Resolutions
Posted 15 years agoSo, after sleeping most of the day, I decided to put my resolutions somewhere. My goals for this year:
1) Lose the flubber. I know, everyone says that every year. I've actually started working on it. My friend Danyel and I have been working out at least thirty minutes every time I go to see her. I want to lose 55 pounds by May. I think that's attainable if I just focus and tweek my diet. Less soda, less candy, less fries...stuff of that nature. Not cutting it out completely but eating less of it.
2) I want to move out of this house by March. Either alone or with Razi, we'll see what happens. But, it's been almost a year and it was never supposed to be permanent. I love these guys, but it's definitely time to change it up, time for me/us to move out. However it should go. I can't wait to have my kitty back.
3) I have an immediate resolution to clean this room up so I can draw. It's gotten very messy since I got back from Florida and I have lacked the motivation to clean it. But, I can't draw in a dirty room.
4) Be less of the recluse that I have become. I hate being lonely and I am not enjoying staying home on important dates...like New Years. So, even though I have already started looking for new people to hang out with (I have a general frustration with most of the local furry community), I am going to continue that search.
5) Have a better Birthday than last year. That's right, my birthday is at the end of this month and I am *not* going to have the same one as last year. It was upsetting for me. I want at least one present from a friend. I don't think that is too much to ask, it doesn't even have to be bought. Make it! That would be awesome. I give birthday and Christmas gifts all the time. If I can do it, they can do it.
6) Not care so damn much. That's right, I don't care anymore (I say that, but it's not true, I still care...that's why it hurts). I've been treated like shit for the past couple years and I am tired of it. Not universally, but a good handful of people have treated me like the dirt under their shoes despite my giving and caring nature. Even when people say they're gonna treat you better cause you are such a good friend, they don't.
7) I want to travel! I want to go see TNA Wrestling in Orlando, I want to go to the Beach, I want to go to a Con or two (like the Power Rangers Morphicon and AC...or something, I dunno). I want to go to the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
8)Finally get back into school. It's been a struggle, but I'm almost there. Will it be Forensics or Biological Engineering...who knows?
9) Get an XBox 360. If I end up going out into the world on my own *shudder* I'ma need one. I have like three games and no xbox. And if I'ma be on my own, I will need the entertainment.
I think that's a good start.

Bah Humbug haha
Posted 15 years agoSo, it seems a lot of people have done their 'Merry Christmas, I got this that and the other' posts. I figured I'd jump on the tail end of the bandwagon.
I'd wager that this Christmas, despite minor drawbacks, was much better than last year. I mean...I actually got presents! The family I live with got me some girly stuff, and a Giant polar bear and Terminator 2. I didn't get any presents from my friends...which can be disappointing, but I didn't get anything from them last year either (Though Kiasha and I will do a gift exchange when she gets back, I'm excited! You know, she was the only person to ask me what I wanted for Christmas? She's a sweetheart). It's okay, I got to give people stuff which really made my holiday. They all seemed so happy to receive something. It was kute.
We went and saw Sherlock Holmes! That movie was completely badass. I loved it. I want it. I might see it again. It was so good. That was definitely the highlight of the holiday. I almost felt bad for the movie theatre kids, but they were probably making time and a half.
Oh! And getting to see Nuri and Fusion. That was pretty cool, it was weird seeing other furs after so long, but it was kool. I missed them. They brought Razi Nuri's tablet that she wasn't using. It looks pretty awesome and seems to work really well, plus it's huge! I believe he posted a picture of it or something.
I guess is the part of the Holidays where one starts thinking of New Year's Resolutions. Goals for the year and all of that. I have a couple already, one I already started on with a new friend of mine and a couple others that should be attainable before March...if all goes according to my evil plan muhahaha. Well, it's actually a plan for the betterment of all involved, if one chooses to be involved.
I've started work on some none furry, or half and half pieces and am itching to bust out my poster paper for some spectacular drawings. Well, to me anyway. We'll see how they come out.
And yeah, that's my holiday report.

Wandering Wonderings
Posted 15 years agoAs I was flying back to Denver from Dallas...I thought to myself...I really love to fly. Love it. I rather enjoy airports as well. They are great places to people watch and people fantasize. I love to make up stories about their lives, or about what they're thinking and the people they're with. And I wonder, briefly, if any of them would be doing that with me, making up stories about my life.
Anyways, back to flying...which is awesome. I was completely absorbed in my little window. It was amazing to see on one side where it was complete darkness and on the other there was still sun and light. It is also interesting to me about how I would either be flying to or away from from the darkness overtaking the land, depending on the coast I was rushing towards. Clouds amuse me, capture my imagination. They are so versatile...which I imagine is obvious about clouds. I love when a plane flies into them and you are surrounded by white fluffiness. I love looking down at the patchwork of the ground and trying to figure out where I am based on the patterns.
I had a very relaxing trip. I played with the dogs and chilled with the cats. I got to see Avatar which was Five Kinds of Awesome! I recommend it. Except for a couple draw backs, I really rather enjoyed my time away. It was really what I needed to clear my head to get back in the game of life! Or something of that nature. I did a lot of thinking since I was on my own a lot. A lot of 'what ifs' and 'will that work?' and 'how can I save this' and things of that nature. And I slept. I did some major napping in front of the TV. It was great. I also got new clothes for Christmas which seem to be a big hit with the locals haha.
I got a Welcome Back that I didn't expect but rather enjoyed. It's nice to feel...spiffy.:) I feel beyond good right now. I'm sure that'll go away sometime soon, but right now I'm enjoying it. We went and saw Ninja Assassin last night. I thought it was interesting...and the main Ninja was extremely sessy (by majority vote). Oh yesh, I did enjoy his manliness. I don't know if I would recommend it for theaters, but you should definitely find a way to see it at some point in your very busy life.
I think I will start posting again here soon. I have some ideas for drawings...I just haven't gotten properly motivated to draw them yet. :)

Tales from The Wanderer
Posted 16 years agoHaha, yes, I have a name for myself. Sometimes I think of that Johnny Cash song...If you don't know it you should look it up. It's haunting.
Anyways! Some notes about my trip thus far.
Flying will always amaze me. It is all so fast, just a few hours and you are where you want to be. Everything on the ground is patchwork, the waters vary in colour from the murkiest brown to the clearest brightest blue and it undulates like a snake making it's way. I always get a window seat, I love to watch the world go by.
There was one I was flying and I felt like I could reach out and touch the moon as it drifted across the sky.
The nights out here are so incredibly dark. I was telling someone, Kiasha I believe, that I could not see past my hand. That I was bumping into things in the complete darkness of the night. How different it was from the city like area that we live in out west. It was so peaceful. I haven't slept so well in a long time.
I think I'll go for a walk with the wolfe dog tomorrow. It's just so nice out here.

You are now free to move about the cabin
Posted 16 years agoSo I was on a plane to Miami today and I saw something awesome.
We were flying over a storm, the sky below us was a sea of white fluffyness. It was lovely. Slowly a cloud bubble started to rise out of that see, at first a small formation then it got bigger. As it got bigger it started to glow. I realized that I was watching a lightning cloud form! It was beautiful how the lightning flashed inside that cloud.
I just wanted to share.

Today!
Posted 16 years agoToday I miss... My scanner and my Camera. If I can get batteries, my camera will be fine. However, the scanner is in storage.
Why do I miss these things today? Because I want to post this picture I did, but I feel would be disrespectful to scan in front of the Mom of the house and I don't want to bother anyone for their scanner. Plus my paper is probably too large for said scanner.

10 Things I Hate About You
Posted 16 years agoI love this movie. It's a complete chick flick, but I love it to death. The premise and story line is just amazing. It makes me laugh but it also gets to me and I tear up a little towards the end every time.
I think the following is just one of the best means of expression ever. I've felt like this a few times and I'm sure everyone has. This is Kat's Shakespeare assignment.
I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme.
I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you.
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.
(Please for the love of all that is forsaken in this world, do not message me all butthurt thinking this is about you. It isn't about anyone, I just *love* this movie and this is my favorite quote ever...well out side of Labyrinth's "Your eyes can be so cruel.")

Kentucky Fried Tekken!
Posted 16 years ago(Title taken by Razi's current desktop http://th06.deviantart.net/fs18/300.....ost_tyrant.jpg )
So we got the long awaited (for Razi) Tekken 6 today. And while I haven't played it (I'm not a very good fighter game person...though I did somewhat decently in Raw vs Smackdown :D), it is a lot of fun to watch. I am loving Anna Williams, Armor King and King. Man, I'm really glad we got this game, I'm just enjoying it.

Vault 13
Posted 16 years agoSo, this has been quite the month.
We kicked it off by going to see Dethklok. The concert wasn't the best, but Dethklok absolutely killed. It was awesome to watch the cartoon videos and to see the guy who does all the voices.
Then I got the game "Brutal Legend." Hell yeah! This game is great! This was the first game I ever bought the *day* it came out.
The music is epic and actually fits most of the situations you get into, the stage fights are challenging and involving. I love it. Razi has already beaten it, I'm having trouble with the last boss...but I'll get 'em again eventually. This game is just wicked, you really got to play it.
Saw a great movie! You should check out "Law Abiding Citizen." That was intense. We also got to see Zombieland which was Hilarious...and Zombie Kill of the Week should totally be a game! That would be awesome.
Got nearly free tickets to All That Remains this past week. That concert was facemelting! There were a slew of great bands: Taking Dawn, Maylene and the Sons of Anarchy, Lacuna Coil and All That Remains. It was so relieving to just be able to throw my hair around and feel the music. God, Headbanging is Awesome.
Oh and a couple days ago we got Borderlands for the win! I watched Razi play it for a bit while I was discovering the awesome that is Fallout 2 on the PC (Now that I am getting the hang of the way it works, it's so much fun! I still love FO3 more though....and the whole PC thing makes me miss AutoSave, haha). Then last night I got into it (read, the night before last). I chose the Hunter and worked my way up to Level four :D Then Razi joined me and I played my first ever co-op game! It was a hella good time. Though, the whole split screen thing is hard to get used to. But the guns are mad crazy, the snipers do a shitload of damage and there is this shotgun that sends out a wave of damage and my character has a bird that attacks enemies and Razi's character goes fucking nuts in berserk-er mode...it's scary! Man, I love games that make you want to stay up all night playing them. I'm not the best person to co-op with...yet haha. I apparently have a tendency to looking down, and that whole sprinting thing doesn't always work for me. But, I'm getting it. I'm so excited to play more.
I have a friend at work who says she plays on [xbox]live a lot and that we should play a game together like that. I don't have live...but I wonder what it would be like to have an account and play with my friends who have it. Hmm.
I have been sketching! (to get back to the whole purpose of this site). I even finished my very first badge(I'm actually really proud of it)! Nuri said she'd let me borrow her laminator (not a word?) to do the whole plastic cover thing. Yay! I'll get around to posting it eventually. I got some ideas for drawings, but truly I lack the motivation (stupid work). I'll get back into it soon and I'll post some stuff.
And yeah...that's something of an update for those who are interested. :D
(fyi, I've been hording this journal for about two days...we need a save draft system! haha)
