Skipping June Comms

I decided I'll be skipping June commissions this year because...honestly, I've been feeling quite drained lately.
Last months comms really knocked the wind out of me, especially since the last comm took until a week into May to be done.
Because of that, I only had the energy left to finish only one personal project, that being the Sirbus revamp. Granted it was a hefty project, with multiple pages, but it was actually about...65-70% complete since the end of March. All that was left to do was the mask ref, shading and bio.
And with that I've only started on doing Rector's revamp next.
That being said, if anybody's got any ideas for potential YCH's, I'm open, since it has been ages since the last one. I have been getting urges to do more Adopts as well, but...we'll have to wait and see.

I really do enjoy making them, don't get me wrong...but most of the time, to me, they're just the same thing; Just a basic picture of a character or two in a simple pose.
Maybe there's a thing or two that helps spice things up but that's it. I feel like doing more that just a static image of a character, something where there's actually stuff going on, a bit of action or a hint of story. Just something to make things more interesting.
Something like those multi-story comms I did for my friend

On that note, I discovered something after I finished the latest batch of commissions.
The last comm I posted, Dynumous, that was the first weapon commission I've done since over a year ago now.
And the last vehicle design commission I did was done back in February 2024.
I'm a huge car guy and I wanna do more car related stuff, and I'm currently working on something car related as I'm typing this.
Again, I do enjoy doing character art, but it just feels like I'm stuck doing the same thing over and over again.
I wanna add more variety to my portfolio. I wanna challenge myself, just...something to get my juices flowing.
I really do enjoy making them, don't get me wrong...but most of the time, to me, they're just the same thing; Just a basic picture of a character or two in a simple pose.

He had written a few stories you'll probably know, like "Cynder's Sexual Conquest" and "Dark Master's Harem", which were based on pics made by different artists, such as

Why I don't do NSFW Commissions
General | Posted a year agoI've been asked numerous times why I don't do *full-on* NSFW Commissions, so I figured I'd give you my answer.
PayPal.
As of now, it is the only thing I use to gain my earnings from commissions. But the thing is, PayPal, for the most part, *detests* NSFW content.

I've heard that if an artist or someone who commissioned them labelled their payment with something NSFW related, then they're more likely to get suspended.
I'm not 100% sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that's what happened with Mastergodai, someone who commed him labelled their payment something NSFW, and his account got suspended.
And that's what scares me, basically one tiny slip up and everything that I've earned is just...*gone*.
I have heard that many other NSFW artists have gotten away with this for years now, but still, that's not enough for me.
Again, all it takes is one tiny slip up and I'll likely lose everything I've worked for.

So you probably noticed that the title says "November + December", which means I will be skipping December Commissions.
October's batch really winded me, and I'm not even finished yet. I'm currently at the sixth comm for the month and only one more to go afterwards.
I have some plans and ideas regarding my Jake Burner sona circling around in my head, as well as some ideas to cap off the "year of the dragon".
Plus, since it's the 40th anniversary of Transformers, I've been having thoughts of redoing my old fan design of Autobot Hot Rod.

Sooo...what now for September? ...I dunno. I mean I'm probably gonna focus more on personal stuff, *maybe* I'll be down for an art trade/collab, whatever if I'm in the right mood, but probably not likely.
I have recently made updates to my brand, so that's a start. Been having plans on making a new mascot design for my "Jake Burner" persona, which I hadn't used in well over 8 years. Might also finish up the roster of weapons for Ignis Draco's arsenal.
We'll just have to wait until how this month unfolds.

But...hey at least I went out to see Deadpool and Wolverine before the cold so that's a win I suppose.

And when I woke up this morning with a message on Discord of one of the guy’s who commissioned me saying he found someone else to do his commission, since I was taking so long, which to be fair is probably for the best since, again, I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out this month.
But then 9 in the morning struck and…nothing. Absolutely NOTHING. No power, no internet, no nothing.
Oh well I still have mobile data right? EXCEPT NO, cuz since this is a whole BLACKOUT, not even the mobile provider works.
So my dad just got home and currently has a generator running so the Wi-fi works, which is how I’m online right now, on my iPad, since the power doesn’t come back on until…*allegedly*, 5:30 PM, which means I had to deal around EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS OF NOTHING, IN WINTER, WITH NO HEATING BY THE WAY.
God really woke up this morning and said, “F**K THIS GUY IN PARTICULAR TODAY.”

2. After doing Malessia, an old OC of mine which I hadn't used in over 5 years, it got me thinking if I should just sell some of my other old OCs which I hadn't used in forever, and probably never will. Aside from *one* which I've been thinking of revamping into a whole new character.

right ear problems
General | Posted 2 years agoWelp. My right ear's practically swollen so I can barely hear out of it, and I already tried ear drops twice already, so I probably have to wait for god knows how long without using earbuds and headphones or just fiddling with it out of habit.
All started when I tried cleaning out my left ear after it felt like it was blocked, and when I pulled out an ear bud, revealing a shit ton of earwax, I could easily hear better out my left ear now, but at the same time, my right ear just went out and it feels swollen.
So that's my weekend summary pretty much.
