Yeah yeah, everyone makes them and nobody sticks to them. Well I'm the opposite - I never make them, but I will this year and I'll try to follow them, because my resolution ideas are things that I enjoy doing but have slacked off from doing lately.

1. Go to Planet Fitness at least three days a week. I already have a membership, so if I don't go, that's $10 a month being wasted. I'm paying for it so I may as well be paying for a reason. And that reason should be working towards a healthier me! Right now I work only two days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, so a Monday-Wednesday-Friday workout schedule shouldn't be too much trouble. And that leaves my weekends free to do the next resolution.

2. Watch at least two movies a week I've never seen before. I love movies, and a few months ago I got the idea to make a list of every movie I've ever seen. There are probably movies out there that I've seen that are not on my list, but so far I have over 650 movies. I'd like to get to 750 within this new year, so two new movies a week would get me there. One movie on Saturday and one on Sunday should be simple enough.

3. Start reading a new book and finish it within a month, each month. This will be the challenging one. I really like reading but I have not read any new books in quite some time. I regret that, so I want to fix it. I was going to make it "finish a new book each week," but I know I'd fail that. I'm not a fast reader, and since I have ADD I would forget things if I read too quickly. One a month would allow me to read at a comfortable pace.

And in the title of this journal I said you can help, and you really can! So if you would please, reply with your favorite movie and your favorite book! If they seem interesting to me, I will put them on my "To Watch" and "To Read" lists. My "To Watch" movie list is already over 50 movies long, but I'll need 100 to meet my resolution. And my "To Read" book list is at, umm... zero. So please help!

Everyone out there probably has what they consider their "favorite song". I do as well, although that song has changed a few times over the past few years. I suspect maybe that's happened to other people too. So in an effort to share what you guys think is great music, I think it would be fun to have you guys think up your top five favorite songs. My Top Five Favorite Songs:

Intensely Beautiful and Strange - Travis Ratledge - Here's a song I'll bet not many of you have heard. This is a song by the furry fandom's own Travis Ratledge, better known as Colson, collaborator with the one and only Fox Amoore. This song was included on "Fire Killer", the limited release album by those two musician. I'm a sucker for love songs and duets, and this song hits both of those soft spots of mine. I think it's a gorgeous track, and is currently what I consider my favorite song.

We Are More - Erin McKeown - The first of only two "mainstream" artists on my list, but is probably still obscure enough that her name is not likely to be easily recognized. I can't even remember how I found out about Erin McKeown, probably through Pandora, but regardless, she's a multi-talented artist who has written songs that span a number of genres. This song in particular speaks to me in a way that I can't quite pin down. It's just such a happy song with an uplifting message that I simply can't not enjoy it every time I play it.

From the Rain - D.C. Simpson - Let's bring it down a notch with this next song. This is another track by a member of our very own fandom, D.C. Simpson, whom some might recognize as the artist behind the popular comic "Ozy and Millie". This song has a bit of a sadder tone to it, but still has an uplifting message hidden in there. I particularly like this track because it starts out very simple - just an acoustic guitar and a single vocal track. But not far into the lyrics, D.C. Simpson doubles the vocals and you hear him singing both the melody and harmony, sort of like he's singing a duet with himself. I think that's clever, and as I mentioned above, I like duets.

Those Who Remain - Kow Otani - This may or may not be considered a "mainstream" artist. I'm going to categorize this as not mainstream for the purpose of this list, but in no way do I mean to use that to speak ill of this song. This is the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard in a video game. This is the song that plays during the credits of my favorite video game, Shadow of the Colossus. If you haven't played that game before, do yourself a favor and play it, you won't regret it. Playing this song over the credits of that incredible game was a choice I can only call perfect. During the credits you get to look over everything you've done in the game, and I don't think there was a better way to drive up the emotions that well up inside of you when you see just what you caused to happen to the world by your own two hands.

Little Talks - Of Monsters and Men - Wrapping up my list is the most "mainstream" of all the tracks. Of Monsters and Men is the mainstream band I'm listening to the most right now, and I don't listen to very many mainstream bands at all. There's actually not a whole lot for me to say about this song, as I am willing to wager that pretty much everyone who sees this journal has probably heard this song. It's a duet of sorts, the music video kicks ass, it's just cool.

When I went to RMFC in 2014, that con marked a few firsts for me. Similarly, MFF 2015 will be noteworthy for me for a few reasons.

MFF 2015 will be:
-My 19th fur con
-My 9th MFF
-My first MFF since 2007 in which I did not make a hotel reservation
-My first MFF since 2009 in which I will be bringing along my fursuit (but most likely will not be in the fursuit parade)

Body type: Anthro bird for the most part, but the ends of his limbs show off a bit the spattering of dragon in his family tree. Anthro arms, so his bird wings are on his back, again due in part to his dragon heritage.

Basic Background History: A recently adopted character who did not come with a backstory. So let's see what I can come up with. A playful bird from a family in Australia who felt the urge to travel away from home in search of a life in the mountainous woods, perhaps inspired to travel by his dragon heritage. The high, snowy altitudes suit him well - the thick brush full of mistletoe leaves and berries providing excellent camouflage against his red-and-green accented feathers.

Not the best commercial ever, nor it a particularly amazing product it's endorsing, but it's cute and the animation is really nice. Just thought I'd share.

Personal injury. I broke my arm when I was 13. I never want to go through that much pain ever again.

Cold weather is best! It's a lot easier to warm yourself up than cool yourself down. And I don't like feeling really warm.

Went back to sleep because I was still tired.

Yeah, twice that I can remember (not counting tooth x-rays at the dentist) - when I broke my arm, and at my first visit to the chiropractor to see just how bad my back was screwed up.
