I met him!
Posted 7 years agoShort journal, since I never do these, and I'll try to keep it that way.
Met
KiynAtonis in person, finally. I don't remember when we became an item, officially... even he's unsure when we decided on that, but I'd wager it's been about two years since we crossed that road and another couple years on top of that with just... having been friends really!
It was so short-lived, but I wouldn't take it back for a damn thing. Had to work Friday night, didn't get home until about 11:45pm, showered, packed up real quick and drove out from Gainesville and headed down to Megaplex in Orlando. Took a bit longer than I liked, given my... aged truck, but overall, the trip wasn't bad. I got there about 2:30am... then proceeded to stumble about trying to find the hotel room... like the big dumb derg I am.
I finally find the room, atop a Hyatt Tower, 11 floors up, and the first thing out of his mouth was "Get in here!" trying to keep things quiet and, it looked like he was trying to keep from laughing a bit, a mock-serious expression. I don't know what most people do, and it wasn't my first time meeting someone long-distance so I was pretty mentally-prepared compared to him... but I shook his hand like I do most new people, pulled him into a one-armed hug, and then wrapped the other around him. I don't remember how long I held him for, but it felt like an eternity. I was just thankful to meet him finally in person. We didn't do much of anything aside from sleep... and snuggle. ^w^
The following day, we packed up out of that hotel and headed back over to the other room he was staying in (I'll add he booked and paid for a one-night stay, more like half a night at that point, ahead of time on top of the other room he'd already been sharing) and then proceeded to the convention... after a brief attempt at eating breakfast. Was pretty awesome. Got to meet
Patto
Akkla and
Kaiju_Coffee and... really we just... hung out. To others, it might've been seen as super boring. I didn't even have a badge made, being a first timer to any convention at all, kinda tagging along behind my foxy there (who is exceedingly handsome by the by and also had a badge which made him fit the scene better than myself) the whole time. Back and forth we'd go, grabbing stuff from the rooms, being errand boys for the artists and all, but it was amazing. Just... BEING there, near him, it was absolutely amazing.
Was I nervous? Somewhat. More in regards to the convention than being around him. Poor guy was a nervous wreck, though I don't blame him. At the very end, or very near to it, about 4ish hours before we parted ways, I was also extremely lucky to meet miss
Scarlet-Frost too! Am lucky derg. ^w^
That's a pretty brief synopsis of what went down... but god damn it was just too short. Originally I was supposed to stay Sunday (today at the time of writing this) too, but earlier in the week I was told I wouldn't get Sunday off. Skeleton crew at work lost another pair of people so early on, so... I got hit with that issue. But in the end, again, I wouldn't take back a single second of it. He's absolutely everything I was hoping he'd be. Absolutely perfect in my eyes. For a first visit... it went as perfect as I could have hoped for. I can only hope I'm as good as he hoped I'd be too. ^///^
Love you hun!
