It's been a long time since I updated here. I feel like I got stuck in a tar pit and lost track of some years.

During the pandemic my little family moved from Sacramento, California, across the globe to Barcelona, Spain. Even though I wanted to move here (the plans were set in motion before the pandemic hit), its been a huge adjustment and I am only feeling like myself again recently, some five years later.

That being said, I'm happy now, making art every day. Especially with how things are, I hope my art can bring a little shine to your day.

The Tentatrio Kickstarter (http://kck.st/1shFVCy) to help get a sweet jellyblub, ika and sweetoof octopus plush made has been funded in just one week's time! So I've devised a series of stretch goals that will allow everyone to get More Sweet Loot~

My Starwhal character is an UBERgoal for the project--you may remember seeing handmade versions of her at Further Confusion a couple of years ago, but they were hard for me to keep in stock, time consuming to make and expensive... which is not what we're about at inki-drop. We're much more happy with the idea of cuteness for all! <3

Life/Work

I was laid off my job back in May, but it's ok! I am working towards making inki-Jinx a bigger brand. :) After completing a spat of contract work at Ubisoft, going to Otakon and entertaining a friend on her vacation for the past week, I am READY TO ROCK THIS. >:D!

I've been dreaming of being able to work on my business full time for quite a few years now, but if I'd been given the chance before this moment I don't think I would've been ready--to be honest I think I would've failed, because the business side was so intimidating. There is still a ton for me to learn (I have a feeling there always will be), but I'm not intimidated any longer.

Appearances~

I'll be at FC in 2014! It, like Fanime, are practically "home" cons for me, and I love them. :) Chances are high I will be in the Furry Marketplace and not the Dealer's Den, but come look for me~ <3

As for the rest of 2013 I am going to attend SacAnime at the end of August, and after that Alt Press Expo (October, SF) and DesignerCon (November, LA) are on the horizon!

2014 is slowly shaping up, I have a few conventions already booked, but always looking for more! is there a particular event you'd like to see me at? Drop me a comment! <3

What a great show! Almost everything I put in the art show sold, and my suitcases were SO much lighter after packing up on Sunday evening. I can't believe it, thank you so much for your support!! :3

I had a wonderful customer on Sunday morning who bought quite a few things from me, and after a credit card snafu, he paid in cash. In the shuffle his Ika Necklace didn't make it into the bag, which I didn't realize until 15 minutes after he'd left. I circled the dealers room with no luck, and my husband did a lap as well as stalking the furry marketplace, but no dice. The customer in question was wearing a cute panda hat and had bought a lot of merch. :( I feel terrible, he was really excited about the necklace. I don't even know how I'd find this fella, but if you could pass this story along maybe we will find him? I'd really love to get his purchase to him. :( Any help is much appreciated!

My next show will be WONDERCON in Anaheim, CA. Are any of you SoCal locals?

Hi everyone!

I'm really happy to announce that I'll be attending AC again this year, I loooove the crowd at Anthrocon!

I'll have a dealer's room table (check out the many new inki-Jinx goodies at table K16) and on Friday at noon I'll be giving a panel, The Philosophy of Cute, in the Somerset Room. Synopsis of the panel below:

What makes something "cute"? A look at the phenomenon of cute in nature and pop culture (anime, MLP, etc.), and how to apply it to your own artwork. Bring your sketchbooks!

WHY HELLO THAR! <3

I'ts been a while, but soon after Anthrocon I was promoted to Senior Illustrator at my former company, OMGpop, and heading a project sucked up a lot of my time.

Why do I say "former"? Because I am moving to the SF Bay area in the next couple of weeks., that's why! :) I'm super excited to be taking on a Senior Game Artist position at GREE International, working on games for their mobile social platform. I'll give more deets about that project as I am allowed, I think you'll like it a lot!

During my time away from FA, I hadn't forgotten about my own personal art and have quite the backlog to share with you. :3 I'll try to post something here every day or so. :D

I will be at table C10 in the Dealer's Room, and I am bringing a ton of Ika plush, tee shirts, charms, earrings, tote bags and assorted goodies!

I will also be available for a very limited number of badges and sketch commissions.

I'll be there all weekend, so stop by and say hello!

Hello hello!

It's about time I made an introduction post!

I graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in 2007. I've worked for Disney Interactive and Electronic Arts in the past, and currently I work as a senior Illustrator for a social games company in New York City.

I've been in and out of the furry fandom for a number of years due to college and work obligations (the first couple years outside of college are tough!), but now I'm happy to say that I'm back and happy to share my work. :)

I love baby animals, but especially puppies! French Bulldogs are my one true puppylove. *0* See also, cephalopods and cute monsters. The end!
