agh - please read & comment
Posted 15 years agoSorry, but I had to end the stream earlier than planned - I'm getting a marker headache. Dx
I managed to draw two paper children (one of Torey and another of Toffee), and a cute picture of Pumpkinz and Toffee.
I'll post it all tomorrow, so look forward to that.
Anyway, I'mma probably do another stream tomorrow (Thursday).
What time would be good for people?
I can't start until after about 3pm (Eastern), 'cuz I have stuff to be doing then.
If you wanna watch, leave a comment with a good time.

Posted 15 years agoEDIT: So I got an idea.
How does me doing a stream tomorrow sound?
It'd be around this time, or perhaps a tad later (~8pm eastern).
Booting long journal off mah page.
Anyway, I'll be drawing up some more anthro-related paper childrens/badges since I finally have time to do stuff again.
So you can keep an eye out for those.

HEY GAIZ (READ & COMMENT)
Posted 15 years agoI sense the coming of commission infos.
Ohyes, I do.
SO. SURVEY/NOTE TIEM.
THIS IS UBER IMPORTANT SO SERIOUSLY, READ AND COMMENT.
I need feedbaaaaaaack.
CURRENT SUPPLIES:
- Bucket of Sharpies in assorted colors (somewhat limited, but I like them)
- Pitt pens (inking) and white Sakura pen (highlights)
- Sharpie highlighters (assorted colors)
- mechanical and standard pencils, ballpoint pens, and some random pens
- Wacom intuos3 tablet & Photoshop Elements 4.0
- 8x11 (standard) white printer paper
- 3x5 index cards (blue lines on one side, but meh - I HAVE SO MANY)
- VERY limited supply of aluminum jump rings (chainmail) in two sizes
- pliers for said rings
I CAN (EASILY) GET:
- ENVELOPES (3x5's in normal ones, 8x11+'s in appropriately sized ones)
- PLASTIC BINDER PAPER PROTECTION SLEEVES (for 8x11+ stuff)
- lamination machine (at home - shall be getting at the end of the month)
- all kinds of paper (gotta double-check what's on campus and elsewhere)
- more aluminum rings (in about 3 to 4 weeks they'll arrive in the mail)
- wire (for making rings - unsure of what kinds exactly, though)
- cutters and rods for making said wire into rings (instead of ordering)
There is also a Hyatt's, Marshall's, AC Moore, and JoAnn's near campus.
Haven't looked in them so I don't know what's there, but I know where they are.
WHAT I WANT TO KNOW:
- Guesstimates/advice on pricing for different sorts of images
-- ex: sketches vs colored pictures vs 3x5's vs chainmail
-- you don't have to be exact - relative prices between different things will suffice
-- I know I keep asking, but it's SO IMPORTANT because I won't be fair to myself if I don't have input
- What should I draw for my example work?
-- I'll probably just draw whatev's, but I still want suggestions
-- mostly, what styles I should go with
- Chainmail - is it a good idea? What weaves (patterns) should I use?
-- place I'm getting rings from: theringlord.com
-- reference place for weaves: cgmaille.com
-- I ordered bright aluminum, black anodized aluminum, and black ice anodized aluminum all in 18ga 1/4" ID (if you were wondering)
-- as of now, I can do Euro 4-1, Euro 6-1, Byzantine, and Elfweave - I am open to learning others
- What sorts of materials do you think I should experiment with?
-- a little unrelated, but who knows - if I like it, I might add it to the list of stuff I'll make
- Is it really worth it to get Copics and/or Prismas?
-- Hyatt's probably has them both, but they not cheap and I do like my Sharpies...
SO.
YOU HAVE READ.
NOW YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE A COMMENT.
I IMPLORE YOU.
( COPYPASTA DA/FA )
SPECIAL NOTES FOR FA PEOPLE:
I will consider doing FA-only pretty things.
This does not mean I WILL, but I... might.
I have to think about it a bit more before I decide.
Also, most info will be posted over on DA, so sorry about that.
I'll copy/paste and link to stuff where appropriate, though.
But obviously not all my DA stuff will go here, just like how not all my FA stuff will go over there.
Hope you understand.

SO HEY GUESS WHAT I NOTICED
Posted 15 years agoSOMETHING IMPORTANT IS APPROACHING
IT IS OH SO VERY IMPORTANT
I AM EXCITED FOR IT
SO I SHALL DRAG THIS OUT
...
HALLOWEEN!
I dunno about you guys, but it seriously doesn't feel like it's been FOUR (and a half) WEEKS.
SO I WANNA ASK WHAT YOU FUNKY-FACES ARE UP TO.
I wanna make plans with local and relatively local friends (you know who you are).
I just wanna be back on campus by Sunday night, 'cuz I have class at 8 the next day.
Oh, also.
As of tomorrow (Sept 28th), Pokémon has been running for 12 long years in America.
(Certain friends of mine were probably expecting this to be the main topic of my journal, lol.)
EXPECT ARTWORK TOMORROW.

Posted 15 years agoSo.
Reposting some stuff from DA to my FA page, and am then gonna post a bunch of pics on DA.
Probably gonna be uploading pics all weekend, so be prepared for a HUGE amount of posts from me.
DA will still be my main page, but I'm gonna be posting stuff exclusively to FA.
You'll see what I mean later.
(copy/pasting this to both journals)
