Suit Component Goals
Posted 10 years agoSo I have 3 suits I wish to make. Below they appear in order of greatest want to least, with each material and possible links below it.
I will accept donations for these and everyone who does will be added to my "random art example subjects" list and will receive random pieces of art when a new commission type is added! You may opt out of this part if you wish!
Please do not post here as this is a reference for me to find the links back to the right materials, and to keep track of what I have and what I still need.

Requesting Help
Posted 10 years agoDue to some outstanding previous bills our roommate had, paying more for rent than we'd originally expected, and not working as much as we needed because of moving, we are in need of a bit of financial help.
There are a number of things we could use help with, but below is the list in the order in which money received will be used for.
Rent - $200 - We are behind on August's rent. We'll have enough for September a bit late, but we can't pay both. My mate and I have already put $600 into this place and our other roommates can't pay any more either.
Phone - $25 - My family are all medically complicated and so it's imperative I keep in contact with them. Can't do it without a phone.
Vet Bills - We have a brand new, adopted from the streets cat that we need to get checked out. We have no idea how much we'll need if anything. This will be updated when we know or at least have an estimate of how much it'll be.
Willing to do art in exchange!

I am sorry that it isn't but I've found the reason, and that is that you deserve better than I feel I can give you. My art style isn't quite good enough to do you and your character justice. I ask that you forgive me for taking so long for this purpose, and sincerely hope you will like the final product! I love you hon and don't you ever forget it!

Advice Request and Art Trades Discussion!
Posted 10 years agoSo when it comes to advice, I need help deciding which tablet and/or pressure sensitive stylus to get. If you know what's good, please let me know! Thank you!
As for the art trades, I need more art of both of my characters so I'm offering trades for similar art pieces. Digital for digital, traditional for traditional, quality is in the eye of the beholder and it's the artists' condition to not feel like what they do is good enough. So for all that, no trades will be turned away! Bartering is definitely possible if the interest is there!
Willing to do many different types of art including both SFW and NSFW. Just ask!

Requests - If you've placed a request with me that has not been fulfilled, send me a message with what it was and I will give you a set date when it will be done. If you would like to make a request, there will be an update when they are open again.
Commissions - If you paid me for a commission, send me a message with all of the information for it (including how much you sent me) and I will get it done within 3 days after receiving your message. If you wish to commission me, there will be an update when they're open again.
Follower Perks - Anyone who is following me currently will receive a special little piece of art, starting from the A's and moving through, doing one every day until all of my followers have a picture from me. There will be no standards, guarantees, or negotiations for these, they will all be SFW and when they are done, they are yours to do with as you wish. (If I find any of them with the signature removed or changed, I will take legal action)

Anyone who un-follows me before the 31st WILL NOT BE INCLUDED!
Anyone who begins following me before the 31st, Will be included!
The only problem I have with this is I can't seem to see the list of everyone following me. So here's what you have to do to be included!

We need $100 to stay where we are!
So I'm doing lots and lots of cheap art in both traditional and digital styles!
During the day, I work at a golf course and have a lot of time for art there, so I will be collecting references and details of what you guys want for the traditional while doing the digital streaming.
All of the streaming for the digital art will be done at night! (I live in Colorado, so Mountain Standard Time)
If you are interested in getting something done, but can't join the streaming, I will be checking this thread frequently during the streaming as well!
Questions you may have:
1) "How many digital art pieces will you be doing while streaming?"
I plan on streaming from 8 pm until 4 am and am planning on taking 10 to 15 minutes for each piece.
2) "How will I know when my traditional piece is done?"
When I get back from work at the golf course, I will upload everything I was able to accomplish there. I will likely be taking more time to get each of them done, than I will with the digital.
3) "What will it cost you to get art done?"
It will be $1 for each Digital piece, $2 for Traditional line arts, $5 for Traditional colored pieces.
4) "What can I expect art wise?"
The detail will vary from piece to piece, depending on how difficult the design is for me to do, what kind of picture is wanted, and what I have available to work with. Digital arts may or may not have transparent backgrounds. Traditional pieces will be lined in either normal black pen, or in thin sharpie. Traditional colored pieces will be lined similarly, and will be filled by crayola markers, special stamp markers, and/or colored sharpies. If you have a preference, please make it known BEFORE I leave the live-streaming!
5) "How do I pay you?"
We will be using my mate's paypal account. Unfortunately I can't ever seem to keep track of it myself, so he will be working as my broker. Please send the money to "charcoalphoenix@gmail.com". **If your commission is not paid for within a day, the picture will be taken down and will not be put back up until twice the initial amount is paid.** I hate to have to do it, but these are not free this time around! We NEED the money!
6) "What if I want more work done on mine?"
I will do more work on yours if you like, after the event is over. You will still be expected to pay the initial amount, but it will only be an additional amount you will have to pay, depending on what you want done.
i.e. You paid for a traditional colored piece for the event, but want more detail, the additional amount will be $5

Time Bubbles and Cash
Posted 11 years agoHey guys. I know I haven't been super active on here and I wanted to apologize. I have been working full time for a temp agency and in addition am helping a friend and her mom with a recycled clothing business called Act2Creations. I am hoping that sometime in the near future my schedule will open up enough for me to start posting some art again, but I can not make any promises. Other than that my followers will receive a fun little surprise by Halloween! Look forward to it!

Posted 11 years agoSo if I can get the money to go this summer, I might me journeying overseas to Brittan to go see his grandmother for her 90th birthday. If I am able to go, chances are I will be doing a special series of Brittan themed commissions for those two weeks. One picture will be done for every day I am there and will be posted at the end of the day.

Grand Opening FREE ART event!
Posted 12 years agoAlright guys! Here's what's happening. There is a brand new game store opening up out here soon called Legionaires Internet Gaming Cafe. For the store's grand opening I will be hosting an art event of epic Free proportions!
August 31 - September 1

Here's what that means for you!
1) Anyone who walks in the door will receive a free sketch/line art between badge size () and full page size (). Bring a friend and you could get yours colored or a second sketch for you as well as one for your friend!
2) There will be a few random dice-roll giveaways of KarmaCharms (mini tails), of which there will be 6.
3) Coloring options for your sketch/line art will be available for $1-$3, or instead of a second free sketch for bringing a friend.
4) Each person to join us at the event will be entered into a drawing to win a drawing for a full custom yarn tail between 3 and 5 feet long with a legendairy backstory written for/around your character(possibly with wire supports upon request). This drawing will be held in the store.
5) There will also be a second drawing for a full custom tail (without the story) for people who refer someone to the event. This drawing will take place online, possibly on a live-streaming event. (People referred to the event by you must sign in and put your username down for you to receive anything for the referral)
6) Only people who join us at Legionaires can receive:

A lot has happened and a lot continues to happen, but I promise I will be done with them by the end of next week at the latest. If I am not, then I will owe each of you a second (or possibly a third) picture! Thank you guys so much for your patients!
Karma's New Colors
Posted 12 years agoSo I've been doing a little bit of thinking deeper into Karma, my main fursona's story as well as my kitsune, Void to a lesser extent at the moment. I have found out a couple of things about Karma as she undergoes transformation.
Part 1: Horse? - She is not part horse, but instead part kelpie. I figured this through realizing how at home I can be in the water and my still slightly more carnivorous...well naught but cravings right now. (Meat can be expensive.) The horse-like shape of the kelpie will likely be based off of (I'm leaning towards) Friesian or Percheron mixed with Akhal Teke. The mane will go from my 'poll' down my neck to my cervical vertebrae/withers and will be either a deep brown with tiny gold highlights or blond-gold, and small bits of red seaweed among the hair. My back legs are slender horse-like legs with feathering around the bottom and are a gold color. **May find a picture of Void swimming soon on my Furaffinity with some of my favorite creatures.**
Part 2: Large Cat - It has been discovered that the large cat part of her is a black jaguar. Coloration of the front paws up to the shoulders is soot-gray with black and super dark chocolate brown spots that continue a tiny bit into the wolfs fur on the chest in more ferral anthropomorphic form.
Part 3: Dragon - The type of dragon is split straight down the center of her face with the Kirin on the opposite side (*except for the antler*). The Dragon eye changes between Silver, Green and Gold in coloration depending on Karma's mood. She is part Gold Dragon and so breathes Fire. Her teeth (all of them) are that of the dragon's as well. Dragon scales run under her chin, down her neck and upper chest which stops just above the breasts. She has a dragon's tongue as well.
**Super resistant to fire, breathes fire, can access different wisdom pools, and is a pyromaniac of sorts. XD**
Part 4: Kirin - The kirin is of mostly silver-blue fur with black scales on her cheeks and near and around the nose and mouth. The Kirin eye changes between Silver, Blue and Purple depending on Karma's mood. The 'trademark' single antler of the Kirin sits in the middle of Karma's face and forehead, has two big spiral prongs of her antler that curls off of each side (mostly) evenly. The antler has exposed nerves left there when the velvet was stripped. (Is prone to cold and noms, but beware of the dragon's teeth when you attempt to nom, bite there, she'll bite back.) Scales down the sides of my neck, shoulders, half my upper arm muscles, as well as on my hips, between my legs, buttocks, and slightly up my lower back, are also black, with one every few of them blue and green poly-chromatic like the ones down her back.
**Each Kirin scale contains a 'life' which can be given to someone who needs it and can only be used selflessly. (This means using it on myself is acceptable so long as it is for the prevention or reversal of unhappiness for someone else.)**
Part 5: Scorpion - I am debating between Red Scorpion or Blue Scorpion for this one. (Yes, both are legitimate species of Scorpion as thanks to Orkin for providing the information.) I'm thinking color scheme wise I would like it to be something of scarab wings with green and blue poly-chromatic coloring. Scorpion scales run from my withers down my spine and run down the top of my tail for for half a foot.
Part 6: Wolf - I am deeply connected with the moon as well as the fact that I have memories from a wolf past life. Loyalty, family and friends are things I value highly along with full and true honesty. I also love running and can be found howling at the full moon upon occasion. When in more ferral anthropomorphic form, the wolfs fur covers her breasts and her other parts and continues down the tail up to the end when it turns into the scorpion sting. The fur is gold on my top half and silver on my bottom half, fading into black down my tail.
~ Both eyes are rarely ever silver at the same time.
~ I can hold my breath underwater for a particularly long time

Part 2: Large Cat - It has been discovered that the large cat part of her is a black jaguar. Coloration of the front paws up to the shoulders is soot-gray with black and super dark chocolate brown spots that continue a tiny bit into the wolfs fur on the chest in more ferral anthropomorphic form.
Part 3: Dragon - The type of dragon is split straight down the center of her face with the Kirin on the opposite side (*except for the antler*). The Dragon eye changes between Silver, Green and Gold in coloration depending on Karma's mood. She is part Gold Dragon and so breathes Fire. Her teeth (all of them) are that of the dragon's as well. Dragon scales run under her chin, down her neck and upper chest which stops just above the breasts. She has a dragon's tongue as well.
**Super resistant to fire, breathes fire, can access different wisdom pools, and is a pyromaniac of sorts. XD**
Part 4: Kirin - The kirin is of mostly silver-blue fur with black scales on her cheeks and near and around the nose and mouth. The Kirin eye changes between Silver, Blue and Purple depending on Karma's mood. The 'trademark' single antler of the Kirin sits in the middle of Karma's face and forehead, has two big spiral prongs of her antler that curls off of each side (mostly) evenly. The antler has exposed nerves left there when the velvet was stripped. (Is prone to cold and noms, but beware of the dragon's teeth when you attempt to nom, bite there, she'll bite back.) Scales down the sides of my neck, shoulders, half my upper arm muscles, as well as on my hips, between my legs, buttocks, and slightly up my lower back, are also black, with one every few of them blue and green poly-chromatic like the ones down her back.
**Each Kirin scale contains a 'life' which can be given to someone who needs it and can only be used selflessly. (This means using it on myself is acceptable so long as it is for the prevention or reversal of unhappiness for someone else.)**
Part 5: Scorpion - I am debating between Red Scorpion or Blue Scorpion for this one. (Yes, both are legitimate species of Scorpion as thanks to Orkin for providing the information.) I'm thinking color scheme wise I would like it to be something of scarab wings with green and blue poly-chromatic coloring. Scorpion scales run from my withers down my spine and run down the top of my tail for for half a foot.
Part 6: Wolf - I am deeply connected with the moon as well as the fact that I have memories from a wolf past life. Loyalty, family and friends are things I value highly along with full and true honesty. I also love running and can be found howling at the full moon upon occasion. When in more ferral anthropomorphic form, the wolfs fur covers her breasts and her other parts and continues down the tail up to the end when it turns into the scorpion sting. The fur is gold on my top half and silver on my bottom half, fading into black down my tail.
~ Both eyes are rarely ever silver at the same time.
~ I can hold my breath underwater for a particularly long time

FREE COMMISSION EVENT?!
Posted 12 years agoThat's right guys! I'm still doing free pixel art and digital painting commissions as well as $5 traditional commissions and $2 traditional badges!
While this is nothing spectacularly new, I now have my first commission example price image up which is exciting!
Please be sure to take a look at it and see if there's anything you would like done.
One thing to note about paying for the traditional art though, is that for the moment I can only really receive cash. Once I am able to set up a bank account specifically for paypale I will be able to take money digitally but for now it will be annoying. (More information on purchasing procedure below.)
In other news, I have decided to start doing FREE SURPRISE COMMISSION pieces for new watchers of specific numbers! There will be a list below of such people that will be updated periodically as I gain more watchers. (List shown below.)
And finally, I am currently working on a referral system! Yes! That means you will be able to get special rewards for referring other people to watch my account and for referring other people for commissions! (Updates will come periodically as this system develops!)
Purchasing Procedure:
When purchasing a traditional piece, I would ask that you send me the cash in the mail (business address will ONLY be given over PM to customers). Upon receiving the mail I will then send out the original piece to the address you provide me (doesn't matter if it's a business address or not.) along with a stamp of equal value to the one you used to send me the money and I will send you a private message on here to alert you to the fact it has been sent out. Should you request it, I will also take pictures (sent to you via pm) of shredding the envelope (all but your first name blacked out with permanent marker) you send me so that there will be no way of reusing the address or name.
**** Alternative payment options are available for those who do not wish to use this system and/or who can not pay cash (such as but not limited to art trades). PM me to discuss in more details if this applies to you!

Day One: Thursday, June , 2012 "Furr-Meet and Intro"
Posted 13 years agoDoing lots of laundry today. Ugh. At least I have Netflix. I'm watching Blood+ as we speak! Later? Dr. Who!!!
So anyway, the funniest thing happened yesterday. I met some other furrs at a pipe shop in Aurora, just outside of Denver. We all got a good laugh out of where we ended up meeting. Besides that though, I found out that they meet every Thursday at a Village Inn not too far from where I live right now. I'm thinking I'm going to go. It's nice to get to know people with like interests and mind-sets. I'm thinking that I might also be able to recruit some more people to join The Foxy Aliens, which is a dancing/singing/composing group my best friend and I have been trying to start for a while now. The only problem is I don't have a car of my own yet so I rely on my boyfriend to drive me places. Thank goodness we work at the same place. He works tonight though so I kinda need to know when he's getting off, or figure out how to get there via bus. Another dilemma I have about the furrmeet is I'm not sure if I should go in my full (con) outfit (long black skirt, black heels, black cut-sleeve shirt, ears, collar and tail) or just normally (jeans, shirt, tail, maybe ears). Oh well I guess I'll figure it out later.
As per my art, right now unfortunately all I can do is digital pixel art. I've got a couple of things I'm rather proud of, however still being relatively unfamiliar with how this site works, I have yet to figure out how to put them up here. I plan on eventually taking paid commissions, though I don't think I'm quite good enough to do so at the moment. For the moment I think I'll do some free commissions for people. I also do edits of my existing line arts for people as well.
