IFC 2017-I Love the 80's
General | Posted 9 years agoThat's right guys, Indyfurcon returns once again in 2017 for another amazing, fun filled weekend packed full of programming, friends, and the occasional drunken ferret.
This year, we've chosen "I Love the 80's" as our theme, so break out those parachute pants and rubiks cubes, and lets go back to a decade of greatness.
Our guests of honor for iFC 2017 are Xander the Blue, and Doryuu.
We return for our 3rd year at the Marriott Indianapolis East, from August 11th through August 13th, 2017
While we may not have cars this year (Cue sad music), we do have some amazing things in store for you. Yes, we already do. Yes, I'm aware it's before MFF. No, I don't care :D This is a year round job for you guys. You're lucky we love you <3

For those of you at Closing Ceremonies back in August, we announced we would be having our 2016 convention on the weekend of August 19th at the Marriott Indianapolis East. Turns out that is partly correct. We are returning to the Marriott Indianapolis East, but it is going to be one week later than originally stated (August 26th- August 28th). We have confirmed with the guests that we had announced - Rhubarb the Bear and Orlando Fox - that they are able to attend on that weekend. Given the growth that we experienced this year, as well as growth we expect next year, we feel this temporary date change is in iFC's best interests.
Room booking information will be coming soon, and there will be rooms available in an IndyFurCon block at both the Marriott and the LaQuinta next door. If you have any questions or comments, please drop us an email at: Board[at]indyfurcon.com

The hotel cannot extend the con block any more :( That's it! Block is full full full.
There may be rooms available outside the block if you call the hotel directly 317 352 1231 or there is the Laquinta next door that may have rooms available

Also - if you have a room reserved already but want to upgrade to a suite - the 6th floor has suites that all connect along one side of the hallway - for an additional fee they can upgrade you to these rooms. You need to call the hotel to get the upgraded rooms - and if you have someone else who is upgrading you want to be "beside" on the 6th floor make sure to mention the name of the other booker so they can note that when assigning rooms.

Gearing up for iFC2015

Sorry if we've been quiet here but we've been working hard behind the scenes to get iFC2015 up and going.
We are super excited about this year. There will be some cool new things coming to the con this year, which we will be telling you all about..... SOON!
Hopefully there will be some big announcements coming over the next few weeks - so keep and eye out here, on our facebook, or on our twitter!

iFC2014 Dance Comp Vids!

If you were a dancer and i didn't mention you by name it's because i didn't want to butcher the spelling (it's pandez here.. yes i'm a derp sorry!!)

THANKS TO ALL THE DANCERS WHO PARTICIPATED !!!
Thanks to Ronnie who helped me organize it, Sozan and Haku who were Ronnie's fellow judges, and to ShyBunny who, despite not being able to make it out due to work conflicts (*shakefist at Labor Day weekend this year*) was a huge influence on me having the confidence to put this together and that there would be people wanting to come to and perform at iFC - thanks Shy!
I'm sorry we haven't gotten a "convention wrapup" post yet but i promise there WILL be with all the tantelizing details of 2014's wrapup and some stuff we have in store for 2015 - including our date change OFF LABOR DAY WEEKEND (yay!) and the NEW HOTEL(s)....
And with that little (s) to leave you going WAIT WHAT??? I shall say...

Rooms at the Sheraton / Indyfurcon Dance contest
General | Posted 11 years agoThe Sheraton just had a couple of openings from cancellations not in our block!
if you want a double-bed room there's a few available as of the posting as of this journal!
If you had previously booked a king with pullout couch you can call the hotel directly and get it changed over while quantities last!!
And if you haven't booked yet - YOU HAVE UNTIL TUESDAY JULY 29th if you want the con rate of $99 per night!!!

The dance contest information is being finalized over the next few days (after some consultation with some dancer furs in the fandom).
As soon as it's postable (ie not completely RIDDLED WITH TYPOS PANDEZ *glares*) the information will be up here / on the website / on Facebook / on twitter!
Programming information should also be forthcoming soon-ish as well.
As always, if there are any questions hit us up (pandez@indyfurcon.com - he'll pass it along if it's not his dept) and we hope to make this years Indyfurcon a year to remember!

Hotel Rooms - Important Notice!
General | Posted 11 years agoLadies and Gentlefurs - If you are attempting to book your room at the hotel please note they are now out of double rooms! You will have to book a King bed with pull-out couch! You can try contacting the hotel directly to see if there is a waiting list for double-bed rooms in case any open up but that seems unlikely at this time! The hotel is filling up fast (with our guests AND others) so book that room ASAP! Con rate goes away in just a few short days!!!
