Now then, I'll make this quick. Due to various reasons, I'm afraid this was my last planned contest, at least this year. I'm not in serious trouble, but I do need to adjust my financial approach this year. This means cutting back on art purchases (the occasional bonuses aside) and working to pay off a credit card debt I accrued while investing in software. Hopefully said software will be a good investment and pay for itself in the future, one way or the other.

Until then, I don't have any plans to run any more giveaways this year. Believe me, no one is more upset about this than I am; I would run these every week if I could. I had a lot of interesting guesses last month. You guys are definitely better that remembering celebrity names than I am! In any case, one guy finally figured out the right person once he had all five clues. won himself $10 through Steam, already delivered as I post this.

So, which American celebrity does Kevin sound like? None other than... Weird Al Yankovic! Yeah, I'm kind of a dork like that, but I do like Weird Al. Not only are his songs funny and easy to understand because he actually makes sure you can hear him over the music, but throughout his long career, he's never done anything to embarrass or debase himself. In case you haven't heard, the SNES classic Seiken Densetsu 3 is getting a 3D remake called Trials of Mana, which is set to release this April 24th. There's a demo out in case you want to give it a little try (covers the prologue and the first chapter, and you can transfer your saves to the main game once it's out).

So here's the deal: I thought of a new character, a female friend of Jackie since her college days.

Problem is, I can't figure out what species she should be!

That's where you, dear reader, come in. I created a straw poll, which I will link at the bottom of this journal, and I'll like you to vote based on whatever you like the best, with the short bio I came up with so far. I'll probably keep the link around for about two weeks or so, about as long until votes die down.

Name: Alice Bobbi Copper

Alice was always a big girl growing up and a rowdy tomboy to boot. Despite her large appetite, she enjoyed outdoorsy activities and sports during her school years. She got interested in the idea of getting into law enforcement during late high school and went to college to earn her degree in Criminal Justice. She had a few classes with then exchange student Jacqueline Tompkins, the two did some projects together and quickly became fast friends due to their similar interests (or lack thereof given their less feminine natures). They kept in touch as much as they could after college, but Alice going to the police academy and working as an official police officer kept her busy.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck most timelines she exists in. Much like most versions of Jackie owns a video game company, most versions of Alice got seriously injured when chasing down a perp that laid a trap for her and severely injured her legs. She eventually regained use of them for the most part, but not enough to be able to work on active duty. She got reassigned desk duty and these days works as a dispatcher.

Given her already large appetite, her now reduced activity, and a brief bout of depression when adjusting to healing from her injuries, it didn't take long for Alice's weight to skyrocket. She was always on the larger side, but she quickly went from fat to morbidly obese.

Overall, Alice is okay where her life has taken her. She did good work as a beat cop, still does good work as a dispatcher, and she doesn't really care what anyone might say about her. As an unrepentant glutton, Alice isn't a very picky eater and will eat pretty much anything and likes to drink a couple of beers on the weekend or at get-togethers. She likes action movies and plays mostly first-person shooters, but she'll always at least tries the stuff that Jackie's company puts out, even if they're usually not her favorite kind of game. Alice has a thick skin, a tongue that is equally sharp and blunt, and always speaks her mind, no matter who might be listening. She might come across as tactless at times, but deep down she's a good person at heart.

That's most that I can think of right now (I kept dozing at my chair while typing this, so I'll probably think more later) but this is the most important stuff for now.

Wanted to wait a few days before making this journal, since I just announced the winners of the contest in the last one.

Anyways, for the remainder of this week, I'm going to finally begin uploading the pictures I have of Jackie, a name that has its own folder but has been empty for a very long time. I'll start with some of her more outdated pictures (which will be marked as such and be placed in scraps) and eventually upload her current reference sheet and most recent pictures (which will be in the main gallery proper).
