Hi, everyone. It's been about a month since my last post, by the looks of it. I'm doing okay but, I'm worried. My roommate has effectively gone missing for the past week with no way of contacting them. I've had to repeat the same story numerous times, including to the police on two occasions. This isn't looking good. Last I heard, they were in an unspecified hospital. While I do care about their well being, my additional concern is about the rent. I can't pay them if they're not here. I don't know. I really have a bad feeling about this. Things were starting to look up, too.
This just seems like the year of bad fortune. It seems like the only thing I can do (apart from work) is hope for the best.

Hello, everyone. I'm mostly back. For a while it was looking very sketchy, though. I was living out of my car for about a week and a half to save money. Stayed in a hotel sparingly. I'm in a new place, now. I'm a roommate and still settling in. Funnily enough, I'm living not too far away from where I was. The downside is, I've left so much behind, including my cat. Well, all the cats I was keeping, I've had to leave behind. But, Gracie was the real stinger. She was my little darling. I really wanted to keep her. I rescued her, after all. Now, she's gone. I have no idea what's become of her. I'm shocked no one had any room to take her or any of the other cats. It's so frustrating to have so little time and no avenues. I hope she's doing okay, though. I miss her so much.
I am thankful for this mercy, however. It's just...scary feeling like there was no way out. I just couldn't believe things were going so bad so fast and I had next to no life lines. The only family I had close by couldn't help. I didn't know anybody that could or would put me up, either. For a while, I was worried I would eventually run out of money and resources. I've already lost so much as it was. I don't know what I would do at such a point. I doubt any of you would ever know if it came to that. Just, "Last known entry: August of 2025."
Well, hopefully things will be better, now. Hopefully, I can stay afloat and get back to the way things were. Not sure when I'll be posting art again. My scanner is just sitting on the floor right now. It's just going to take some time for...everything. There's recovery and then there's healing. For now, I'm glad I could make this post.

Hi, everyone. Update time, I guess. Although, I've been pretty quiet, lately. This situation just has be down. Tomorrow, I'm due to move out of my apartment by 4pm or I'll be forcibly removed. Anything left in the apartment is forfeit to the complex. Looks like that's just what's going to happen, too. Lots of it. I don't have the time or resources to get the rest out. What's worse is, I STILL have no place to move TO. Every place I've tried has been a dead end. I either don't make enough to keep up with rent or I get no reply to my inquiries. I feel doomed. I've had to take the last few days off work just to move what I could and I don't think I'm getting paid for it. My next move is to try to stay at a hotel for a little while until I can find something. But, that's going to erode my finances. This just sucks. July and August have just been a nightmare. I've just been blocked at every turn, it feels like. I don't know what I'm going to do. That feeling of dread just wont let up. Yet, I'm hopeful something will turn up at the last minute. Just some kind of mercy.
I don't know. I just wish things could go back to the way they were. I miss simpler times.
I don't think this will be the last you'll see of me. I still have my phone. While I can't post art (for the foreseeable future) I can still post comments and stuff. I'll keep you all posted as best I can.

Hey, everyone. Man, my last journal was back in December. I'm amazed I was able to stay afloat for so long. But, it seems like my rope has run out or is nearly running out. Things have not been going well, to say the least. First, I lose my car to someone that just wasn't paying attention to what was right in front of them. I do have a new car now, but not before losing a considerable amount of money to rentals. I thought my tax refund would help me out. It didn't help by much. My job situation improved only a little, but that's not saying much. I feel like I'm walking up a down escalator. Every step up just takes me back to the bottom.
To sum up, I'm behind on rent $7,000 and they just recently told me. I thought I was making headway. I thought I was salvaging the situation. It just wasn't enough. It's like they let me limp along before kicking in my other knee (in the nicest way possible). I've been told I need to move out. While I have found a new place, I don't know if I can get approved with my income level. Am I boned? What do I do?
I'm not going to ask for donations this time. I appreciate the help, for those that gave. Thank you. I'm just in too deep. Short of a miracle, it would be futile.
I'm still alive, though. That's at least something.
I know it's been a while since I posted something. The truth is, I can't seem to bring myself to draw anything. I might start sketching and then just give up half way through, at the least. I just get this heavy feeling. I don't know what's going on. Life is just hard, right now. Might even get worse. Who can say?

Okay. So...here's the big item. I'm still not comfortable with asking for donations. I never thought I would be asking for help like this. I've always been in a stable situation, financially. But now, I'm three weeks behind paying rent and my final chance to pay in full (plus late charges) is the 26th. With all my bills coming due early and payday never coming soon enough, I'm afraid I won't make it. I owe $1,795. Beyond that (baring some miracle) I will have to pay next month's rent shortly after. I just don't know where I'm going to get that much money in such a short period of time. If I'm getting a Christmas bonus from work, it isn't going to be a lot. Generally, they don't give bonuses. I don't know what else to do. I have to ask. I'm afraid I won't be here to post art or work on commissions for you. I really need help. I know people are having their own financial troubles. I understand. If you can give, whatever you can give, whatever you can spare, I would be eternally grateful. Every little bit helps. If you can't, it's okay.

Okay. I figured out how to enable shinies in case you want to donate that way. I forgot they were still a thing, honestly.

I miss my old scanner. I tried to get a replacement, but my new computer doesn't see it. I just scanned a new piece and my HP scanner is colorblind! It sees mostly gray! Why? How did HP downgrade with a newer model? Lemme' guess. More dedicated printer and scanner was slapped on? Did they cheap out? I don't know. It's frustrating me to no end. Their editing software isn't much help, either. It will enhance certain colors, but bring out the colors that are on the page? Nope. I cannot get Earth tones for crap!
I need something better. I need something that works with Windows 10 and is NOT an HP scanner. Canon is my next consideration because they at least have good cameras. But, I am open to recommendations. If there's a reliable plug-n'-play of good quality, please point me in that direction. I want my clients to have their money's worth and this thing is sabotaging me!

Helluu, everyone. I hope everyone had a fun Independence Day. I know I did. Although, turning one year older makes me feel...older. Vacation was nice, though. Enjoyed the coast and the spectacular fireworks. Some of which went off right overhead and rained down ashes. It's just a little bit sad having to come back. BUT! Coming back meant I could get some work done. As such, I just finished my Rescuers spin-off sequel. Rescuers on the run is now complete. I left room for a following sequel, of course. But, otherwise concluded the second installment of Clary and Dimitri's adventures. They go through some real rough stuff, though. I'm debating on whether I should post these first draft scripts for everyone to read. I'm not sure. What's most weird about it is, now that I'm done, I can't believe it's over already. I mean, it feels like I just started a week ago. I want to do a third, but I'm not sure what the scenario would be. Anyway, I might do some illustrations down the road. Maybe even do some model sheets and such.

Ever want to see your own character among sexy reindeer? Well, from now to Christmas, you can order exactly that. You have nine reindeer to choose from. Some will be depicted as female and others as male. Depends on the interpretation of the name, I suppose. Anyway, the deal is thus: your character with your choice of reindeer. Opposite gender only, please. If your character is female, she'll be surrounded by (or intimate with) some of the bucks. If your character is male, he gets some of the girls (or one, depending). Here's the special part: you're only paying for your character at the standard rate. So, $20 gets you your character, inked, colored, special outfit, and a bunch of naughty reindeer. Special outfit can either be Santa suit (guys), naughty Santa suit (ladies), or naughty elf outfit (also ladies). You can specify which reindeer and what they'll be doing with your character. Or, you can leave it up to me to decide. I just need a decent reference of your character and names of the reindeer you want me to use.
I could possibly make an exception for two characters being surrounded at $25, if you want to negotiate it.
Just send me a note and specify "Reindeer games" or "Christmas special" in the subject line and we'll discuss.

Last Sunday, I had to let Bucky go. The next day, his sister, Ferbi, retreated. My research tells me she entered the grieving process. She would sleep a lot and she would hardly eat or drink. Gradually, she would stop eating or drinking. I tried to encourage her to do both, but it was no good. She would just go back to her little cubby hole and sleep. I was advised to just leave her alone and give her time. She'll work it out, right? It was not so. This morning, I returned from work and got ready to serve breakfast. Ferbi was no longer in her cubby hole. I found her behind my chair. She was gone. She wasn't in poor health, as far as I could tell. It's like she just...gave up. I was worried this was going to happen the first day she retreated. I thought she would pull out of it if I just kept helping her, if I kept showing her love. It only went so far. She was just as old as her brother. Like him, she was a good cat and will be missed greatly.

Hello, everyone. I come with tidings of sorrow. For at least five years, I've had the company of two cats and recently, a new one joined their ranks. But, tonight, I've had to let one of them go. My own house panther has parted company for the last time. His name was Bucky. He was 18 years old. He was a good and loving cat. We would spend a lot of time sitting together and even sharing a lap with his sister. I don't wish to go into details of his suffering. Suffice it to say, he no longer suffers. I tried to comfort him before it was time. Said what I needed to say. Pet him for as long as I could. My mother used to say I was his boy. I got to be his boy until the end. Now he's gone.

Hey, everyone. It's been a while since I've done one of these. The first thing I want to do is explain the extreme slow-motion of my art posting as of the past year and a half. I have a jerb now that takes up more time and energy than I'd like. Not going to say what my job is for sensitivity purposes. Suffice it to say, it's slowed my productivity down.
Now to my main issue: looks like I'm losing access to this site. Apparently, FA has a measure in place that checks your browser to make sure it isn't some malicious DDoS attack attempt. Fair enough. But, since I haven't updated my OS is forever, that also means my browser is old as dirt and the site has recently locked me out because of that. Although, the lock out appears temporary. It's serving as a bit of a wake up call. I either find a browser that stays up-to-date even with XP or I get a new PC with all the latest and greatest.
My other issue is password related. For one, I didn't bother to write down my new password and have since forgotten what it was. I've tried to use FA's password recovery but, it relies on an email address that's no longer in use. I can't seem to update my email address without my password and I forgot what it was. So, to get a new password, I need to know what the old one was. I can't get a reminder because the email on file no longer exists. So, if FA's system locks me out again and I can't get back on, I can't log in from my phone because I need my password. I would be boned and many of you would not know why. I'm not the kind of guy to just leave without warning, if I can help it. So, if you don't see any interaction from me of any kind, you'll know why. Although, possibility two isn't a pleasant alternative either.

Hello, Everyone. I hope everybody enjoyed their Valentine's day. At midnight, the Holiday specials were officially ended. I will no longer be accepting any new offers on them. I do have two themed commissions in the works, but that is all. Those were put in, just in time. I want to thank everyone that got a special commission over the months and I hope they're enjoying the works they received.

On a related note: circumstances in my life have changed a bit. There's some internal debate on whether or not I can open the other discount commissions this summer. As always, you'll know when a journal is posted, announcing the opening.

It's that time again. Sure, it's not the beginning of October, but it's the time of year when I tend to announce these things. What am I talking about? The Holiday specials, of course. They're the other discounted commissions I open every season. For those new to the offer, they're just $15 for a single character and $2 for every additional character (up to 5 if the setting allows it). Backgrounds are complimentary. What's the catch? It has to be holiday themed. Namely, the big holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Valentine's day. Now, they don't strictly have to go in order of occurrence. If say, you wanted to get a Christmas themed commission early because you might not have the ability to do it in December, you can order one. They can range from General to Adult rated so long as they correspond with the respective holiday.
In respect to the free backgrounds: you may make suggestions about the setting, but don't expect anything super detailed or something that would otherwise take a lot of time to do. If there's a sizable queue of clients, I don't want to keep them waiting. If you pick a setting that implies a detailed background, I'm going to pick something less complicated. Remember, it's a freebie. Your character(s) are the only thing being paid for. Although, I do reserve the right to some creative licensing with the background. You may get lucky with a pleasant surprise.
So, to recap: Single character $15. Additional characters are only $2. The offer will go from now and end on February 14th. Just send me a note with the Holiday in question and your character name in the subject line.

Do you know what time it is? Do you?! Oh, I know what time it is. I'm going to tell you. It's BIKINI TIME! It's hot out and so are the ladies. You know what that means. It means summer discount commissions are back on. That's half off my regular prices. The qualifier is the same; female characters in bikinis (or even half of one). This year is different, though. I'm now offering another species and another setting. I'm confident enough to add humans or hybrid humans to the list (i.e. cat girls for example). The added setting is Bikini Baristas.
Steps:
1) Send a note with "(Character name) Bikini time" in the subject line. This will help me differentiate who's commissions are who's.
2) Your description. Who's in it (five is the limit) and what are they doing? What are they wearing? You can link to an existing bikini or you can ask me to design one. For those of you that want notable difference in height among characters, please list their heights. If you want more than five characters (negotiable), be aware of the limited space. Don't be surprised if a character runs off the page. Concise character references preferred. It is best to use references that show off a lot of the character in question. They will be wearing very little and it will help me get their fur pattern right. Or in the case of humans, if they have special markings or piercings I should be made aware of. If a character is not yours and you do have permission to use it, please include the user name of the respective owner of that character. If they have a FA account to link back to, even better.
3) Suggest setting, but I will be making up the background. This time, settings will be between shore/sand, ocean/pool, or barista hut/kiosk.
4) List your email address. I usually ask for those when all the details are squared away, but listing them in the first note doesn't hurt. This is just so I can show you the rough draft sketch and progress updates. Listing paypal addresses will not be necessary.

Hey, everybody. Just a little update concerning the Holiday special commissions. It was brought to my attention that Valentine's day isn't that far away from New Year's eve. Now, I usually separate Valentine's day specials from Holiday specials. Although, I think I included them last year, but I can't remember if I did. They go for the same amount as the usual Holiday specials, so why not? In any case, I've decided to extend the Holiday specials to include Valentine's day and making that the cut off date for the special. So, now you may order Valentine's day specials early and February 15th will be the end of the offer.

As an aside, I will be moving very soon. This could delay commission progress, depending on when they're ordered. For potential clients, please bear with me if/when this happens.

Hey, everyone. I know some of you have been waiting patiently for this. I usually announce these at the start of the month, but circumstances prevented that. So, with Halloween being close by, it is time to open the Holiday Special commissions! As per the usual, the discounted prices are $15 for a fully inked and colored character, $2 per extra/added character, and free background. The themes have to be Holiday based or they don't count. I'm limiting the total amount of characters to 4, 5 being negotiable depending on the scene. If you are borrowing/featuring characters that are not yours, PLEASE PROVIDE THEIR PROPER OWNER'S USER NAME. That would be very helpful. I've had one-too-many mix ups during the "Bikini time" specials, not knowing which character belonged to whom. Proper credit where it is due. Also be sure to have some good references handy, if it can be helped.
Now, just like last time, the holiday orders don't necessarily need to go in order. For example, if you wanted a Christmas themed commission in the middle of November, no problem. As such, the themes are Halloween, Christmas, and New Year. Although, if you think of a Thanksgiving one, don't hesitate to specify. I just don't see orders for those, typically.
So, if you want a Holiday special, please send a note with either "Holiday special" or the respective holiday name in the subject line so I know that it's for the special. Don't worry about overlap, should you order a Halloween (for example) theme and it rolls over into November. It will still be valid.
