Funerals, holidays and last minute shopping
General | Posted 2 days agoI will be handling my Grandmothers funeral arrangements for the next few days and will be unavailable for a little bit.
For the last couple years I have been unable to get my Amazon wishlist out early enough due to similar family emergencies. This year I wanted to get it out early enough to possibly do some good.
Your support this year has been everything to me. From kind words, comments on my published pieces, friendships formed, community acceptance, commissioning my art and donations...You have all made an entirely bad year all the better. Thank you all. I would not still be doing art now if it wasn't for the amazing people I have met and been involved with over the years. Each of you should get a hug from me in person. Virtual hugs will do. Thank you all for helping me through so much. It has been an honor doing art for you all for so long.

Furry Accessory Help
General | Posted 7 years agoHowdy all. I have a friend who wants to buy a blue fuzzy tail to wear and she is having some trouble finding anything as the idea of furries is a foreign concept that she is only vaguely aware of. I advised her to keep the funds in the community and buy from a maker rather than through amazon or the like where something is made on the super cheap and not worth a cuss.
HOWEVER, I am as well un-informed on makers in the community and need to ask for guidance in the right directions. Anyone have a place/person they trust and respect for quality work?

Discord issues (get out now)
General | Posted 7 years agoIf you are on my Discord, I should let you know I am abandoning Discord entirely. It's been overtaken by a spammer and I am locked out of Discord right now, unable to log in to take care of the issue. Sorry folks. Someone ruined it for everyone. Should I ever get access again to Discord I may start a new server. However, right now I am trying to maintain my temper and just walk away from it.
Again, if you are on my server, just jump ship and abandon the burning rubble it now is apparently. I will try to find another form of chat like server to start something like it in the future.
Spread the word please if you can. Thank you all.

Holiday Message and Art Update
General | Posted 7 years ago I am working on something special in lew of the comic page that was supposed to be up yesterday on my Patreon page. Thanks to power loss, return, loss, return and loss again yesterday I didn't get it finished. I am hoping to get it done today but the weather is still going windy and weird here. None the less....I am fiddling about with the art today again.
Next week I am taking off, I figure to be away from my computer and studio for the better part of the remaining year to visit with family in two different towns on the opposite ends of the state. Lots of driving in shit conditions and dealing with family needs. Should be a blast. Heh.
All said though, I hope you all have a fantastic Holiday period, no matter your celebratory needs. I hope your new year celebrations are safe, fun and filled with hope and renewal for the coming 2019. Remember, if you have a little too much to drink and you are not home, get a cab, find a sober friend, sleep over... Do whatever you can to keep from being behind the wheel of a vehicle. Offer the same chances for friends who may be visiting you too. Let them stay on your couch, floor, bed, or bathtub. Don't let them drive after a bit too much.
All that foo-fa-rah said, thank you all so much for the years support. You are all amazing fans and friends. I look forward to another year filled with fun arts. Thank you to those who have sent me things off my wishlist for christmas, I am still working on a couple bits of thank you art for them. And thank you all so much for the kind words left in comments and notes. They fill me with enthusiasm to continue to experiment and draw more fun things for everyone to enjoy.

Art updates and reasons. . .
General | Posted 7 years agoBack after a long weekend
General | Posted 7 years agoAlright. I have dozens of notes to read and reply to, multiple pieces of art to work on for commissions and a little more recovery to handle at some point today. For those in the know, I participate in ExtraLife every year. My plans started Sat. morning at 6am watching a stream of fundraisers and hosting board games myself among friends who came to join in the fun. Four of us played board games while Rooster Teeth streamed their madness in the background on the TV. Half way through the 24hour stream someone announced they would be streaming the entire game of the not yet released Spyro game after the main stream. I vowed to watch through that too and add what little I nay have had left by then to the fundraising efforts. Each game we played the losers had to pitch in $20 to ExtraLife. We raised a minimum of $60 per game with the exception of one game that ended in a tie and only had two losers. :P I stayed awake for a little over 40hours. Played multiple games and had fun. Watched the sillyness of the RoosterTeeth stream as it ran and enjoyed the early gameplay stream of Lil J playing Spyro.
All the commissions I did last week had all the funds go to ExtraLife ($380) and the board games added an additional $520 to the pool. I may be a little slow answering messages and finishing up commissions. (I am still recovering a little from only a short nights rest last night.) Today is all about starting to get caught up on arts a little. Tomorrow will find me dealing with medical doctor visit needs. and Wen. I am scheduled to rest. (orders from the missus who is worried I might burn myself out)
I ask for a little patience as I re-set my brain, body and arting hands. You all made this years fundraising a success and next year if I get my butt in gear I will try to double that amount.
In total, RoosterTeeth managed to raise a little over $1,480,000. I am so proud to have been a tiny part of that with the arts I do and the friends I have.

It's almost here! I am soooo excited!
General | Posted 7 years agoHalloween is my favorite holiday! I am excited like I was a kid again on Christmas eve. (Now relegated to an 'it's alright' holiday.)
That having been said I will be taking the day off. No arts as such, just loads of Halloween decorations to finish, get set up and joyfully hand out candy to kids! Yay!
But fear not. It may be the end of October, that just means the start of November is next and that means more arts, $25 tier rewards for my Patreons, and next week I'll be doing two pages of the continuing comic story over there. (Join on Thursday if you are not already a member so you don't get charged for October https://www.patreon.com/immortaltom )
I hope everyone gets to have a fantastic Halloween. Safe and filled with costumed, booze and sugar fueled pleasures. If you have to do any driving out there, watch for the little candy addled monsters running around excited and filled with only one goal. The next door that will give them candy. :D I'll see you all in November. Cheers!

BE Shampoo Re-Draw Update
General | Posted 7 years agoI now have ten full pages to the re-design of the old 'BE Shampoo' comic I did sooo many years ago.
Here are all the old pages...
1) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg1-57923617
2) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg2-57923573
3) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg3-57923500
4) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg4-60833703
5) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg5-60833827
6) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg6-60865813
7) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg7-60834041
8) DA deemed this one offensive when I first posted it and the originals where lost in a fire years ago. Fortunately someone had it saved on a hard drive and sent it to me. It is now posted with the re-issue strip on my Patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/immortaltom )
9) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....o-pg9-69524145
10) https://www.deviantart.com/immortal.....-pg10-69524281
The new pages and a continuation of the story is over on my Patreon page now. Mind you, I have slowed the story a little as I am doing a bit of world building as well as more character development so it is not as instantly gratifying but it is about to move to a faster transforming pace. :D If you are not a Patreon member with me yet, drop on over and do a low monthly pledge of $5 a month for access to the weekly page and the random arts I do for fun and rewards.

Patreon announcement
General | Posted 7 years agoPatreon seemes to have fixed the billing issue and September is a big go. :D If you dropped this month as advised and wish to return again on the 1st there have been lots of additional posts. Each week has got a new page of the re-make of the 'BE Shampoo' series. (Page four comes out tomorrow) And already the art has started to change how the story goes while it will still retain the original form and path. Pg3 took a story topic change and new panel layouts. These are and will continue to be Patreon exclusives. Some of the other arts will be re-released here and other free to view sites. This is how I earn a living and your support is always welcome and appreciated. Cheers all. I hope the coming month proves less stress inducing and more arting. :P

medical update
General | Posted 7 years agoUpdate on my doctors visit yesterday.
My shoulder slows me down a little when I draw as it has some small bone spurs, torn cartilage and possible ripped muscle connections with loads of scar tissue. The x rays showed some small damage but not a lot of detail, however the doctor who then physically felt around my shoulder and moved my arm around was surprised how much popping and clicking it did and asked how I wasn't in pain. I told him it was like having an icepick permanently lodged in my shoulder and I've dealt with the discomfort for so long i hardly notice it most of the time. It's been growing worse so I decided I had to go see a specialist about it. (That's a lie. My loving wife told me right out that I had to go see one. :P ) I am going to be getting an MRI soon and then be discussing surgery in the near future. Not looking forward to that day.
That all being fun and games, I am having a birthday tomorrow. (old person problems. Am I right? :P ) I plan on drinking a little, eating something good and celebrating with my wife and a couple friends maybe if they have the time. Or my wife doesn't just want a quiet evening together alone. Wink wink, nudge nudge. Know what I mean?
Should you decide to help me celebrate a little as the month continues on, let me know by swinging into my Amazon wish list and picking me up something fun. :D ( http://a.co/3YIQ2n9 ) Some already have and I've been trying to keep up with thank you drawings. I'm always amazed at how awesome so many are to support me, comment on my scribbles and in general just be fantastic friends and fans. You all rock sooooo much. Let no one tell you otherwise. Sure, anything you order from my wish list won't get to me by tomorrow, but the rest of the month could be filled with surprises still. Should you decide to get something, please make sure to leave a message with the gift so I know who sends me what. I don't want to let anyone slip by without a thank you. ;P
I'll catch all you groovy people later. I am going to work on a comic page and some commission works today to try to stay ahead of myself a little. Take it easy and thank you all again for the kind words and support.

URGENT, Patreon members (and non-members) please read
General | Posted 7 years ago Patreon seems to have had some issues this month and your subscription payment may have been marked as fraud. However some people have tried to close their support then re-open their support only to be charged twice this month.
Please, error on the side of caution. Pull your support for Aug. if you didn't get your support through yet due to the errors of Patreon while they change whatever it was they are trying to fix. Come back in Sept. and re-pledge your support. The exclusive stuff isn't going anywhere this month and I am happy to take the hit a bit to make sure everyone is safe and can afford the support.
On that note, now is a good time to mention this. I know some of my support comes from people who may have a hard time supplying $2 or $5 a month. I can not stress this enough. If you can not afford to help me out I want you to make sure you take care of yourself first. As someone always on the edge of financial collapse I understand the need for money in the pocket. I won't be offended in any way if you need to pull free of the monthly charge. Come back when you can give and not strain the coffers. I don't plan on going anywhere soon.
And on that note, if you don't support me already/yet please swing on in and do so. It will be appreciated very much as the funds do help me pay my internet bill and keep my lights on so I can continue posting fun arts. ( https://www.patreon.com/immortaltom ) But do so in Sept. as there are too many issues this month that I think Patreon is scrambling to fix.
Thanks to all who do support me though. And thanks to those who wish they could and just offer kind words of encouragement. Every one of you who see my stuff and get a smile from time to time are fantastic. I hope to hear from you all in time. Cheers.

Continued support and move update
General | Posted 7 years agoWe have found a place to move to now! One less thing to stress over and now we can really move forward and put our belongings somewhere other than storage while we couch surfed with friends and family.
I can not express how amazing people are. My wife is always a little nervous about internet communities but she is again seeing how amazing the communities I am involved in really are. If it wasn't for the kind words and occasional donations she would have asked me to abandon this stuff a while ago. You all make it possible to keep me doing arts of varied fun. We are a little over $300 towards a goal of $3k needed by the 15th of next month. Help up reach this goal to make our move smoother and fast while getting me back to arts faster as well. Every spare dollar helps. Thank you all in advance for your support and continuing well wishes in this time of dramatic change. It is helping us in ways few could fully understand.
I have been advised by multiple people to get a go fund me page started to help ease the stress of the sudden move my wife and I have to do. This funding will help speed up my return to drawing all kinds of fun things for people here and in other places. This is strictly a 'help me move' funding and any left over change will help by anything we may need to make our new home (wherever it may end up) livable as soon as possible. Internet hook up and the like. Mostly it is going to be for a moving company and will likely be eaten up entirely by them at the end of the day. Still. It would greatly assist us in relieving stress, personal injuries (if we are doing all the heavy lifting) and time. I can not express how stressed I am right now to deal with all this in such a short time as it is, so any donations will be unbelievably received with joy and considerable relief.
If you can spare a bit here is the page. ( www.gofundme.com/moving-expens… )
Or here. ( https://ko-fi.com/V7V7CA1O )
Or if you feel more comfortable with donations via PayPal I understand too and can give you my Paypal info if you send me a note.
Than you all so much already. Just the outpouring of kind words and wishful thoughts has been overwhelming as always. I am truly lucky to have so many wonderful people backing us up and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity and willingness to help a fellow human being that comes from the communities we all share here and in other sites. You all are amazing. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Got some more pages sketched for the re-visit of the old "B.E. Shampoo" comic.
However. . . And here's the big rub that is stressing me out so much I am having mini panic attacks. . .
My wife and I are desperately trying to find a new home. We can no longer afford the raising cost of our apartment and are being forced out in a little over a month. This means a couple things. I am packing up our belongings, going house hunting with a realtor almost every day, and not getting near as much art as I'd like to do done. In addition, this means I am going to have to be leaving the world for a while here and won't be able to do much in the way of updating arts as regularly as I'd like. (Or not at all if I don't have a place to live)
This is absolutely crushing me right now and as said before, I am having panic attacks thinking of how far behind on rewards and content posts I'll get when I have to move and possibly put my computer and other belongings in storage till we find a place. And I have no idea how long that can take.
I depend on the support you all provide here and can not express the pure elation to know so many of you are willing to help with your support and kind words. I ask, as humbly as I can, for your continued support as every dime is going to try to help get us a new home so I can rebuild a studio space and get to doing arts again as much as I can.
I fully understand if you need/want to pull your support soon till I can return in full force. I never want anyone to spend on me what they may need for themselves to live. Nor do I want anyone to feel ripped off by lack of content postings and exclusives while I am away.
NOW! That being said, I am going to try to pack a few things, get some more sketching layouts for the comic doodled and continue to push to the end as best I can.
