I hope everyone's 2018 is starting off great! This year hopefully will be a good year for Inky Paw Prints Studio with lots more drawings to be had and plenty of prints coming up for sale.
Some of you may have heard but I had some furry cons and non-furry cons in the works. Just did some balancing of both checkbooks and schedules and here is my lineup.
Texas Furry Fiesta - February 8-11th in Dallas Texas
Wild Nights - April 26-29th at Robber's Cave
Lexicon - TBA (Fall)
SUAB Comiccon - TBA (Fall)
I was looking to go to Gateway Furmeet in St. Louis, Missouri, but due to financial complications, I will not be attending this year as an artist, and only a slim chance of simply as an attendee either. I will do my best to make it next year though!

EXTRA NEWS:

Now to decide whether or not to keep pushing and go for grad school or not! Do you guys have any good MFA grad school programs near you you'd like to recommend? I'm looking for fibers, drawing/painting, and maybe print making.
As for my queue, last week and this week I've been doing alot of work and have nearly caught up my queue of commissions! Now onto all the backlog of requests and such!
I plan on taking my tablet and my laptop with me, given that the laptop behaves, and will keep working some through the holidays, but not nearly as hefty as this past week. So that means Commissions are Active and still Open!

My Christmas List
Posted 8 years agoTotally not expecting anything to come of this, but it's a wish, even if a silly one.
Step 1
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 13 holiday wishes.
The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big.
The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
Step 2
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special

Halloween Art Trick-Or-Treating! (Please Read!)
Posted 8 years agoBasically, come the 31st, a lot of us older ladies/gents/others don't really go out for the holiday @.@
So why not do something fun online?
Concept:
On the 30th of October, post a journal that's called LIGHTS ON
This shows that your "porch light" is on and you're accepting Trick or Treaters.
People can come to your journal and comment "Trick or Treat!" or whatever other code word you'd like to use.
At which point, the creator of the journal can offer up small sketches or the like as treats for who comments.
And, as to not overwhelm people, you can set a limit as to how many trick or treaters you'll take.
Everyone runs out of candy eventually! Once you hit your limit you can change your journal to Lights off or closed, etc.
I feel this could be a chance for some people to get some art and have fun while doing it as well~
Also, please don't be greedy! Be courteous to your other Trick or Treaters!
Tell me what y'all think! If you like this idea, please spread it around by copy pasting this journal! Hopefully, we can get a fair amount of people interested in this :D

Posted 8 years agoJust letting everyone know, setting up the Art Gallery for my BFA is in 12 days. Eeeek!!
I'm so excited and ready to get this out of the way. This is my final semester in my undergraduate program and I'm looking forward to taking a few years off to work on my business of making fursuits and illustrations. Hoorah!
So what does this mean?
Drawing commissions will be open again starting November 1st! I've a small que of people that has been set far back behind schedule, I need to wipe those out really quick, but I'll be glad to take on new orders to add to the list! (Check out my Trello here: https://trello.com/b/eKfeszeU/inky-.....s-studio-queue)
As for fursuit commissions, I've got some lined up as well, but will not be working on Fursuits until the beginning of the year. I found out graduation is a week later than expected (16th of December), giving me a week to do Christmas shopping for the holidays the next weekend, eek! I'll be out of town until January 3rd. I'll gladly take orders, but I won't be able to work on large projects until then.
Anyways, Run down of schedule!

Picarto Streams and Such
Posted 8 years agoI've been thinking about upgrading my Picarto account to Premium to unlock multistreams and whatnot. Would anyone be interested in multistreaming with me?
Also, due to it being five weeks out from installing the art gallery *Squee!*, I'm putting commissions on LIMITED OPENING, I've already got several things in my que, some quite old, that I need to finish and send off to people (no worries, they told me to do it in spare time), and I also need to finish up some other drawings as well as start new ones from scratch for the art show. So if someone has a major request of a commission to be done with mine and I lower my que WAY down, then I'll open up some slots. For now, I'm focusing on finishing things and getting this art show ready!

Good News Everyone!
Posted 8 years agoI passed my senior thesis review, HOORAH! This means I get to graduate on time and the art gallery with all my hardwork gets to go up October 30th. Opening night is Friday, November 3rd! If you're in the area of Stillwater, Oklahoma you should come visit and see the show my colleagues and I have been working to put together! (Fursuits are welcome since they're the main project of my portion of the show)

Posted 8 years agoFirst off, tomorrow is my B-Day, so more than likely I'll be taking the day off since I have a morning appointment and need to get the oil changed on my car, then I can spend the rest of the day chilling and enjoying it.
Second! With classes starting up next week, I don't have a terribly full schedule as a part time student, but my thesis is top priority still, so I'll be having business hours on Tuesdays and Thursday from 12pm-7pm, and Friday from 4pm-7pm.

I'll take all commissions, and will gladly deliver traditional works to TnT if people are there that orders them!

So I finished the money and time budget for the fursuits, and to get it, and at least 10 drawings finished by the time classes start on August 21st, I can't pick up a side job. I'm scrambling to scrap together cash to pay for the suits, and framing. It's kind of a nightmare right now.
Anyways, Would you guys be willing to help me out by donating a little bit to my GoFundMe? All proceeds are going to my thesis show to get it up and ready and have the fursuits finished by rereview in late August. I really need the help!
Even if you can't donate, I'd really appreciate it if you spread the word. I'm trying to expose the Furry culture and community in a good light!
