I'm really, really struggling with workspace ergonomics these days and it kinda feels like my body is falling apart after too long at the work desk. I've tried multiple different setups for tablet, mouse, and keyboard and none of them work. I don't know HOW other artists put up with this, so I'd really appreciate seeing what other digital artists do!

Commission Monday + Other Updates

Commissions will be opening on Monday, March 6th! A proper full, normal batch this time. Remember that Patrons already got my commission form, so if you're worried about missing your chance, check out my Patreon!
Unfortunately there will not be a charity stream this month. The move really wracked up a lot of debt for me and I need that day to catch up on work so I can get bills taken care of. The stream will be back next month though!

There will NOT be a commission opening next month. I'll be moving to Alabama in February so I don't want the chance of commissions getting delayed by the move (considering I don't have a move date yet).
I will, however, still be doing a Charity Stream on Tuesday, February 7th! By selling toon commissions on stream, we'll be raising money for The Bail Project this time!
I'll be using my time when not packing to get ahead on some pages for Order of the Black Dog - and I'll also be preparing a bunch of YCH auctions, so be on the lookout for those!
Patrons - you'll still be getting commission slots and telegram stickers, no worries there!

Some updates from the crew:
January's commission batch will open up on Monday, January 2nd. Same prices as last time. I've also got a cool YCH planned (some weird tf!) and will probably be selling off some OCs and old fursonas, so keep an eye out for all that!
If you pledge to my Art Patreon, you get early access to the commission form (as in, they already got to submit their ideas!) which means you don't have to worry about getting your slot in before they close.
I'm doing another charity stream on Tuesday, January 3rd! This one will be in support of The Thrive Youth Center, which hopes "to provide a safe and supportive center for homeless LGBTQ youth, so they can become productive, skilled, educated, and successful adults with the opportunity to achieve their dreams." This sort of group became extra important recently when, for example, Texas began to become even more anti-LGBTQ. So, tune in for that stream for a chance to support a good cause and get a toon commission (or telegram sticker!)
I'm probably moving in February, which means commissions for that month may be irregular. No hard dates set so we'll see! More on that as the event gets closer.
So, regarding 2023, I really hope to continue my trend of drawing less furries and more humans. On top of that, I'd love to draw more OC/fursona stuff. Exactly how to do this while still maintaining income isn't super certain, but I just want that desire known! I also probably want to draw less latex because I've grown pretty bored of it and a little soured on it? Especially like, rubber gear art, which admittedly wasn't ever as common for me as rubber critters.
You can probably expect a bunch of ref sheets for our various selves this year, and after all that practice it's likely I'll start offering reference sheet commissions some time in the middle of the year. These will be pricy because I have a pretty high standard for these things.
I think that's everything! Hoping for a good 2023. Not a lot of "resolutions" and more just a series of goals like a lot of boring website stuff to get done. I wish everyone the best of luck this coming year <3

Charity Stream on Friday, Dec 2nd!

This coming Friday, starting at 12 pm Central Standard Time, I will be running a charity stream on Twitch to benefit The Trevor Project.
The gist is, you buy a SFW toon commission from me, I draw it live, and all the money you pay goes directly to the charity! Obviously great if people donated without getting art, of course, it's a good cause!
The Trevor Project is a suicide prevention organization focusing on the LGBTQ+ community. They run hotlines, digital support services, and work for general LGBTQ+ advocacy.
So, I'd love it if you joined me this Friday. Get some art, help people do some important work, and watch some cute art get drawn. Make sure you subscribe to my twitch so it'll notify you as to when I start: https://www.twitch.tv/nx42system

Comms: Tomorrow, Monday the 31st, I'll be opening a batch of commissions for November, so please plan ahead! Since tomorrow isn't technically Nov yet, this maybe means some people won't have funds yet? It's a big batch this time so if this is the case, I advise you to just wait until you're sure, I don't think I'll be filling too quickly.
YCHs: I'll be running a few YCHs this month including Furry-to-Human TF and some Stargazer TF!
Paypal: Paypal, despite all the fuss over it, has gone ahead with its new rule about $2500 for rule breaking, and their rules do include NSFW content. This the risk of Paypal from "potential annoyance" to "potential financial ruin", which means I'm probably going to try to use Square in November. Square doesn't require you to have an account to pay! You just need a card. I'll be experimenting with it before going live with it, because I think, in theory, people can pay Square invoices with Paypal (EDIT: NO IT CANNOT, YOU WILL NEED A CARD OR GOOGLE PAY ACCOUNT). We'll see, but this is your warning that payments may be weird next month.

What do you all think of this site? If you've used it, has it been easy or a pain?
It's been a bit of an annoyance on my end to be honest - its system of notifications and communication with clients is super clunky with a lot of redundancy going on. I'm not super sure it's worth it, what do you all think?

Comms Closed Early
General | Posted 3 years agoHi all, we closed our commissions early because we got a new computer desk and setting it up has necessitated the rearranging of half our room. We're really disrupted and still adjusting so it's gonna kill like the whole rest of this week? We were already hitting burn out last month too, so we've decided to just not push our luck this month. Hopefully, after a few weeks, we'll take another small batch to fill the rest of the month out.

We are also planning to open a second Patreon soon! This one will be more overtly for our art and will include monthly telegram stickers! We plan to help get it moving with some fan art projects, so if you have suggestions for fan art that you think we could do good justice to, do speak up!

I tried looking into alternative payments besides Paypal but nothing seemed right...? Maybe I just wasn't reading any of the common ones correctly but none of them seemed usable for what artists do. Let me know if anyone's really gone into detail about them so I can read it over.
