Posted 14 years agoLots going on in life right now, but not in a bad way. I'm working on coming into my own more, and with that comes a lot of changes and so forth. Follow the bolds and bullets; this is all important if you wish to continue following me and I broke it down as best as I could.
FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS: I AM MOVING ACCOUNTS
I have been debating on this quite some time, as I've grown rather proud and comfortable with the following I've developed here. However, I feel it's time for me to move on. I need a fresh start, and I want to do it with my new name and skills. I will be revealing my new account by the end of the week, so I have time to move everything I like over without flooding everyone's inboxes with crap they've already seen.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
*This account will not be terminated or deactivated in any way
*This account will house older art, and anything pertaining to Akiko.
*I may use this account still if for some reason I have Akiko-related things to post. This is not very likely, since while I do like drawing her she is not me or my fursona in any way.
*I will pop back on this account from time to time, but please try to avoid contacting me here once the new account goes up.
*I will make the new account and start working on it throughout this week, but I will not announce it until it is 'ready.' You are free to come watch me if you find me before then; I just want to avoid flooding your inboxes with stuff you have already seen.
And last but not least, I will not hold it against you if you do not follow me on my new account. I know some of you are not quite seeing eye to eye with me on my life and situation, and I would rather you just part ways with me here than bring any crap over to my new dwellings.
SECOND ORDER OF BUSINESS: My life
I have gotten lots of questions, mixed reactions, and general animosity towards my current situation. I am going to set the record straight right now.
(NONE OF THIS is directed towards any one person, as I have had the same situations and questions popping up with numerous people)
I am a female to male transgender. This means that I was born biologically female, but am male in every sense of my being and self perception.
WHAT THIS MEANS/GENERAL FAQ
* My name is Aki. I do not respond to Akiko, as she is a past character that does not represent me in any way shape or form. Aki is my personal character, fursona, and basically me all around.
* I identify and present myself as a heterosexual(straight) male, and expect to be treated as such.
* I am not a herm or cuntboy, and nor is Aki
* Me being transgender is not to be treated as a fetish or aspect of a character
* I am physically female at this point and time. This, however, does not make me any less of the man I present myself to be, and any treatment otherwise will not be tolerated.
* I currently bind my chest, and will be pursuing hormones and eventually surgery. This is not an overnight process, and pertains a large amount of money and emotional support.
* I do not possess any form of mental or physical illness that 'causes' me to be transgender
* I am in professional therapy to guide me through my transition and to assure that my choices and actions are sound and done in a safe and responsible manner.
*I am willing to answer any and all questions about my gender and orientation, so long as they are presented in a respectful and tasteful manner. I am also open to talk with other transgendered people, and you are more then welcome to approach me anytime.
As you can see, this is a big thing to tackle with many aspects to consider. Dealing with this takes up a good chunk of my time and life, and so I appreciate respect, support, and patience. Many other things in my life are on hold, however I will do my best to be around FA a lot. I am very attached to this community, and have met a lot of great people.
I will be around and active when the new account goes up, and I hope to see many familiar faces there.

Sarieu and I have decided that we would like to open for collaboration-style commissions! :D
Sarieu will do the initial sketch and lineart, and I will be doing the colors and background.
These will be for full digital pieces, and will be $30 a piece. Backgrounds are included for no extra charge, however each extra character is $10.

Posted 15 years agoA new year, a new journal chock-full of my new commission info, prices, and policies! No huge price jumps, just a little tweaking so prices make sense and reflect my current skill level.
*Note: If you can easily read this text, I would suggest going to your control panel and switching to the 'dark' layout. I use bright colors, so viewing this in the lighter scheme may cause your eyes to explode.*

*Additional Information on Sketches
Sketches are just that, sketched and shaded scribbles of your character- done in snazzy blue graphite. You can get up to 4 characters in a sketch(+$5 for each character after the first). As these are simple pieces, requests for revisions are unnecessary and are discouraged. I will only revise your sketch if things are missing or to be omitted(ie add a mane, take out the wings). Also, just like all traditional pieces, it can be mailed to you upon request(+$4).
**Additional Information on Ref Sheets
These can be clean OR mature, I have no problem drawing naughty bits for reference purposes. If you want a mature AND clean ref, I can do that for $40. This same $40 price also applies if I am designing a character for you from scratch. If you chose to have clean and mature refs for a new character, it will be $45. You get the general three-veiw turnaround, plus any little extras you might want. see the bottom of this journal for details.
Love your ref, but some time goes by and you've changed your character? No problem! You get one free revision, and after that it's $5-$10 per revision, depending on complexity. This means changes in hairstyle, markings, etc- NOT a full species change or something that requires me to draw a whole new set of bodies. If you are not sure if your revision is minor or not, ask!!

Posted 15 years agoFirst off, check my art status if you are doing a trade or ordering a commission from me. I will try to update it more often, so right now it's up to speed for you all to see where you stand.
Now then, a few announcements on commissions. Firstly, I am sad to say I need to close my full traditional pieces for the time being. Sukina and Kalemendrax(if he decides to go traditional on his idea for me) will be the last for these. Sorry guys, I need to stock up on markers and the full pics are a bit of a drain on what I have left. HOWEVER, I will keep my BADGE COMMISSIONS open for traditional media as they are smaller and don't require really heavy color work.
The good news is I am going to add a NEW style of commission to my repertoire! That's right, starting now I will be offering full ref sheets. They will be $30, done digitally, and will be saved at the max upload resolution FA allows(a decent amount larger than standard wallpaper size). FOR MORE DETAILS ON THIS, visit my commission info journal via the link in my header. Give me a few minutes to add it in there thoXD
As far as trades go, I would like to stay open through the end of this week for those willing to do one within that time frame. If you are currently involved in a trade with me, a status update would be appreciated. I will ink your halves, and then color them when you are done on your end.
