Feeling a little...

I lost my job this past week. And I didn't get a real reason.
It's sort of upsetting and a little scary. I'm working hard to get a new job, but I'm afraid of not getting one before the first week in October...
And then what will happen to me? To Alastir?
The first thing my dad said to me when I told him? "Have you lost weight?" "Not much...?" "So, I guess the Army isn't an option then." "No...no, it isn't."
So, according to him, that leaves me fat, jobless and seriously close to having things become FUBARed.
But, I'm trying to look on the bright side of things! I'm a hireable, mid-twenties female with drive to make it in any job...despite past failed attempts.
I can do this.
...Right?

Post-Con, Pinks All Out, randomness

So, since Monday I've been feeling icky...then yesterday it got all kinds of worse and now I'm kinda sick. Sad times. I guess they call it Con Crud? Not sure, but I don't like it.
Pinks All Out is tomorrow and I really want to go. If I'm feeling better I think I will. Any of you guys going? I think it'll be a blast.
The Expendables and Scott Pilgram vs. The World comes out this weekend too...another thing I want to do if I'm feeling better...though I might wait til next weekend to go. Who wants to watch movies? w00t!
I got a room for FC! I'm so jazzed. It's one of the pricier ones (one bedroom suite), but that's okay. If I get a couple roommates it won't be so bad. Sorta sounds like I might have at least one, which is nifty. Apparently it overlooks the pool? The reservation lady made it sound nice. The room is booked from Jan. 11-Jan. 18th. It'll be a great vacation. Plus I'll have my new suit! All kinds of excited! *does the happy dance* Now once I figure out the mode of transportation (riding with Phor is still up in the air) we'll be all set...and by we I mean me.
Oh, also...I'm thinking of joining the Bally's near Alameda and Wads...anyone know anything about that gym? I have a pass thingus they came and gave us at the store. Haha, anyone want to join the gym with me? Just kidding...unless you wanna!
And yeah, that's about it.

I got to meet a lot of really cool people and play my first ever round of Beer Pong. That was exciting.

Posted 15 years agoI had a most awesome weekend! I got to spend time with people I only really see once a year. I got to see things that make me all sorts of happy and that I sometimes miss being a part of.
A friend of mine got me a new mask! I'm so enthused about it. That same friend also got me a new flowing skirt to wear with my corset. Double win. I also got to wear my corset and I looked hot with the corset, the new skirt, and the mask. I should of taken pictures. It was fun to dress up and be complimented. I have my eye on a new leather corset that one of the vendors at the convention had. I looked sexy as hell in that bit of leather, especially when it was cinched.
Metal Mayhem
Holy shit, dude. That show was awesome.
I got to see Chimera again, who did splendidly! Razi shook me a lot, so it was hard to focus, but I really rather enjoyed them.
Lamb of God was...okay...I honestly think they're cursed if I buy the tickets, next time I see them I'm not gonna pay for it, maybe nothing will happen.
Five Finger Death Punch...All Hail FFDP! That was a great set. Ivan was every where and doing the Rammstein headbanging (much like Arc tends to, haha). And they did Never Enough which is one of my favorite songs from them. I can't wait to see them as a headliner.
Rob Zombie fucking killed. I mean, seriously. I've been wanting to see him live for ages and I am so glad I finally got to. He is a show man, no doubt about it. He was all over that stage, flinging his dreads around. Glory be to the pyro that set the stage aflame at all the right moments. And he had videos and Zombie Girls. It was a beautiful thing. And while I may not be a beautiful hardcore girl, I did enjoy dancing in my own little world to his hard driving music. His encore was Dragula which he performed from a (maybe) ten foot tall skeletal podium. The crowd went nuts. Rob Zombie is the shit and I can't wait to see him again.
Of course, the whole reason I went was to see KoRn. My most favorite band ever. Unfortunately, the people I was with do not enjoy the musical stylings of KoRn and we had to leave after only a few songs. I do appreciate Razi putting a word in to get us to stay a little longer(at least I think he did, I'm not sure) but I was still sad when we had to leave.
I've come to the conclusion that if I really want to see my favorite bands (like Korn and Disturbed and The Cruxshadows), I should probably go on my own or at least drive myself.
Disturbed is going to be here in September and I am hella stoked to see them and Avenged Sevenfold again (who I saw together for the first time four years ago). I think I'll just take myself unless someone really wants to go with me. And I am definitely going to try and get a pit ticket or front row. No more lawn seat shenanigans for this girl.

So! Been reading...a lot. I think I've read over twenty-seven books in the last three weeks. That might be an excessive amount of literature consumption. Maybe I'll OD on words. The horror!
No new news on the computer situation. Though my best good buddy said he'd build me one once I got the parts...That makes me a happy girl. :D see?
I've been a little bored, some what happy, mostly silly and kind of wishy washy (I attribute that to the emotions of the books I've been reading...I really get into books and movies and such).
There really is no point to this journal...I'm just trying to touch base with you guys.

Man, I miss the internet sometimes.
But reading, it really lets me dream. I have inklings of what I want to do and how I can get to it...maybe. I hope. haha.
But, I'm uber excited. We're going to the Rock n' Roll Car show next Sunday! :D That'll be a good time I'm sure. I'm really looking forward to it.
If you're somewhat local, you should come out! Especially if you like cars.
Other than reading, working and sort of drawing, I haven't been up to much. I think I'll take myself out this weekend and meet some new folks. I'll have a little extra money, could be a grand time.

Being unavailable really lets you know who cares about you because they check up on you.
I may have only a couple close friends, but they don't ask me for much and they genuinely care about me. :)
Along that same strain, I have not heard from the people I thought were my really close, best friends in over a week and a half (and before that, I had to contact them). And while that is unfortunate, it really puts things in perspective.
Not to toot my own horn, but I am too nice a person to put up with people who don't give a damn about me, care about me or love me. I don't have to be around people who are going to just use me and toss me aside like I was some whore...to be quite frank.
This experience has been a real eye opener.
So, if you're my bud, feel free to text me...

Posted 15 years agoI know it's late but I was thinking about it. I'm feeling artistically stunted, but need to draw more.

Usually in the morning, it helps me wake up. Sometimes if I feel especially nasty I'll take one when I get home.
2 - Do you use liquid or bar soap?
I just got some nice smelling liquid soap :)
3 - Do you use shampoo and conditioner or just shampoo?
Both. Sometimes just conditioner on the off day (wash my hair every other day, or two days...it gets icky if I wash it every day)
4 - Do you brush your teeth in the shower?
Sometimes, if I'm in a hurry
5 - Do you shave in the shower?
Indeed!
6 - Do you sing in the shower?
I hum
7 - Do you use a washcloth?
I have a puffball!

Is a curtain with the Eiffel Tower on it.

I leaned out of the shower to take a call once

Oddly I never thought about that. I'd be scared to shower with a celebrity. I think Scarlett Johansen would be fun, or Robert Downey Jr

Danny Devito...He creeps me out

Definitely shampoo and conditioner. All else fails you could use shampoo as a soap for yer body.

But it reminds me. Celebrations! I'm still having one on the 30th. I figured that most people would be back from FC by now and you'll get a few days to cool down, gather your senses.
Here is the scoop:

I wanna be there around seven pm. I don't know how long we'll go. I just really want to hang out with you guys in a pretty spiffy atmosphere.
Bring whoever you like, just don't get crazy. You don't have to bring a present if you don't want to (though I would love a card :D). And yeah, mostly just come out and have fun.
Please don't let money be an issue. I know with the Con most people are strapped.

I miss you guys and I really look forward to seeing ya on Saturday. Lemme know if you're coming! :)

Posted 15 years agoWas just so amazing live! It was my first ever comedy show that I'd been to and it was just so much fun :D I laughed so much, I really needed that.
If you ever get the chance, you should go to a comedy show.
Also, Bayonetta is a great game to watch and looks like it is even more fun to play, check it out.

Birthday Thoughts!
Posted 15 years agoSo, my birthday is coming up...in about 18 days! (That's the 27th for the mathematically challenged haha).
Anyways, I know the weekend before is FC and no one will be around until the middle of the week. Considering that, I want to have some sort of gathering that weekend (On the 29th or the 30th) at Dave n' Busters or something like that.
Would anyone be interested? I just really want to do something fun for my birthday. :)
