Well, as my time here in Iraq draws to a close, I am mailing some personal effects home. Included in that were most of my sketchbooks as well as my tablet. So, that leaves me with my writing! Yay, or something similar.

Since I don't wanna just jump into writing something without any thought, I want to get some ideas down. Problem, I don't have any at the moment. At least none that I wanna write. So, here's my plan.

1)Edit Endorphin Ch1
-grammer/spelling
-change point of view? (either all 1st, or all 3rd person)

2)Write character back story for Kemikal and Inadvertant

3)Short stories

Now, I want you all to help me! How? Simple, give me ideas, suggestions and feedback! What do you all like? What should I change? Should I keep the rotating perspectives in Endorphin? Or just stick with one of them? Also, toss at me any and all short story ideas you have! I don't care what they are, consider the requests, gifts or whatever! Okay, so I know it's been awhile. But yes, I have been busy. Some of you dear watchers of mine have been asking me what I've been up to. I've been up to a lot, and here's the list.

Now, I'm also redoing Kemikal's markings, but I need help! Your help! Even though the char sheet for him may be done/uploaded soon, it probably won't have any markings! Why? Because I want you all to help me come up with something! Sketch it, describe it, paint it, whatever you want. If you think it'll fit my toxic little creation's theme/design, let me know! Also, up in the air, is the design of his half-face respirator mask (of a gothic/industrial design). So again, feel free to help me out with this!

If I choose your suggestion, I'll do something for ya; not sure what yet as I can't draw that well. I'll probably write a brand new story with your character as a main! Let me know what you'd like!!

Okay, so I have successfully traveled from CT back to Iraq and after taking my first shower in a few days I feel much better. As much as I love being home and being with the greatest people on the planet, my friends, I must admit that it is nice to be with my fellow Marines again. I'm not going to bother recapping my time home, but I will say this; While it was a fun time, it wasn't the best time I've had home.

I do, however, want to let everyone know that I have new found spark for drawing and writing with ideas coming to me in a sudden wave of inspiration. I'd rather not say what the root cause and overall emotion of this inspiration is (if you would like to know, just ask in a note/message). As of now I am working on an anthropormophic robot picture. Yes, an anthro robot. Since I can't to organic pictures very well and seem to nestle into sci-fi much easier, I figured a robot would be a nice place to start and work on making that feel more natural with time. The image will be posted online for viewing.

In other news, concept art for what I hope will soon be a flash game is under way. Details will be sparse, but I can say that it will be called (as of now) Super Unleaded and is the brainchild of myself and one of my best friends (and oldest friends who has always been there for me and I am honored to be able to say he is my friend) Nikk. He will be the main programmer on the project and the title will be released under the FMA games name.

Well, today marks the last day of my leave. I spent 15 days home, and it was a good time. Had a lot of fun with  pawsproductions and  bios as well as my other friends Nikk, Justin, Bill and seeing way more damned family than I remember, haha.

Sadly, I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to and promise to make up for that the next time I'm home! It wasn't the best time I've had home, but it was good; makes me look forward to getting out so I can move on with my life and find myself a cute furry girl who doesn't mind my company, haha.

As the title suggests, I'm back from Cpl's Course. I didn't bring my camera, but there are others who took pictures and I will hopefully get those.

That's right everyone; Ideas, I need them. As of late I have decided to take on a new way of writing short stories. I'm not going to plan shit anymore, just sit down and start writing and whatever I get, I'll read later and edit/cut out what I don't want. However, I find I'm fresh out of ideas and therefor I am asking all of my awesome watchers (that's you!) to put into the comments section below any ideas you come up with! Of course I have no idea how many responses I'll get to this, but I'll try to take as many of the ideas as I can and use them. In other news, I won't be around for the next 10 days (presumably, might change) because I am going to Corporals Course (oh joy of joys *sarcasm). This will last from the 3rd to the 13th, and from that point on I'll be getting ready for R&R/Leave to go home and hang out with friends and family for 15 days! Whoo!

So I just got a magazine, the Launch Issue of 3D Artist, as a gift. It came with a CD, and on that CD is a program called Carrara 6.2 Pro. It's the full version with a serial number. It doesn't time out and it won't watermark my pictures.

I have never done 3D before, and I am currently watching a number of tutorial videos online. Hope you all don't mind seeing some crappy practice pieces!

Ok, so as some of you may have noticed, names are a changin' in my stories (as outlined in my last journal). Well, in the story entitled So This Is What It's Like... I introduce Petra "Grimm" Kurlienko, well her new name that she'll be known by is Sof'ya Iosifovna Golovka or "Ursatz", once she is mated to Kemikal she'll change her last name to Golovka-Petrova.

To explain the naming of these three, it's rather simple.

FIRST NAMES the first name, same in most culture
Sof'ya
Nikolay
Pyotr

PATRONYIC NAMES this is the name of the father with a suffix meaning 'son of' or 'daughter of' added
father is Iosif, so Iosifovna is the name used
father is Sergey so Sergeyivich is the name used
father is Vyacheslave so Vycheslavich is the name used

FAMILY NAME simply the last name
Golovka, for males it would be Golovko
Petrov, used for both Indy and Kem as they are considered brothers.
Once Kountrfit and Kem are mated, the female form of Petrov, Petrova is added to Golovka making her last name Golovka-Petrova.

DIMUNITIVE NAME a nick name, like my first name is Gabriel, but Gabe will be used by my friends
Sof'ya = Sonya
Pyotr = stays the same or Peter
Nikolay = Kolya

"FUR" NAMES these are the names they go by in The Damned and also on a more regular basis
Inadvertant/Indy
Kemikal/Kem
Ursatz/Ursa

his 'adopted' brother Pyotr Sergeyevich Petrov, or Peter to Vyachaslev and Kemikal "Kem" to everyone else

Kem's wife Sof'ya Iosifovna Golovka-Petrova, or Sonya to humans and "Grimm" to most others.

a huuuuge background story is being woven for these three and will tie directly into Endorphin: Hour of Dawn and my four main characters from that, who as follows:

David "Damascus" Gilmore, Ascended Vindicator "Atherian, a Nephilim"
James "Titus" Vukevich, Ascended Avenger "Risen, a Nephilim"
Jessica "Cherubim" and Evelyn "Sinai" Hollins, Twin Ascended Gaurdians "Blood Born, Nephilims"

Chapters 2 and 3 will help shed more light on those seven characters, as well as the background story for the first three. Hope you all enjoy these as much I enjoy writing and creating them.

Ok, so Iraq is going well. Can't really talk much about what I'm doing but I just won a Marine of the Quarter board for my unit as well as earned high praise from the majority of my superiors. Morale is high, which is good. Movies and games are played by just about all of us.

As far as art goes, I've been hard at work on my tablet designing a new alternate fursona named Kemikal. He is an English Lop-Eared Rabbit. Further details later.
I'm almost done with the human morph of Indy in traditional combat armor. Possibly going to work him into my story Endorphin.

I'm using my tablet and Corel Painter to make watercolor that I'll post as soon as I get it done.

Ok, so as of late I've been working on some new things. I'm painting my room white and then going to be starting a collage/mural like thing on it, probably gonna make it last all year. I'm also writing a short story for Petra "Grimm" Kerlienko, the sniper for Indy's group, "The Damned". If anyone wants to try their hand at drawing a picture of her for me, I'd love to commission ya for it. Just send a note and I'll give you her details.

I told you all it was happening, and here it is. I am in Iraq. A US Marine, serving overseas as a CBRN Incident Response Team member, supporting over 50% of the troops in Iraq. Currently, I am in charge of my units CBRN warehouse and inventory as well as issuing over 5000 items of equipment to units throughout Iraq. That is all I can disclose of my job to anyone. If you ask, you will not know anymore than that.

Now, as far as my time here in general, I can go ahead and say this. It's not a bad country. The people are nice (both Iraqi nationals and Third Country Nationals). They have a wealth of cultural knowledge I have been eking out of them as well as learning where them come from. The whether isn't too bad and I still have internet available to me, although I am 8 hours ahead of home.

To detail a little more, I have been to Amsterdam, Kuwait and now Iraq. I may have chances to go to other nations, like Syria, but that is neither here nor there. All I care about is saving my money, getting an education, and getting out the military in September 2010. As you can see by my mood, I am not very happy. So you can expect some dark writings and drawing as well. I have started a mural on my wall I am naming "Monument of the Damned". You can also expect a few WIP pictures of that every now and then, as well as pics I randomly take of the country.

As of now, while I sit here in my small closet of a room and type this, I grow weary of typing, and am off to instead sit lay down and mull over some thoughts of mine. I will keep posting at least weekly updates for you all to view and get an idea of what's going on in my life.
