I've been very inactive for a while now. Does anyone actually remember me here?

So, I was just in the shower, cleaning myself off and stuff, and as I was scrubbing soap on my legs I noticed how firm they were! Firm in a muscular way, that is. I was like, "Daaaaayum, these drumsticks are LEAN!" Then I felt myself up a bit. I guess riding my bike to and from school every day is really paying off. Riding up the hill to my neighborhood is a cinch, and I'm in the best shape I've been in years! ^3^ Don't let the neighborhood predators hear about this slab of meat over here. ;3

But in all honesty, it's not that great. X3 While I have strong legs, I certainly don't have beefy arms or tight abs to compliment them. It's not like they're that essential, though. My lifestyle doesn't consist of hard manual labor—hence why my mind is easily my strongest muscle—and I can deliver quite a kick to the groin and/or face if I need to defend myself!

College pretty much dominates my life these days. The frisky, young, incredibly horny Dave that you all knew is not lost, however. Not so prominent of late, perhaps, but still there. I am as imaginative as ever! Possibly moreso. I am even working on a new story! I'll put the other ones on the back burner for a while. Save them for when I have a bit more practical experience with novel writing, so that I can portray all the fantastical things I've created with accuracy and intrigue.

This new story... Well, I'm not ready to reveal it in any detail. It's the pioneering of a new science, and the ushering in a new age for man kind. It was also inspired by My Little Pony, the music from the Borrower Arrietty (great movie), and the concept of windows.

I swear, "Lark the Land Shark" sounds like the name of a cartoon hero. Pretty bomb.

I hope you all had a great last day of the year. I didn't. :T Just my luck, too. I ran out of weed yesterday, and my WHOLE FAMILY was GONE.

Why wasn't I out with my family? Weeeellllll...
My parents were busy moving beds and appliances around between the various vacation rentals they own—I helped them for a few hours.
My sister, her husband, and my nephew all went to stay in one of my parents rentals for a free night.
Lastly, I just don't like hanging out with my family that much! As anyone who knew me last year will know.

Whatever. It was still a pretty nice day. I sorted through some porn, looked at funnyjunk.com, walked around town for a bit, played some video games.

It's almost christmas! Whoo! I figured that I'd better write up a christmas journal whilst I was thinking about it, so I didn't forget.

My friends and I (irl friends) have been having a blast. Break started last friday. We've been smoking weed and playing video games and watching movies and stuff. Today was a rather welcome break to the party. I got all my christmas stuff done today. Bought/made the final presents, and wrapped 'em, put 'em under the three. I got mostly simple things for my family this year. Got my dad a new extension cord, my mom a pie scooper. I got my sister a binder for her cheesecake recipes (she runs a cheesecake bakery), and bought a couple cans of Rockstar Energy Drink for my brother-in-law. My sister-in-law is getting some scrapbooking supplies, and my brother is getting some date-loaf candy (<3). Probably the best gift I got for someone else is a Megaman game for the DS. That one's going to my nephew. Even if it's supposedly one of the worst Megaman games, he'll still love it.

I dont' know what I'm getting yet, obviously. I'll let you guys know on Christmas.

I need to start thinking of some new years resolutions. O3o

Some of you who've known me for a while know that Sergals are practically my ultimate sexual fantasy. :P

Some of you guys may be aware of my tiny manipulator character, Kaa Reivenok. I've been thinking about him a lot lately, 'cause he's just so adorable. His personality has been changing a little. He's normally very hawty, , perverted, rude. He basically makes up for his small size with a big personality. I've been thinking, though, that when it comes down to being sexy, Kaa is very bashful and insecure.

I dunno. I really like that idea, don't you? X3 He'll seduce a meighn (or meighnen) with his powerful personality, but he totally flops over when they're finally naked together. It's so cute!!!! Especially kuz it's Kaa, and he's tiny. :3

One of the main species outside of Matroska is a highly organized, highly advanced race of grey-skinned humanoids with the body and facial features of africans. Their casual clothing consists of a loincloth. A standard for all of them, no matter the occasion, is a techno-thing of undetermined purpose that straps on their back and has thin wires running to their necks and biceps. They have white bands tattoo'd around their arms, just above the elbow, that denote social class. Their name is undetermined. I'm thinking it will start with an "I". This is the race that discovers Matroska.

As for the people of Matroska themselves. i've determined that they will be reptilian. They will stand, and have the general body-type of Sergals. However, they'll be short. Like, 3-4 feet for adults. 5 feet would be MEGA tall. I'm considering calling them vawl, or something similar to that. They aren't as strictly structured as the race mentioned above, though it really depends on whether you're in one of their BIG cities, or if you're just in one of the rural towns or villages. The capital city, which I'm dubbing Vawlt, is a dignified, orderly metropolis. It's despised by those who live outside it, even though Vawlt is a major trading venue for pretty much any trade one can think of. The city is very tightly controlled, so crime is at a minimum. Other cities are looser, but are looked down upon as being lower class by the vawls in Vawlt. As mentioned in a previous journal, vawl society is steampunk based. Mechanics of any range of specialties are as common as geeks are in our world. However, "master mechanics," or vawls that understand pretty much every aspect of machinery, have a very prestigious role in society. They're pretty much the vawl version of superstars. Another presigious kind of engineer is the one that deals with electricity. Electricity is sticky business with vawls. The government (aka, head figures in Vawlt) is afraid of it's power, and tries to keep it under wraps. Electricity is strictly governed. It's used only for things like lightbulbs and fans. Complex robotics is a big thing in the underground, however. Circuitry does exist; computers on our level do exist. However, since they're outlawed, there are only a few of them in all of matroska. Most people don't even know about them.

I know wheres a lot of steampunk fans out there.

I want to know what your favorite aspects of steampunk are, and also some things that you would like to see incorporated into a steampunk world. If Matroska's to be a steampunk world, I'm gonna need ideas, and it'd be cool if you guys could help. :3

Why the heck am I limiting my creativity to the universes I've already made?

I should make something new; something separate from the dimensional axis. It's not that I'm bored with manipulators, elementors, and all the other critters in the Dimensional Axis... It's just that the I've kinda hit a wall in their development, and think that I should start something different.

I could never forget my beloved Manipulators.

I'm calling the new world Matroska. Yes, Matroska. Like the Matroska Video and Audio codecs. >.> what of it?

Matroska is a continental island, like Australia. It's isolated from the rest of the planet (temporarily named Theora, which is another video codec) by thousands of miles of ocean. It's got abundant natural resources, and a very active volcano on it's east coast. The continent is loosely banana shaped (its very curved, so probably like a "U"), with several islands in the massive bay that the curve of the land makes. At the bottom-center of the "U" shaped continent is a massive plateau that drops off on one side, but makes a nice slope down towards the big bay. The slope flattens out 2/3rds of the way to the bay, though. Atop the plateau is a big lake, surrounded by a stretch of grassland, which quickly transitions into forest. On the cliff side of the plateau, built right up to the edge of the massive lake, is the capital city of Matroska. I haven't named it yet.

Matroskas theme is Steampunk. The rest of Theora will likely be more futuristic.

Story-wise, the world outside of Matroska is in a big war. And one day, Matroska is discovered, and the people suddenly get sucked into the conflict. The protagonist is a bank robber/general outlaw. I don't have a name for him, and I don't have a species for him. I do know, however, that his species will have long, thin reptilian tails, and amphibian skin. I'll probably update you guys more on the species later this week.

Anywho.. Any thoughts?

The islands are the Sing archipelago, though people just call them the Burd Islands. (because there's lots of birds there)
The plateau is the called Malp. The lake on top is lake Malpine, and in the forest atop the plateau is the only place where the Malpine Fir tree grows.
