Because I am a Slowpoke, I've never fully played through the original Half Life. I think my experience in the game is about an hour's worth, tops, even though I've completed HL2. I decided to give it another go today when the strangest thing happened.

For reasons unknown, the game accessed my computer's disk drive, which had a music CD in it at the time. It then began to play a random track! Here is the most accurate portrayal of the experience I can muster. Pay no mind to the video on the left. It is literally the only vid on youtube that contains the track that played in my game:

As told by my boyfriend, Tim Hortons now offers a vanilla-flavoured latte that tastes like you're drinking cake. After work last night I decided to grab one to see if it was true and by gum, VANILLA CAKE! It tastes pretty awesome, but extremely sugary. This is mostly a rant. Skip it if you want to but I feel getting this out would help

My dad got angry with me today, and it hasn't been the first time. He was frustrated with the fact that I started work earlier than usual today so he wouldn't have time to make supper for all of us. I told him he didn's have to make supper for me, just worry about mom and himself. I can feed myself, and get to work on my own. For some reason he didn't want to and just got mad. I can understand that he's frustrated with the fact that he just got off work and how needs to make dinner for "us". I've told him many times that if he told me what he wanted, I could do it for him since I come home from classes before he does. Every time he doesn't listen and I just don't understand.

Stuff like this has happened before, and lately it's been making me feel like a huge burden on him. I do all the chores I can, pay rent to him, and am able to take myself anywhere around town without his help so I guess it's just my emotions messing with me. I wish I knew what to tell him

I can't go into specifics here (though you'll likely find out soon enough), but I just managed to smuggle in something I've desired for YEARS into my house without rousing suspicions of the parental units. NO it's not illegal, or dangerous. It's just something the average person wouldn't really "get", but... HNNG. My hands are shaking. Feels good man.

Movie night yay! Tonight I'll be playing (subbed) The Borrower Arrietty, Studio Ghibli's newest film. It's much more subdued than the typical Ghibli movie, but the scenery is gorgeous, as well as the music. It's a lovely little story with a bittersweet ending.

Even though I watched this movie for the first time last month, I found it so enjoyable I wanna watch it again!

Ed Wood is a 1994 American comedy-drama biopic directed and produced by Tim Burton, and starring Johnny Depp as cult filmmaker Edward D. Wood, Jr. The film concerns the period in Wood's life when he made his best-known films as well as his relationship with actor Bela Lugosi, played by Martin Landau. Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, Lisa Marie Smith, and Bill Murray are among the supporting cast.

Oh lordy... there's an insane amount of wind goin' on out there. I've been in this area of the country all my life and I've never experienced gusts this strong. Shingles are flying off people's houses, trees are ripped right out of the ground and power is out in some spots around the city. It was... fun... walking home today...

The weather report said gusts are expected to reach and exceed 100 km/h today, and after being out there I believe it.

...Soooo... to all my friends who regularly chat with me:
If I vanish for a few days, the worst case scenario is that our power's been knocked out too. I'll be fine, just bored with no internets or vidya games lol :C
