Hello everyone. The world has hit a new, exotic form of scary and stressful, but us artists must power on, so I giving you all a heads up of commission opening up on Monday, February 28th.

I will say that I will not blame anyone if you choose to send your spare income to, for example, trans/lgbq+ charities in Texas or humanitarian efforts for Ukraine instead of buying furry porn. A small hit in income will not ruin me, but many people lately cannot say the same.

That being said, I will still be here ready to offer art. I must confess that our interest in drawing furry art is slowly, gently slipping and leaning more towards humanoid art, so if you have any desire for that, we would appreciate it.

Okay, so to emphasize a confusing point: future Blake & Wilson pages can only be posted on a monthly basis. This is because of an agreement I made with Cushy Pen, the paysite to which the comic was originally posted - the deal is that content from the site can only be posted free to the public one year after their initial posting. Because it was done per month for the site, this means we'll only be getting newer pages on FA each month. At 118 pages, this means the final page will be posted in September.

I should also say that you all need to be less violent in the comments. I know Jesse is a bad guy, you're supposed to hate him, but detailing ways to kill a character is not acceptable conduct. Get too graphic and I will block you.

In case it needs to be said, just because this diaper comic has been posting does not mean that my embargo on diaper commissions has lifted and it doesn't mean I want to talk about diapers in private, so keep that in mind too, please.

Monday, January 31st, I'll be opening commission slots to be finished by the end of February. No humanoid discount this time, but I'd still love to get more nonfurry commissions, so don't be shy with em!

I typically post the form to FA around 5 pm Eastern Standard and post announcements to Twitter and my various chatrooms.

I'm going to try to be a bit more transparent about slots this time, clearly emailing people about whether or not they're going to be invoiced - and why their comms aren't accepted, in those cases. I'm sorry that I haven't been very communicative about that in the past, but I get a lot of commissions so it takes a bit of effort to do that to everyone. Still, hoping to change that!

Progress continues slowly on the next draft for Issue 25 of Order of the Black Dog. No time table for release yet but be sure to plug into my Patreon if you'd like to support the project!

Hello! I will be opening an extra big batch of commissions on Monday, Nov 1st! This will be intended to last me until the end of December.

This means that now is the time to get art that is a Christmas gift or Christmas themed. I want to do some latex reindeer suiting sort of art this year and will probably open a YCH or two about it in a week or two, but you're welcome to get stuff along those themes!

Two important notes:
*Because the size of this batch, it's likely that you won't see your art until late December, but I'm confident I can get everything done before Christmas.
*I'll be out of state until Nov 10th! So no commission work until the 11th except for the toon YCHs which I'll be finishing before I leave.

I had a nice time at Denfur. People seemed pretty okay-ish about the pandemic, lot of masks and such, though the poor separation between the reg line and the actual con was pretty iffy... still, negative results on the Covid test here and no one who went with me got sick!

Anyways! Commissions will open up Monday! There's a price increase for full res images and my commission page has the updated numbers. Now's a good time to get any Halloween art you might want to make sure you have it on time - I almost always complete art by the end of the month so you'd get to have it in time for October to start!

Hola from the NX-42 crew!

We're safely settled into our new house now in southern Minnesota! We're here with several good friends in a nice three story house (+attic!), comfy room to ourselves.

We're sadly still waiting on our new computer desk to arrive via mail, and it may be two weeks or more!! So real commissions can't resume yet. You can probably expect some adopts soon (both new and an old OC or two) to keep things flowing. This also means Order of the Black Dog is still on hold.

Mood is good. Health is mostly good, even if we're really really sore from so much heavy box lifting and uhaul unloading x.x

Remember when I said that the last commission batch was meant to occupy February and March? Well... they're all done now, way early, so I will be opening a batch of commissions for March!
March 1st, 5 pm, watch my submissions for a commission form.

I will have to entirely take April off from commissions because I have an official move date! I'll have to spend April packing and getting ahead on work for Black Dogs, and then mid-April I will be off on a plane, traveling to South Dakota.

Speaking of Order of the Black Dog, the drawing of Issue 24 should start soon! If you pledge to my Patreon, you'll get to see the pages two weeks early! I've made my Patreon a lot simpler, with no more fancy tiers or rewards, but it's still there to get high-res pages.

★ Plurality ★

Early this year, I started thinking about the concept of plurality. It was a concept I'd known about before, but had only recently been able to really contemplate, understand, and accept. After a lot of inner reflection (aka literally asking if anyone was there and then getting answers), it became clear that I, we, were plural - and had been for a long time.

"Plurality (or multiplicity) is the existence of multiple self-aware entities inside one physical brain."

Coming to this realization back in March put a lot of past experiences and memories in a light that made a lot more sense. I've been open about this in chatrooms since then, but wanted to wait this long before a real public announcement just to make sure it was "real," I suppose.

This won't really change much of anything with my posting or work, but it will hopefully explain some minor discrepancies and also explain where all these random characters like Wrath and Gamma came from. A lot of this isn't necessarily people's business, but we're all pretty tired of having to explain it again and again.

We use the metaphor of a starship's crew as shorthand for the system as a whole, a nice little theme to unify us all. We have different personalities, tastes, and origins, but we're all here and we mostly just want to chill and live. The emoji we have in our profiles can be used to show who's posted, if it's relevant.

★ HRT/Gender ★

So. Part two, Rebecca again. I've stopped taking HRT and ceased my gender goals.

This year, among so many, many other things, was punctuated for me by pretty bad health problems. Severe chronic pain and weakness. It was eventually discovered that it was my HRT medicine causing it - stopping the hormones caused almost all the pain problems to disappear (still have a fair bit of issues though, so it's more likely that the HRT exacerbated underlying issues, rather than causing them).

Stopping HRT made me re-evaluate my gender identity, which some of you saw in some gender-twisting raptor art late this year. I had to think about what I really was, what I wanted, and what I could. I've settled on being agender, ideally using they/them pronouns, though she/her is still acceptable and still what I use out of habit for now.

Honestly, "monster" was already becoming a more important identifier for me than any gender label :P

It's pretty crushing to have to cease HRT, but I hope it's not too discouraging for anyone trying to pursue the same goal. This sort of reaction is rare - if hormones will give you the body you want, then keep at it, keep trying. Me, I can be happy without them.

★ TL;DR ★

Summing it all up: we're plural, and this body is shared by seven different personalities, please do your best to understand/respect that. Rebecca is now agendered and prefers they/them.

Hi all! This journal is to let you all know that the character of Darkmon, that black, white, and yellow veemon with a long history of dommy art, now belongs to me! The original owner traded it to   zerocharisma she then traded it to me.

In exchange, she now owns my original Wolfrabbit fursona, along with its black-furred, female, zerg, and martian counterparts. Some of these will still show up in a specific future project but in all other cases, they are no longer available for my use.

In all honesty, I don't want to talk about why I did this or got rid of something with so much history behind it. Just trust that it feels like the right thing to do. I'm sorry if this upsets anyone who had a history of this design.

Regarding Darkmon: there is certainly a history with the character that some will know of. I'd like you to try to abandon some of the more unsavory aspects, as they will not be carried over or repeated. There is content and connotations I do not condone! What the character instead will be is a dominant, infectious digital entity deeply tied to my raptor queen.

Hey all! Raptor time 🐝

I wore my wrist and arm out pretty bad. Maybe carpal tunnel? I'm getting better but I've been having to take half days for a while. So, if you're waiting for a commission, sorry to say there will be a delay. No more than two weeks unless something happens.

This also means that once these toons are done, I will be taking a week's break from drawing and will not be taking regular commissions. I'll most likely do some YCH auctions and adopts, though.

This has been pretty stressful me, because all the ways I relax after drawing also involve my wrists, so there's been a lot of just... doing nothing, being in voice calls or watching stuff, which is fiiiine but I have a lot I want to draw...

Symptoms aren't too bad and are getting better, but I'm going to be careful for a long time because basically everything in my life rests on my right hand.

So, firstly, I will be opening for a normal batch of toon commissions on monday, the 6th at 5 pm Eastern Standard Time. There may be a delay to starting them as I am still working through the hazmat toons. If you missed your chance to get rubbery droney hazmat art, this monday would be a great time!

I don't usually ask this, but if you got included in the hazmat batch, I'd like you to wait two days before applying for a toon this time so everyone gets a chance!


On a more stern note, I'd like to recommend everyone keep an eye on their emails for commission updates and, most importantly, invoices. I often have to sort through information and payments from 50+ people in batches, it is NOT my responsibility to follow up on every single slow. If you do not pay on time, you will lose your slot, it's your job to watch for invoices.
