Posted 14 years agoHOPE EVERYONE HAD A NICE MEMORIAL DAY.
My grandma didn't cry about my grandfather this year.
It was nice.

Long story short, he was in the air force and died in '09 from cancer.
Memorial Day has been pretty important to us since, and also rather depressing.
We all miss him, but... family get-togethers work better when we're not all sad.

We had a BBQ picnic - hamburgers, Italian sausages, and two racks of ribs.
Oh, and the tastiest sauce I have ever put on anything off a grill.
Truly finger-lickin' good. //lame
Fortunately it ceased being 85 degrees outside by the time we had dinner.
It would have sucked to be outside by a hot grill in that heat...
PS - ART IS ON THE WAY, I PROMISE.
I just haven't had time to scan anything. >//<;;

Got home Friday.
Was made to do lots of yard work between then and now.
Too tired.
I've gotta unpack all of my things still...
And I've got other projects to attend to.
Unfortunately, a livestream isn't terribly high on my list.
That, and I don't feel much like drawing right now.
Too tiiiiired.
So yeah.
See you next week.
Got home Friday.

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN, FOLKS.
Last week was a little silly, what with me not feeling well and all.
TONIGHT'S LINEUP:
- Figure sketching! OHBOY
- Coloring last week's efforts?
- Randoms because OF COURSE THERE WILL BE
ALSO.
I'm moving back home on Friday - this means that the following Monday might not contain a stream (the show will most likely go on, but just a heads-up).
As stated in my previous journal, this means that streams will have to start earlier and can't run as long (probably start at 7pm and they HAVE to end before midnight).
Start time will probably fluctuate a little more, since I'm gonna wait 'till after dinner so as to avoid getting interrupted for half an hour or more.
Oh, and my family never informs me when we have plans to go somewhere, but here's hoping that I can inform you guys if such events would prevent me from streaming.

Feeling LOADS better today, guys.
Got some sniffles still, but it's peanuts compared to how I felt yesterday.
Also, my voice is functional.
SO YEAH.
GONNA DO A STREEEEAM TO-NIGHT~
Got a couple of sketch ideas I wanna finish, tee hee.
Probably gonna save most of the coloring for next week, though (save for the request).
NOTE:
I have class early-ish tomorrow, so I can't stream as long as I want.
I will go to 2am at the LATEST, but since that's about when I usually finish it shouldn't be much of a change.
NOTE 2 (THE IMPORTANT INFO):
Next week is exam week, and then I'll be moving back home Friday-ish of that week.
While I'm home I CAN NOT DO LATE-RUNNING STREAMS - I will be scolded by midnight, because my sisters are still in school 'till late June.
I should also get a summer job so I can stop having to exclude myself from shenanigans because I can't pay for it.

Exhausted from the fair my college held yesterday, at which I was giving instructions from 9:30am to 5pm (loudly, might I add, because there was SO MUCH OTHER NOISE).
Also some unintentional late-night karaoke shenanigans with friends last night.
MY VOICE IS ABSOLUTELY SHOT.
None left.
( Well, barely. )
Unless I feel better by tomorrow night, there's not gonna be a stream.
I'll look into holding it later in the week, but I don't know how that'll work out, what with exam preparation and packing and moving back home and all.
So sorry about that.

Possible stream on Monday?
Posted 14 years agoI'm thinking Monday evening would be a good time for a stream, since I can stay up laaaate because I don't have class 'till four on Tuesdays.
I'm thinking... 9 or 10pm, my time (Eastern), to start.
Ending when I get tired and/or don't feel like working on stuff anymore.
What shall I be doing?
Depending on what I accomplish this weekend, coloring finished sketches that I've been meaning to get to - otherwise, just random doodling (and maybe sharing some stuff I haven't posted yet).
Also, MAYBE requests. Because I need to practice things (and also draw something other than the repetitive doodles filling my one sketchbook).
That's a big maybe, so we shall see.
Posting this now because I may not have (functional) internet over the weekend.
(And also because this gives people a few days to comment up in this here journal.)

So, yeah. I keep talking about Pokémon because that's what I plan on selling for Tora-Con.
Anyway.
I am drawing the starters, their evolutions, legendaries, and popular/important critters (like Pikachu and the Eeveelutions).
Now, I'm fairly certain I know which gen 1&2 Pokémon fall into that last category, but I have little idea for the other three generations because I kind of stopped watching the show once they got to the Hoenn region (and there's a far lower amount of art for Pokémon of the later generations).
SO.
My request to you guys (or at least those who know this sort of thing) is to fill me in on what Pokémon are popular and/or are important in some way.
I mostly want to know about generation 3+, but reminding me of important ones in generations 1 and 2 is also pretty helpful.
As of this post, I have sketched out the starters and legendaries for the first two generations.
I'll hold off on scanning them until they're inked to my satisfaction.
I did intend on doing a stream while I worked on them, but that wouldn't have worked out.
OH! Third thing!
I plan on taking on-the-spot commissions while I'm physically at the art table during the con.
Partially because I can't cover EVERYONE's favorites ahead of time, and partially because I know (and if you've watched a stream of my work, you also know) that I can work pretty quickly (insanefast, if you will).
Aaanyway, a few last things.
The pre-made keychains will be reprinted lineart, but colored by hand (so I don't kill the color cart in our printer).
(Coloring each one by hand also makes each one look different, despite having the same lines.)
They shall be laminated, and oh so shiny.
They shall be sold for $2.50 each.
The on-the-spot customs will be $5, but I feel that's acceptable because a) on the spot, and b) you will then own the one-and-only original.
Unfortunately, I can't laminate those because it would waste a LOT of plastic.
... I'mma need to get another set of markers, just to make sure colors I need don't run out when I need them...

Posted 15 years agoI've got a few sketches I want to ink and color - Toffee, Pumpkinz, Gerald... maybe some others, I dunno.
Gonna post 'em as-is sometime between now and Tuesday, then sometime after that I wanna do a stream and ink/color 'em.
I'm heading home either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon for break, so I'd like to stream before then - however, I am bringing my lamp home this time (partially because it's a longer break) so I could also stream then.
Other than that, Thursday is the only night I can't stream late (as in the AM hours of the night) because I have an early class the following morning.
So, any particular ideas for a good time?

Tired, cold, and I don't wanna have a marker headache the night before I have an early(ish) class...
I shall be posting the stuff I drew today and on the previous stream now instead.
That being said, I plan on making a few sketches before the stream and then ink/color them live, since I know it's a little hard to see my pencil on camera.
Gonna draw Toffee and Pumpkinz, 'cuz they're cool.
Maybe Gerald, we shall see.
Also, paper childrens are likely, since they're cute and a good way for me to 'warm up' before I start drawing less chibi things.
