In other news, I recently got a book on hobby beekeeping, so hell yes keepin bees. I totally will at some point in my life, whenever I have my own garden. Probably years from now, but HELL YEAH BEES.

I will not spend 20 minutes of playtime just walking somewhere.

I just got back from a week in Seattle with  overlai, in which I drew for the first time this year. Thank God. I also apparently caught acute tonsillitis, or some other throat/nose infection, so I was sick the whole time there. FUN. So, instead of going all over like we had hoped, we mostly went to cafes in the area and hung around at home. Had lots of fucking awesome espresso, watched Repo! The Genetic Opera (and got addicted to it), played through Castle Crashers (love it!), went to Pike Place again, increased butt size due to excessive cuppycakes.

That city is so beautiful. I've been aiming towards moving up there lately, due to pent-up family issues and other things. Parents are going to have to sell the house we're in now anyway, and likely move about a half hour away, which would mean leaving my current job place regardless. I'd rather get out of San Antonio.

I got back to 5 bajillion things in my FA message box, so I don't have the energy to do more than browse through them all. But it does seem both  cawfee and  sloof are drawing awesome things again after a while, go look! :3 (I love you both.)
I would be babbling over individual art things now, but I think I'm getting the black lung, pop. *_{cough, cough}*

Somewhat lame request, but: Does anyone out there know of any good online werewolf stories out there I can read, or can you recommend some published titles to look up?

I'd appreciate it if it wasn't in the furry fanservice leg-humping or sappy romantic genres, too. :C I'm looking for something with more of a classic werewolf lore feeling to it, or something reminiscent of Anne Rice's vampire chronicles, but with, uh, werewolves. 8|

That is the most massive ball of white fluff I have ever seeeeeen. D8 Uh, excluding angora rabbits, but those are not as spectacular.

[edit] I had to blink a few times and realized the tanuki is most like leucistic, not albino; note the eyes and nose are black, not pink. :B

and I can not lie.

So, every so often, I discover some animal tidbit that is just too damn cool not to share. Now is one of those times, and the animal in question is the Jacob sheep. 8D

First off, this breed has SPOTS. SPOTTED SHEEP. Excuse me for being a raging textile horndog, but multi-colored yarn spun from naturally multi-colored sheep? YES. PLEASE. Unfffff

Secondly, the Jacob sheep is a "polycerate" breed, which not only means it has horns, but it has MORE THAN ONE PAIR of horns. Most have two or four horns, although six (!!!) sometimes form. BOTH sexes may have horns, to boot.

a.What initially prompted me to write/draw them.
Ily's just my personal character, and this current version of Ily is many years in the making. My first "fursona" ever was a stoat/ermine sometime in early high school, very simplistic in design. After that, everything got all freaked out, and years passed until I decided I needed a shapeshifting character like this one. The dynamic species changes keep me happy. :'3
b. One of their best traits.
Definitely the species shifting abilities. I'm really proud of her square jaguar spots, eye spots, and ear spirals, because while they are all incredibly simplistic designs, they tie me mentally to the character and remind me that it's "me" whenever I draw a form of her with those. Before I decided my character should be able to switch species at random, I was really frustrated, because I always wanted her to be some other animal every other week.
c. One of their worst traits.
unnh, since she IS how I draw "myself", sometimes I'll use her to emphasize things about myself that I don't like, depending on what I want to express. She can be too skinny, clumsy, etc.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write/draw the character.
I draw Ily very easily, since she's the character I've had around the longest. I get bored of her though, much like I get bored of myself. XD
e. The moment where I feel that I truly captured the character.
Right now I'm very attached to that silly button I did of her that is currently my icon. I like how soft and gentle she looks there. :'3
f. My plans to write/draw the character in the near future.
I'm really hoping this Ily won't be replaced by another, ever. I realize I'll use her to swap between species until the end of time, but I still want her to stay "her". I've been wanting to draw something that emphasizes her color-changing abilities, which I haven't drawn ANYWHERE, so hopefully that will happen soon. XD

I'm looking to buy a lamination machine at some point, and they're kinda pricey. SO, I'll be doing a button special to raise some cash, at only $9 each (!!), plus $2 shipped to the US, $3 shipped anywhere else.

These are a little simpler than the buttons I've been doing before, but also a little more fun. They're done on white paper to make the colors more vibrant, and the coloring is done with mostly cell-style shading; not all super blended and detailed like the portrait badges I'm also doing.

They're also decorated with STICKERS, since I have a ton of those. I've got different themed ones depending on the character, so it can go from blinding neon sparkle stars to pretty artistic ferns, and so on. I even have these crazy photo-realistic hats I might draw some characters wearing. :B Hurrhurr.

I finally decided to delete all mature art from my gallery. I actually feel really good about this. For a long, long time, I really felt the need to keep posting sexual pics mostly because of the response they get. I have a little issue with wanting to be liked, but I finally realized that I don't WANT anyone liking me for those contexts alone. (especially not random furries I've never met from all reaches of the internet). Artistic nudes will possibly wind up here from time to time, but only if they're made specifically with non-sexual intentions. I'm not "giving up" adult art, but now it's solely the property of Lai and I.
