Just a heads up, but I decided to take down the public facing link to my discord server from my linktree, along with making the one on old posts invalid. The reason being is because I mainly want my server to be people who are actual friends and followers. It feels like a lot of random people are just joining for the sake of joining, or to try and scam.

That said, I will still offer the link to the server to people if they ask me directly. However, unless you're someone I know from another server, as a follower, or someone I follow, I'll probably say no. Sorry for doing this, but I don't want my server full of people lurking who have no idea who I even am.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the site Refsheet is shutting down. Because of this, I've moved all my OC bios over to google docs. Links to those are in the respected folders. I also disabled the link to my Refsheet on my Linktree.

Hopefully a good alternative to Refsheet comes, or the site gets revived by someone else (or Toyhouse finally goes public)

Not much of an update, but might as well mention this, but I moved the link I put into all my submissions into the site's submission footer thing. I did retroactively remove the links in the post descriptions on a few, but I stopped after a bit because it'd be too much of a hassle going back and manually updating every single description.

Also decided to prune out some of the very old posts like the OC Icons, Non-Nutshell vector art, and the FTA stuff that I've since scrapped. I'll probably keep those on DeviantArt if they're still there because I don't care nearly as much over there.

Due to the recent changes to the upload policy, I did check in with FA staff directly regarding Nelson. Long story short, he's still fine for the site. That said, there were a few (it was like two) posts of him I removed from FA just in case. One is still available on the OCs Refsheet page and the other I think is still on DeviantArt.

I've been let go from my position as a courtesy clerk at Fry's. Despite 2 years there, it wasn't too great of a choice to work there. I get stressed easily and I'm not much of a people person. Hopefully my next job will be a better fit for me.

Nothing more than that, really. Just letting y'all know it's my 24th birthday today.

For the second month in a row, I've been getting the absolute bare minimum of hours they can give me, which in turn outputs to a mere $36 a week. Because of this, I'm currently in a very bad situation finiacially, and I am in desperate need for support. Please, I need all the help I can get right now.

Pretty much every single week this month, I got a single four hour shift... for the whole week (I help out during the evening at the nearby grocery store). Two of those shifts I wasn't able to go to since I didn't have anyone who could take me (I don't drive).

Been a while since I made a journal entry, but I thought now’s a good time to fill y’all in on my current situation in terms of life and online.

Personal Life:
As of now, things are going well. I got employed part time at the nearby Fry’s Marketplace (grocery store) as a courtesy clerk back in March/April. Though it was very rough in the summer in terms of bringing in carts (given how Arizona gets so damn hot that it actually gets hard to breathe at times), the situation has been mostly stable since it cooled down. There’s been a few hiccups, but nothing terribly big. I also got my right wisdom teeth removed a week ago, and I believe they are almost fully healed, so that’s good. Though it is finally good to be having my own job and being able to make my own money, there’s still another problem on the horizon, as my father’s about a year away from retirement. My father has been providing me with money weekly for stuff like food. However, with him nearing retirement, he won’t be able to do that. Most of job’s payment as of now is to lessen that financial burden my father has by pretty much making it so I’m paying for my own personal expenses (I.E. Patreon Pledges, Subscriptions, Commissions, etc.). Since he’s nearing retirement, I need to try and step up my station job-wise in order to properly pay for myself, something I’ve regrettably been slacking on. One saving grace is that I’m currently applying for Social Security benefits. If those get approved, then that problem’s already resolved. However, there’s still the chance of that being declined, so I need to really focus on improving my job performance in case of it. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

Art:
Working on art has been a struggle due to me still learning the ropes. This however will hopefully improve with practice and experimentation. I do have ideas for new OCs, but these are most likely going to be minor/secondary OCs that server more for occasional appearance and world building. Speaking of which, I’ve been trying to work on building the actual world that my OCs reside in (not all of them, but a majority). If I remember, I’ll try to provide updates to that as I go.

YouTube:
My YouTube channel is something I’ve been horribly slacking on. I do have multiple project ideas in mind to do, but I keep forgetting about them. One thing I may do to get back into things is uploading highlight clips of different memorable moments from RoosterTeeth/Achievement Hunter content, in similar vein to YouTuber Spike Seagull. Other than that, one of the big ideas I have is a redux of my “Everything Wrong With Medabots” video to give a fresh coat of paint. The classic one has multiple errors in it and other dumb jokes I’ve made that I don’t like now looking back on them. Hopefully I can get back into the groove of making YouTube content and not just procrastinate on it for another two years.

Well great. My laptop's D Drive is corrupt to high hell and now I have to let it scan/repair in the middle of the day. I now have literally nothing to do. I'm about fucking ready to just steal the money in order to get this shit upgraded and fixed. I'm so fucking sick of this thing, I want it upgraded as soon as fucking possible!

Apologies for the lack of content currently. I'm still making content, but most of my day is made up of gaming whilst I wait for ordered commissions to be finished (In other words, I'm procrastinating). It's not a total wast of time considering I've still been churning out nutshell art. I've been trying to improve my art abilities, but I never seem to have the attention span to practice frequently. Not to mention that the drawing tablet I have doesn't have a screen, which can make it tricky. I've also been once again dabbling with Blender. I've been using Blender Guru's tutorials to both refresh my mind and give me some sort of practice. I need to try not to dive straight into making a character model. That said, if I do somehow get a grasp on Blender enough to make proper models, there's definitely gonna be some fanmade models of OCs following close by.

Some bits of good news, I finally completed my job training I've been doing for the last 3 months. Well, more so the 10-20 days I've done stretched across 3 months cause of how much of a pain it was to actually attend. Was always having to cancel for one reason or another. No matter, I did finish it, and I got a gift card with $195 on it... that I very quickly spent on commissioned fan art for Suirano. I've also been doing better with saving up my money. Though I still have a fast food addiction, I have been getting better with not spending like crazy. Still quite the distance away from a PC upgrade though. If you want to help, feel free to donate. Finally, I may be getting more active. As of now, I'm horribly out of shape and tend to just sit in front of my laptop all day. To combat this, I took a walk to the nearby mall the other day and ordered some Wetzel's Pretzels. If you saw my tweet, you'll know that I didn't finish and just left a note essentially saying "free leftover food". Though it was most likely just thrown out, still wanted to do a kind gesture. I also decided to continue that trend of being Good Guy Ike by paying for an icon commission for a peer of mine on Rebecca Raptor's Discord. They wanted one, didn't have the money to spare, so I offered to pay for it. Nothing grand, but it still felt good to do. 😁

NSFW artist by the alias of  Suirano is in a hazardous position career wise. His Patreon revenue has been dropping significantly in recent months. He says that if it becomes unsustainable, he'll be forced to completely scrap 15 years of work.
