+What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
Cuz otters are cool yo. But srsly, I went with otter because otters are my favorite species from my favorite book series, Redwall
+Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Pretty similar I suppose, vague question

Pretty close yeah, I imagine he's a bit more outgoing than me, but yeah
+Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
I'd imagine yeah, haven't really made a strict list of likes/dislikes for him

In some regards yeah, he's tall like I am, gave him long hair like mine, and while I sport a full beard, he's got the goatee to show that (since I think full beard facial hair looks really weird on anthros). He's a bit more in shape than I am haha

Not really, I mean design wise he has the grey fur running along the top of his head and down his back, which you don't really see on most anthro otters cuz it's not a natural fur pattern for them. (I have seen at least one other with something similar tho, so no totally unique) It's actually a design motif taken from a previous fursona(a sarlooswolfhond)

Not a ton, and most of it is really kinda outdated, since I've changed up his look a bit over time, but don't really have any up to date art

If you haven't noticed already, I've been drawing a little bit more recently, trying my best to really do it consistently, something I didn't really do before because I was all like "This is frustrating, I'm not good enough, weh weh" and then I realized Fuck That. Still not producing stuff on an everyday basis sort of thing, but yeah, much more consistent now than I was in the past.
Anyway, the point of this journal is that I'm not gonna post everything I draw on here, just more 'finished' sorta stuff, if you wanna see more of my random everyday doodles, follow my art blog at: http://riverdogproductions.tumblr.com/ where I'll post drawings, along with any creative writing I might end up doing, and music I might produce (I've recently decided to do crappy acoustic covers of songs I like lol). Along with that, I also usually post doodles on twitter Riverdog_

So yeah, ^ that happened. It was kinda unexpected for both of us I'd say, but we just clicked and for a while were both too nervous/awkward to tell the other lol. But yeah, she is absolutely amazing and I'm super happy right now. I've never really been in a serious relationship, long distance or other wise, but I'm gonna try to make sure this works.

Well I was raised Catholic, I've only ever gone to Catholic school. But I was never very enthusiastic about it, I Judy kinda went along with it. As I've gotten older I've analyzed religion more and more and realized how much bullshit it all can be and how much hate, and intolerance can come out of it. So yeah, that and SCIENCE! Lol so yeah, I'm Athiest/Non-Religious.
12. Do you drink?
Not very often, I'll drink socially with friends or family if they're all drinking, but I pretty much never go partying, so that isn't very often lol. So yeah, drinking isn't really my thing, but I'm not opposed to it. I'm also only 19, so that's part of it lol
13. Do you smoke?
I'll smoke a cigarette from time to time. I've smoked cigars with buddies of mine. I'll smoke weed, but I've only ever done it a few times with cousins or friends, I've never gone out and gotten my own cuz 1). I wouldn't know wtf to do 2). No idea where to find a good dealer 3). I'd be too nervous buying lol 4). $$$ though I do have a job now, so that's not much of an issue lol. So basically, I like weed, but don't do it very often
14. What are your fears?
Isk everything? Lol. I'm terrified of pursuing any sort of relationship, I've never been in a relationship, gf, bf, nuthin. I've never even had a real "kiss". For example, right now I know a girl at work likes me, but I can't bring myself to do anything about it, I still talk to her like normal, but I don't address that at all, I'm too nervous. I guess I just can't imagine anybody would want to be with me. Idk. I'm also afraid I'm doomed to a life of drol nothingness, I'm currently not goof to college and I'm at a deadend job, while all of my friends are moving on with their lives, I'm afraid I'll never accomplish anything. On a less baww note: kinda have a fear of heights, and bees/wasps/flying insects cuz allergies are scary lol
15. What are your dreams/goals?
I really want get into animation. I want to direct, and I want to dhow the world that animation can be used for more than just 90 minute family films. It's ambitious, but I want to make an animated film that not only wins Best Animated Feature, but has a legitimate chance/wins Best Picture. I want to create films that can be judged and held up to films of that caliber. Cuz I'm a nerd, I REALLY want to make film adaptations of some of the Redwall books, but bring them to the scale and detail of something like the LoTR movies, I want to keep them very true to the authors original vision, even if it means splitting one book into multiple movies lol. Other dream: I want to make music. I'm a guitarist and I want to play Progressive metal, I want to either write and record a whole album myself, using drum Programming for the drums, or put together a band and tour with and collaborate with some of my favorite artists. I'm not looking for huge, top charting, popularity, but I want to be recognized and appreciated within the prog community lol

Yeah I've had crushes, but like I said above, I've never pursued any of them.

I'm a guitarist and I want to play Progressive metal, I want to either write and record a whole album myself, using drum Programming for the drums, or put together a band and tour with and collaborate with some of my favorite artists. Finally Back on a working computer

So yeah MY laptop has been broken for like forever now, so I have been using my mom's for a while, but hers died about 2 months ago now and we finally got it fixed. Mine is actually getting fixed right now as well. So yeah I'm back lol.
I guess it's life update time? Not much going on with me, lots of work, lots of Skyrim. Got myself a 7-String guitar which I LUV. Also re-reading/re-collecting the Redwall books, I totally regret getting rid of them. I've been think about doing some fanart or something from them, if I actually feel the desire to pick up a pencil again lol, idk we'll see where that goes.
Anyway that's it from me........yup

Well...this sucks
Posted 14 years agoSo yeah, my laptop officially died last night (posting from my phone right now) it seems that the computer itself still works and it's just the screen that's out, so hopefully I'll still be able to get all my pictures, music, etc.
I was planning on getting a new computer soon anyway considering my current one is around 4-5 years old, but I was gonna wait until I had a reliable job, but now it seems I'll be doing that a bit sooner lol. Luckily I just recently graduated from high school, so I've got about $375 of the $500-$600 i'd need.
Anyway, that's it, hopefully this gets resolved soon, and thank god for internet phones lol.

Life Update from the land of Iggy
Posted 14 years agoSo yeah, haven't had a sort of Update Journal for a while, so I figured that now was as good a time as ever.
Anyway, today I took my last exam as a high school student, I am officially done! Graduation is this coming Tuesday and I can't wait. Not so sure about school next year yet, probably just Community College, my grades are terrible because I've had trouble focusing on school, yay depression and anxiety problems! Anyway, I (barely) made it through so now to start the next chapter in my life......and I really don't know what to do lol. Finally got a job, landscaping, which suuuucks, but a job's a job right? Hopefully saving up for a car over the summer.
On another note, I might actually be joining a band now! Found an ad on CL, emailed, and we've been talking out a good time to meet, hopefully it works out. If I can imagine myself doing anything for a living, it's playing music, the only problem with music is that it's all based on luck (or if you're future music majors like a few friends of mine lol) So hopefully my luck can turn around and I can actually do what I want to do with my life, because at the moment, I have no idea.
Speaking of playing music, I played in our school talent show back at the end of April, played in 4 acts! Played guitar and sang (backup lol) with a couple friends on Daughters by John Mayer and an original/improv song similar to what we did last year. Played Drums with another group of friends on a medley of Tonight I'm Loving You, The Anthem, PokerFace, and the Bed Intruder song lol. Finally, I helped lead the senior class in singing Float On by Modest Mouse, our class song. It was a lot of fun.
What's this website for again? Oh yeah, Art! Sorry about the really slow output of art lately, you know that whole depression/anxiety thing I mentioned up there^? Yeah well, I've basically lost all of my motivation to draw, hopefully this summer, with all of the stress of High School out of the way, I can bring myself to actually draw again, and not just crappy recolors of other peoples' linework, but my own work, and maybe I'll actually put that tablet I speant $100 to use lol.
Anyway, that's pretty much it from the life of me, I'm gonna go be miserable now thanks to these damn allergies -_- last few days have been hell!
