Silence in a packed auditorium. Spotlights, at half-power, are directed at a bookstand on a high wooden stage-- the leather-bound tome upon it is closed. The orchestra pit is deserted. A small, elegantly dressed rat scurries on stage, and with a practiced hand, sets up a microphone alongside the book. He taps the moc once, twice, quickly and precisely-- there is a slight squeal from the speakers hidden about, but it is silenced and adjusted quickly by a practiced and invisible hand somewhere off-stage. As the rat exits stage right, a hush falls over the crowd. The spotlights come to full power, and moments later, a dog in a modest black suit walks on stage and into the small island of light. A few hands in the audience begin to applaud, but their neighbors quickly silence them. All eyes focus in on the dog as he quietly opens the book and clears his throat. With a small intake of breath, he leans forward to the prepared microphone. The wolrd stops breathing as he states evenly:

"A wolf is merely a dog who has not yet fallen in love."

A warm silence swells to fill the massive space of the hall, leading these words to the ears of everyone who paid their $50. Leaning back and straightening himself, the dog brushes dust from his lapel, closes the book carefully, and leaves the stage. The applause builds slowly, as all the best does. From one pair of hands the cheer swells until it consumes all arms and shakes the building to the very foundation. The spotlights slowly fade as the crimson curtains fall. In the absolute darkness, an excited murmur begins as the patrons discuss these deeply insightful, even majestic words. Suddenly, and without warning, a burning wave of irony flashes across the journal, igniting everyone in the audience before a cry can be made. The theater is once again dark, empty, and clear, prepared for another meaningless piece of pseudo-wisdom.

mostly christmas for me, yeah, but I'll celebrate whatever I can. I want to thank everyone who follows this account, despite how, um, infrequently I update. to put it lightly. A lot of the drawings on here are pretty near and dear to my heart, perhaps concentrated because of infrequence, so I hope you enjoy 'em.

2012 was a real bad year for me, and for a lot of people I know. how was it for you? either way, let's all do our best to make 2013 fantastic. now that quetzacoatl's out of the bag, it should be a snap. personally, I'd like to make some more dang friends this coming year. if I don't already have you on some chat thing, gimme your info-- I'm really bad at keeping up with people on websites like this but I keep a small library of chat programs open pretty much 24/7, and I'd love to have some more cool people to talk to. skype, steam, aim... well, okay, it's a VERY small library, but still. don't brush this off, gimme your secret names (or just add me on skype at captainplasmaman)! tell me now, otherwise, I'll have to come after you individually. you can't escape, I have all your names in a list at the bottom of my profile, huh?

well, that got a bit weird. here's hoping everyone gets everything they want out of 2013.
