawyer too.
The seller has just been lying thru his teeth, making up new conditions, trying to bully us and being a psychopath. We were done. We didn't want the land anymore. So last week our lawyer sent a letter explaining that following the multiple missed deadlines we were not bound to the agreement anymore and he can do whatever he wants with the lot. We are not buying it. It also listed the events and the extra costs we are going to incur from all this...
Looking at the costs of all this, it's almost made the house building idea out of reach. I need to work harder or get a stable job to make up for all this. We can't just sue him because that's 10k up front and then he could still refuse to pay. also in quebec you don't get your fees paid for by the loosing side. We have three years to decide to sue and I don't know right now.
We found another piece of land that we are inspecting this week, for around the same price. We can't build before xmas anymore because of the delays. (in canada you can't pour concrete in winter) so our new date for the delivery is may 1st. We are going to stay at the in-laws longer than planned... with our cats, plants and aquariums.
It's been very emotional... we never expected the land acquisition to be problematic, and it was hard to let it go. This new land is perfect too. Very big, in a nice area in the countryside. It took me some times to not be worried that the same thing was going to happen again. Both my husband and I reached our breaking points a couple of times during august. I don't wish this on anyone. I'm also glad we won't have that guy as a neighbour.
So I am now able to get back into working on art and my portfolio. It's been a very busy summer and we are both super tired and in need of a holiday (we didn't take any, just took days off to move)
I don't like falling behind and having people wait. This became so big it caused delays and I thank everyone for their patience.

I have been delayed in my work for the past few months relating to moving and purchasing land. The land purchase has taken a turn and we are potentially going to court over it. We will know more in 10 days as a formal notice was sent off.
It's been extremly distracting to deal with this situation but I hope that I can move past it!

This summer is going to be crazy busy! we are moving to the in-laws mid-july and putting all of our things in storage on my birthday T.T and then we wait for our house to be ready to move in!
I have to move plants, cats and fish... AND I have to prepare for CanFURence at the end of july!

It's great to have good things happening after such a shitty start of 2022!
FE was a great success for me as a dealer and I'm very much looking forward to CanFURence this summer!
We sold our condo and we are having a house built. This is AWESOME but this means we will be moving around every few months this summer. We're planning to live with the in-laws for 3-4 months. We have to pack our things into a storage facility in another city... so much stuff! BUT we are very excited! :)
(I'm not super looking forward to moving my 3 aquariums, specially the 75 gallons one... and omg I have so many plants =,=)
I paused the month of May on patreon to give myself time to catch up after the busy month of march and april!

I am currently in crunch time for Furnal Equinox! I'm very busy with that and so I'm a bit behind on YCH and commissions! I won't invoice anyone until after the convention I think, just to be safe :/ (unless I have time to complete something between patreons and convention prep!)

I am currently in crunch time for Furnal Equinox! I'm very busy with that and so I'm a bit behind on YCH and commissions! I won't invoice anyone until after the convention I think, just to be safe :/ (unless I have time to complete something between patreons and convention prep!)
I'm super excited to be a dealer at Furnal Equinox again! and I have a bunch of new products for it! (some from 2020 lol). I'm also excited to meet the wonderful furs I've met online over the pandemic!

General | Posted 4 years agoI have had the privilege of being convention chair for the first ever Virtual Furnal Equinox! It was scary, stressful, fun, amazing, dizzying and overwhelming.
I have so many people i wanted to thank personally and the week end just flew by me and i was always busy so I apologize if I didn't say hi to some of you. I made such awesome friends from this experience and it's very strange to wake up the monday after and not have to work together?
I still have some things to sort out for the vrchat worlds, the discord and other such things ^^
I am taking it slow this week and getting back into commissions and patreon work! Thanks you so much for your patience, it's been very much appreciated!!!
If you didn't get a chance to join in the con I will be posting here once the footage is available online ^^

General | Posted 5 years agoI want to wish a happy new year to everyone! Thank you for your support throughout the past years and the years before! You guys make my world go round :)
Since the 25th I've been taking some overdue time off, I will resume work on the 4th of Jan!
I will be posting new and revamped ych again in 2021 ^^
and I'm still working on the virtual version of Furnal Equinox for March!
I don't really set resolutions for myself but I do set goals I want to achieve during the year. I've done everything on my 2020 list and more! for 2021 my goals are pretty much a continuation of last year's :P
-work/life balance (I'd like to get more than just sunday off! maybe stop work at 7 pm everyday or something like that)
-saving money
-work on my OCD and anxiety (I've got some new books to read about it)
-loose more weight and continue to work out
-try new techniques with art and push my art further
There are things I want to do that are related to furry art of course :P
-Virtual Furnal Equinox in March!
-Add many new stickers designs to my store
-revamped all the old ych
-new ych
So there's a lot in store for 2021, both on a professional and personal level :)
Hope you guys are looking forward to it!
