Art, Discord and future streaming
Posted 8 years agoFall is here and I recently found out that I won't be traveling for work this year. Going to be practicing some sketching and am hoping to get better at drawing both general art and round things. Gonna draw me some circles, yessir. I miiiight open for very limited requests once I feel up to it, just to get some practice drawing characters that are outside my comfort zone.
Additionally, I'll be getting better internet by the end of next month, so no more abysmal stream quality if I'm broadcasting games or art. Keep in mind that I'm in the Atlantic timezone, but I hope to be online more frequently.
I'm not usually on Skype anymore. You can find me most-every night on Discord now as Bog-Rot#9392. Just a heads up.
Pro-tip: if you make Maple-Bacon Smores, don't plan on walking anywhere too far. Talking from experience here...

Having been hosting a vanilla Minecraft server for the past couple of weeks, we've
decided we'd love to give some modpacks a try!
The flavor of the month is Hexxit, an amazing modpack that focuses on adventuring
through dungeons, exotic lands and other worlds, collecting wicked loot and gear,
and becoming a party of adventurers with friends!
The server is currently undergoing maintenance while the modpack's server files are
being installed, and as such is down for the time being. Hopefully installation should
not take more than a few hours to complete!
Hexxit can be easily downloaded and played by downloading the Tekkit launcher here,
and I'd recommend giving the modpack 3GBs of RAM under the launcher's options.
The vanilla MC server map I was previously running has been backed up, and will be
re-implemented once we've played around with Hexxit for a while! I'm also happy to
announce that if you were already whitelisted on the vanilla server, you will already be
whitelisted when Hexxit goes live!
If you haven't been whitelisted yet, and want to join in on the fun, leave your MC user
name and the reason you want to join the server below, and I'll whitelist you as quick
as I can! c:

I'm very pleased to announce that even in the space of a couple of weeks
HojPoj4 and I have
been able to welcome a dozen of you fine folks on to our Minecraft server! It's already been a blast
being able to meet new folks and host an unrestricted MC environment, and we fully intend to keep
this little project going!
That being said, we've noticed some interest in some of Minecraft's more popular modpacks; we've
been asked about hosting a Hexxit server more than once. I'm more than happy to put in the work
to setup a 24/7 Hexxit server, but want to make sure it'll be something that the majority of you would
want. Heck, perhaps it'd attract more attention to the server for all I know!
As Hexxit must be downloaded via the Technic Pack launcher (available here) and thus requires
more setup to join the server, it MAY reduce the approachability of the server for new players. As such,
we want your opinion!
Leave a comment and tell us what you think of turning the server into a Hexxit (or any modpack, really)

Started another Minecraft server! (Details within)
Posted 9 years agoIt's been a long while since I've done anything Minecraft-related and have recently rediscovered how much I like
the game. As such, I have rented a 16 player Minecraft server to test out if it's something I'd like to keep doing!
There are no mods as of yet; the server is an official 1.8.9 build and the most I might change up for the time
being is whether or not any plugins are used.
This server is quite a bit different than many other 24/7 servers you'll encounter in that we're cool with you doing
pretty much anything.
No...seriously.
Did a friend piss you off and make you want to fill his house with obsidian? We're fine with that. Did you want to
build a TNT cannon to defend your island? As long and you can gather the resources for the TNT, who are we to stop
you? Did you wanna fight someone to the death to defend your honor, or fill someone's chests with dirt? Be my
guest!
While we STRONGLY encourage the "Don't Be A Dick" policy, you are free to interact with other players and their bases
as you see fit. We want everyone to be able to join this server with the freedom to do anything their hearts desire
(and maybe meet a new friend or two along the way)!
For the time being, we're only opening up invitation to this server via this journal on FA. This server is whitelisted, but
I'll be checking this journal daily so you can expect a swift response from yours truly.
Before you are added to the whitelist, and before I send you the MC Server and Teamspeak Server information, we will
need to know the following information:
-Your Minecraft Username
-The reason you want to play on this server (be as wordy as you can; we'll be more inclined to add you if it looks like
you put effort into your post)
We may add server space/modpack capability later, if interest is shown by active users to do so. Hope to see ya there!

So I'm thinking of moving to a new account.
Posted 10 years agoIt occurred to me recently that I really have done a number to establish myself purely as a
fat-themed artist on this account.
While I do enjoy the odd bit of round things to be sure, I realize now that the commissions
I've gotten over the years on this account really do paint a pretty 1-Dimensional picture of
who I am and what I'm all about. I've been thinking an awful lot about this and I've come
to realize that the sheer glut of fat art of Vilhelm and N'oktaalisss often get in the way of
portraying them as more serious characters...
...that and having people introduce themselves by calling me "Fat Xeno" or "Tubby Bug" is
wearing awfully thin.
While sillier-toned things such as Weight Gain will always be interests of mine, I feel I have
gotten to a point with my characters (and how I want to portray them) that I do not want
those themes to be the baseline.
As such I've decided to start brainstorming new account names and will eventually move to
a new account to explore some of the more seriously-toned RPG-esque ideas I have for
Vilhelm (my bug dude and persona character), his race, the world he lives in and it's canon.
My current "InsertPenname" account will likely stay what it already is: something VERY
oriented to sillier subject matters.
Just figured I'd let any of you who read these bloody things know!

So I've started a MvM TF2 Server! [UPDATE]
Posted 10 years agoWell I figured I've no-lifed Team Fortress 2 long enough to justify renting a TF2 Server. Gonna be
setting it up for perpetual Halloween-mode with non-stock map rotation!
While I do have a soft spot for Mann vs. Machine maps, I'll have periodic non-stock CTF, Payloaf
and CP maps in rotation as well!
I'm still in the process of getting things set up, but I'll update this journal once I have more
information. If you have any custom maps you'd like to see in rotation, feel free to link them to
me here!
Server's up and running, and I thiiiiiink I have enough of the config files squared away to get this
show on the road!

I'll be off and on the server today me'self. Hope to see you there!

Been mulling around the idea of getting an animated commission done for a while now; maybe something
sprite like, or stylized a bit cartoonishly. Been wanting an animated icon for quite some time now, maybe
like a little looping dance animation or some such.
Anywho, I digress. Does anyone know of any animators on FA that might be open for commission work?
