All I can do now is code... I did meet with my family but it was...well, weird. Its hot here in germany actually. 12°C is _not_ a temperature to feel the chrismas eve for. So I feel kinda bummed out. I mean, birdy didn't even get an xmas blowjob! Dx shucks...

Boy. My last dozen days were like

- Wake up
- Grab laptop
- Go on GitHub
- Reply to issue tickets on other things
- Check on updates of used projects
- Fire up editor
- Start BIRD3 server
- CODE. CODE. CODE.
- Eat a cheeseburger.
- CODE. CODE. CODE.
- Nap on desk.
- CODE. CODE. CODE.
- Eat something else.
- CODE. CODE. CO- pass out and sleep.
- Wake up on desk. Wobble to bed, undress, FLOP. Sleep.

Therefore I have laid out about 20 commits a day. BIRD3 is going on a fast pace, and so are it's dependencies and 3rdparty libraries. Its insane. It's like if an artist got swallowed whole by the work ethics of a workaholic and wouldn't do anything without doing a scribble meanwhile. I swear, that is intense as fuck! XD

So, yeah. Things are shaping, code is working, developers are helping, and my birthday is inching in.

Due to current life circumstances I will be alone here while day and night come. My birthday, new year, allt hat stuff. Except for the 24th - xmas day in Germany - I will be gone to my parents for a change. Otherwise I am very limited in my actions... so feel free to hit me up on skype or the Inn if you wanna hang out.

I don't have many steam games, so I am mostly gonna play a borrowed copy of Tales Of Graces F for PS3. ^^

So, I basically have taken an unintended break from FA.

My mind has returned to coding. Those following me on Github PROBABLY noticed XD My acitvity calendar on GH is insanely green, for a student like me.

Oh, speaking of student... well, i almost got kicked out. Appearently, I sleep in too much, am delayed too often and, get this, don't act nice towards my dorm parent-

What the fuck!

- I have dramatically changed my behaviour regarding sleep and schedule related things. I have improved almost by a whole hundred percent.
- My dorm is supposedly not related to my education and schooling. Guess what, that was a big and stinking lie to my face from the start.

So, the dude who owns the school and education grunds, almost kicked me out. He is giving me one teeny tiny chance. If I fuck up one more time, I am out. Basically...big bosses demonstating their big powers to tiny people.

He sat in front of me with crossed arms and he wasnt alone either. The dude responsible for my part of schooling was there too. So, it was a 2 vs 1. The fuck.

Oh, it gets better. As a student, you don't have a right. So, whenever I was about to let out a statement or rebuttal, they cut me off... So, yeah.

I dont know, sometimes humans are like, if their dong didnt get pleased a morning, they misplease everyone else. Im totally annoyed.

Good thing is, on 30th of this month, its my birthday! So I am very mixed, feels-wise...

It appears the service team of my ISP finally came down and actually fixed things. PHEW. Was about time.

Internet access has been restored, our landline works once again. ^_^

So...since almost a week now, the dormitory internet is deadly dead dead. Router blinks like its happy, although the actual landline connection seems dead. Swapped out the boxes and cables and everything, seems to be all dead. Fudge. :I

So I have been silent lately, but that has reasons...

Code has been eating my time, as well as the Dragon's Inn. Some problems had occured there that were not all that nice - but, that is probably the more annoying part of being an administrator there. Whatever.

But also, I have had people over here. Some pretty cute girls also! School also starts next week and I am moving back into a dorm.

So there will be less bird, but dont worry i am still going to see all yer awesome arts and making sure I get to commish you guys too! ^^nAfter all, that is the best way to support you. o.o

When you thought that actually coding is just typing weird brachets and parentheses into an editor - then you have been wrong. x)

Today, I revisited my environment around my BIRD3 project. That means:

- Database contents
- Testing data
- Facebook connection
- Contributors
- Convenience programs

And NONE of that is about coding. I am sort of exhausted, because there is always one more point to all of that... and that is:

- Research.

Without taking proper research, you are not gonna go anywhere. It is like - at least partially - the process of creating a painting, or generally a piece of art. You first look for references - or get them from the client - and then you begin to make a rough sketch, go from there to inks, do corrections int he process, and go further to stuff like flats. But most importantly, you msut know what you are drawing. For instance: Anatomy, effects of lights casting of shadows. And for me? If I don't keep an eye on my documentation, code updates on 3rd-party code or even on my own style, I will eventually screw up.

That is why coding is not always coding. Here is what I did today, in detail.

In order to be able to update the database across maschines (aka. "clusters") I need to integrate into a system that works around. That is called "database migrations". Those are scripts that update or downgrade a database. So when my code has a changed requirement, then I have to also update my set of migrations. When I am on my server then, I can bring the maschine "up to date" to my current set of configurations.

Doing this, I had to do a research on which was the best option go to for. It turned out that the framework, Yii, that I was using, had a pretty advanced migration mechanism! So I am starting to put my head into that things documentations. Gonna...take...a while. o.o

Then, i found a service to link my Github stuff to Facebook. So whenever I do a major update, it is replicated on the facebook page. Which is: http://facebook.com/DragonsInn . Setting up the service required some wiring back and forth - which also involved brainwork. So, whenever I am about done with a tiny update, I have to consider if it is worth for the public or not - and, if it is worth uplading it at all. Did you know that sometimes developers are breaking their brains over the decision about updating or uploading an update? x)

Now, I have invited  taala,  aria_leon and others to join the project. Taala will be responsible for a custom webfont called Birdcons. I have yet to finalize and compile the icons I want from her. These are going to be vector graphics in SVG format that I can then compile into a single font.

And last but not least, testing data. I have to make that too, so I can make sure the users are getting the best of the best x3. Its funny making mockup profiles...^^. Yes, I have taken prominent people and borked them. =p Aaaah, good that THAT stuff is private.

So yeah, a small snippet of my coding experience. But really, I should go back to the code itself now. My environment seems set, so I just have to migrate to the migrations, write them, and once that stuff is up to date, back to the code itself! ^^

There was a friend of  taala once, that drew one set of ultra amazing and sexy pinups. Like, really good ones. And this artist got stuck in my mind and i just haven't had any luck on getting a commish from her.

So, after months of not being here and in the world of code instead, i just returned. And I was very well surprised by the numbers i saw. XD

So I am going to clean my FA of the unread messages and stuff and upload new art too. There is 5 pictures I gotta show you guys.

So yeah, birdy is semi-back, since my projects still aren't at a good point, but I feel like I should do more on my FA again.

... especially SINCE I PASSED MY FINAL EXAMS!!!!!!!!! I feel like a baus, yo.

Oh my god... these weeks - this is the fourth now - are really getting on my nerves. It all started with a simple cold, then it got to be a serious flu. Then I had a week where I was pretty sleepy, but I still was capable of being in class. But this week, I figured out that I got a bladder infection. I totally needed that... x.x;

I have a new icon from  taala and its pretty lovely. :3 I probably will be going back and forth between the Burgerbird and this one for a while x3

Decided to polish it a little :3

Hey.

So for the past few weeks - months, years...for a very long time at least - I have been working on a new version of my current site. But the logo used there - drawn by  taala - wont fit very well with the new format of the site. And in fact, I am still thinking about the actual page format itself. So I need a bit of artist help.

To be exact: I need arts for:
- A new logo / icon
- Small icons for online services and such
- A logo / icon for myself as Ingwie Phoenix and my company "Ingwie I/O".

Here are my questions:
- Do you know of/are you an artist that is good at/wants to try logo designing?
- I need some basic help with my design, and some artistic insights and hints would be very, very useful.
