On Saturday I found out that a long time friend of mine had passed away. Since then I’ve been “off” so to speak. I’ve actually been throwing myself into my work lately to fill up my time. Of course I still think about my friend a lot. We shared 13 years of memories, some good, some bad, like all—and a lot of these memories have been playing through my mind a lot these past few days. But when I focus on my work, it does tend to dull the hurt I feel.

I know the feeling will pass. Sad to say he isn’t the first friend I’ve lost, but doesn’t make it any easier.

I’ll be doing a derpday image today for a good bud on FA, as well as finish off a commission, as well as begin another. I figure if I can at least be productive, keep myself busy, it’d be a good way to sort of feel better. Oddly enough, it works for me. I may be on a little later, I still have to cook dinner and I’ll be probably on messengers while I work. Probably not until later tonight, though. But I’m pushing out at least that derpday image for my bud tonight, and if I can’t sleep again tonight, I’m going to work on the other drawings. If I can sleep, well, if anything tomorrow is my drawing day, so if anything I should catch up on my work.

And it hasn't rained yet, odd that!

Well I made it fine, sorry it took a while to post that here, I have been without internet at my new apartment and we won't get it set up until This coming tuesday. So far so good and I'm loving my new home. I will be able to draw a bit more now that I don't have so much going on until the next month, when get married :)

I'll keep you posted on the details when i'm not severely jetlagged. ^^

If you keep up with ExtermiantusNow you may already know some this, but I'll mention it anyway :p


Tuesday is my last full day here in America because on July 28th I'll be boarding Virgin Atlantic (to quote my best friend, considering how they are screwing people over, I find the name ironic) around 7:30 pm and I will be taking my girls (dogs) Brandi, and Whiskie. I think the fact that they'll be in cargo to be the hardest part of the whole thing because when it comes down to it, I don't like being apart from my chihuahuas. And it doesn't help that I have a phobia of flying and spent the last few days panicking about all sorts of thing.

My flight is VS046 and I'll be departing from JFK. I'll be leaving my house at 11am because it'll take forever and a day to get there, and traffic may be a factor so I will more than likely not be on during this time--not that I was actually any good at answering comments promptly, but I may take longer than usual because for the next several days, to possibly weeks I will be very busy.

I have everything packed, but at this moment what I need to do is clear out my room and put some things in storage, which shouldn't take forever and a day but considering the night I've had last night, not too many things got done.

I may put one more journal after this I may not, it really depends on the window of time I may have.

Hello. I know this account has been virtually empty for a long time now but I plan to change it. The name I go by is Raye. Raye's been my nickname since I was 12, 13 and when I was 13 or 14 I created my OC, whom is also named Raye (fun tidbit, my friends and I were making a little comic at the time, when I was trying to come up with a name they kept calling her Raye the cat, and eventually Raye just stuck. It was super unoriginal but I also can't see her with another name now).

Wanted to clear that up because it may be confusing.

I keep getting pestered to post something here and I suppose a journal's a good start. I don't have any drawings as of yet but this weekend I plan to create some (though I'm not sure if I'll be posting)

I don't want to promise pictures by tomorrow or next week, because I'll be honest, I have a lot of stuff to do (one of them is clear out the desk so I have actual room to draw stuff on) but I'll try to draw and post whenever I can.

So, yeah; my name is Raye. I've recently rekindle with my love to draw. I started with humans, worked my way with anthro; with anthro I started off with Tiny Toons fanart but got into Sonic a lot more. My style, actually, may be reminiscent of Sonic considering I've dove more into the style when I was younger.

I'm not really sure what else to say. I suppose you can ask me questions if you like.
