SO, I am totally revved up on buttons, and I really want to do commissions. Does anyone want to be a guinea pig so I can make some samples?! 8D I'll take three, for $10.00, which is $5.00 less than what I'd like to charge for them at the moment. It's a bit cheaper because there are no samples yet. To ship 'em, it'll be $2.00 in the US, $3.00 anywhere else, since I'll have to buy bubble wrap envelopes. I can also make MAGNETS if you'd rather have that! (identical to the buttons, but with a smooth backing with a magnet attached instead of the one with a safety pin.)

They'll be pretty much shoulders-up things, inked and colored with marker on recycled paper (not nearly as doodle-y as the ones in my gallery, haha). If you'd like, I can make it "badge style", with your character's name included. If interested, post a character ref (or species idea, or whatever), and I'll toss you my paypal. :3

AAAAA so I have always wanted a button maker. Well, maybe not always, but for a really damn long time. I just got a call from my mom, and apparently she picked up one of those DAMN EXPENSIVE industrial button makers from a friend, to borrow, because she knew I've wanted one to fiddle with. JOY!

SO, WOW. It makes buttons a little over 2 inches (about 2 1/4"), and apparently it's got a caboodle (heh, caboodle...) of button fronts and backings with it, so I can just start banging out buttons right away. I'll definitely be drawing some things to scan and print out, so I can make a ton of pre-made buttons to sell.

ALSO: MAYBE BUTTON COMMISSIONS? THIS IS RELEVANT. If any of you liked those bone badges I did a while back, I'm thinking bone buttons would be even cooler. Headshots of character skulls!

Anything in particular you'd like to see in button-form, be it pre-mades or commission-theme ideas~?

Tegaki E, seriously. (link) Never have I finished a day with my arm hurting so badly from drawing alone. I rarely use my tablet, but once I started on there I couldn't stop. So much fun. @_@ Um, it's basically like a journal, but EEEVERYTHING on the site is written/drawn using their little art program dealy. Even comments must be left in drawing form. :O

HAY. Does ANYONE out there have any experience with the Micron brush pens?

I'd like to know if their ink is the same quality as the normal "needle tip" microns. More specifically, is the ink REALLY BLACK? I've gotten a number of brush pens from scrapbooking stores and such in the past, but each one always has really watered down ink, and it comes out way more like a Crayola marker (or any black marker in general) than a real inking pen. 8C

I am having a good day!

So I realized while sketching that I almost never... NEVER draw belly buttons. At first I thought I never did at all, but then I found a sparse few pics that did have characters with navels. It's just... Holy crap, does everybody else draw belly buttons normally? Is this just some blatant aspect of anatomy I've nearly ignored my entire life?

Freaky.

Well, I scribbled away on a few requests today, so thanks for all the ideas/characters to play with, guys. :3 I won't take any more requests for now, but I'll probably do this again another time. Expect sketches and stuff filtering into my gallery as time goes on. ♥

I wish I had like... some magic card to hand out to people I want to be friends with. 8< It sucks being mainly focused on an art site like I am, where an attempt to socialize with/watch someone is only taken as me liking their art and nothing else. UNGGH I AM SO PATHETIC. I would totally gush internet woes all over this journal now, but nobody wants that. Don't think so.

So, hay guys. Work's been completely killing me lately, especially today, since I was left COMPLETELY ALONE the whole day for whatever reason, and it was only my 4th day at the job. :C I completely didn't know how to do half of anything, since I'm not done with training yet. Somebody fucked up.

ANYWAY. Tomorrow I have the day off, and I'd like to do some art stuff to help me relax. I don't want to get into an art block though, so I'm going to do some art requests for motivation! This is also a thank-you to all of my watchers, since you all really have no idea how happy it makes me to think that people actually like my stuff. Ummm. Yeah. :'3

:O A day or so ago, I finally plugged "boar" into Wikipedia, and I was rather surprised. Maybe it's because I grew up in primarily desert climates, but every time I heard "boar", something like a peccary or warthog would pop into my mind. But Sus scrofa, a REAL wild boar, is damn cute! omg. so fluffy. ;o; And all this time I thought it was just artists exaggerating.

Holy carp, I haven't listened to the Katamari Damacy soundtrack in eons. ;o; Started playing it on a whim because I wanted some overly happy Asian-ish stuff, and that soundtrack totally hits it. Annh~ I need to play that game. :<

I've been writing in this journal more than my LJ lately because I'm a foool. Also because I just have more watchers on here. :| If I'm going to post something stupid just so I can talk to people, I'm going to do it here, damnit. My boyfriend Lai recently got the sexiest hand-me-down laptop ever from his dad. 163 MB of RAM, 4 GB max of a hard drive. It seems to have been made for Windows 95 like it was a new and awesome OS. lol.

Happy new year, everyone! I do have to say this last year was pretty good to me. I learned a lot, I changed a lot, and I'm happy with how things are now. I hope I stay that way, whatever the new year brings. <3

This coming year I've decided to keep an art journal, where I draw something daily pertaining to what happened that day. It doesn't have to be something that physically happened; it can also be just something I was thinking about, or a subject matter I was mulling over. If this goes well and I don't act like a flake over it, it should mean I'd get to upload something daily now! (even if it's just a a doodle to be sure I draw something daily.) XD

Other than that, I've got new year goals to read all of the Chronicles of Narnia, and open an Etsy shop. WHEEEE. :0

Hello monsters! I hadn't been uploading things recently (as you probably noticed), simply because I was going through some "blarrrgghh art yuck" stage. I seem to be getting over it though, I sketched a lot the past few days, and finished up that last new character sheet for me. :3

I've (finally!) got some new pastel and earth tone tria markers headed my way in the mail, so I'll be able to finish up the commissions and art trades I've had lurking about. I haven't forgotten about you all, I've only been a super flake because I have too many yucky marker colors. :D

ALSO: Neverwinter Nights is a cool game. It makes me miss playing D&D back in California. :< Lai and I are making drider characters! It is superwonderful. Who else likes spider creatures? <3
