-double bed room
-thurs thru monday
-one bed is taken by myself and
lustlegion
-one bed is available
-possible floor space (read below)
The requirements:
-locals/people I or lustlegion knows will have top priority for reserving room space.
-you must follow 6-2-1!!!
-payment will be expected up front at the hotel. No money, no room, no compromises!
-guests in the room will be allowed provided I or lustlegion meet and approve first.
-as there will be alcohol in our room, we would prefer people to be 21 or up in the room.
-be a generally cool person if you want room space and we will probably accommodate you!

General | Posted 12 years agoSo living my life right now has kind of been like floating in a dream that constantly changes from a nightmare to a dream. I realized just a couple days ago that I'm at twelve years of being a self realized furry and four years of actually participating in the local community. While I am amazed that this part of my life has lasted this long, I also do wonder if it will last another twelve years. I worry about growing out of it. I worry about my future taking me away from something that I love. I worry about not finding inspiration anymore.
Other things in my life are really bringing me down. Relationship-wise, I don't think I really want to be with anyone for the time being, I am enjoying my time on the single market and being able to be non-committal. I guess if the right person came along I would be interested, but it's just not happening right now. Financially I have kind of hit a wall, I'm really trying to save but more bills just keep coming in and meh, I just need to relax with the spending. School is becoming another stressor in my life. I thought it would be easy enough to ease back into, but with the multiple exams coming on the same days... I'm a little freaked out...
That's not to say I don't have people who are taking care of me and helping me through these times.
lexjaeger has been invaluable... He is definitely the big brother I've always wanted and needed in my life. You have no idea how much you mean to me kitty.

theslipperiest have also been helping me. You both are too awesome and I really appreciate it.
I am lucky to have such supportive friends, but sometimes I just get in a negative spot and it's hard to get out, thanks for bearing with me guys...

General | Posted 12 years agoSo the past three weeks have been a roller coaster so I guess I will sum it up as best as I can with + and - marks in the orders that events happened...
+Moved out of the apartment
-Moved into unfinished house with no kitchen or light fixtures
+light fixtures got installed the day after we said something
+bought a bike
-no way to transport said bike, had to spend more money on another uhaul
+School started, enjoying classes
-forgot to sign promissory note for my big refund of school money...
-Got into a car wreck had to spend more money on a rental
-arm began to hurt, afraid of injuring it at work further, had to see mom to figure out if it was really injured
+arm was not injured terribly, minor bruising on the cartilidge (Sp?) and feeling better today.
-Other minor drama issues in my life with people close to me
+Financial aid came in yesterday, not hurting for money anymore...
+kitchen should be finished today or tomorrow, so that just leaves the bathroom to be redone and the first floor is finished!
So yeah... up and down and I'm sure there was more to that than originally said, but I'm surviving.

Some introspection
General | Posted 12 years agoI know I know, I'm going to catch flak from some of my older friends who watch me for posting this, but I'm sitting here with my drink alone and this is what happens when this happens, so bear with me for a bit while I bare my soul to the world.
There are some things in life I really do wish I could do over again. I honestly feel like if someone tells you that they wouldn't change things at all, they're lying about something. I feel like some of my memories are really horrible, and it's mainly stuff I've done to other people. Most of my relationships that I've had it is hard for me to focus on the good memories because I am constantly wishing that I hadn't said or done the things that possibly made them end. I constantly second guess how different my life would be had I changed one little thing...
This is why I'm honestly and truly terrified of the future. I want to go back to school, I want to do well and better myself so I can have nice things and do more for the community at large and my family and friends. I'm just scared that it will be the same story of my life and that I will do something to screw it up. I don't want it to become true, but there's always that chance.
I wish I could be more active in the community. I really wish that I could do more for those around me. I don't know if people realize how much this life means to me. It's literally something I've grown up with, something I've been a part of since before I care to admit.
In all honesty, I'm scared that I've really screwed up some good things in my life. I wish I could take some of it back.

General | Posted 12 years agoSo to start, it totally rocked my face this year to be room not with one, two or three but four awesome peeps in my room, everyone was agreeable and no drama was had... okay well maybe a little but it wasn't anyone's fault but mine and it's all good.
Thursday when we rolled in was fantastic, lexjaeger got to debut Lex for the first time and was the most damn adorable thing I've ever seen. I'm really jelly actually, I might have to fight him for adorable dominance... But that's the quality work our suitmaker does, shout out to

The big deal of friday was that I made it into the charity poker finals and didn't really have to worry about that the rest of the weekend. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better final table... well except for one thing but that will remain unnamed because yeah.
Saturday was uneventful, I went and permadealer for a couple of rounds at the third satellite and dealt the sickest bad beat I've ever seen in my life, pics to come later as soon as I can find them.
Sunday I ended on a high note finishing 8th in the charity poker finals. I was happy though, I made my goal and got some real respect along the way. Thanks to all of those who were pulling for me and some absolute fucking respect to Albaz Sonia Fukata and November, not to say that everyone else at my table wasn't fantastic, but jesus you guys made me feel good.
Moving on... I had a realization on the way home. I've been really struggling with the philosophical aspects of my life as to who/what I want to be and where I want to go... And I realized that I am truly happy. This made me happy... These people, strangers who half of them I don't even know by their real names love me... They care for me and I care for them...
I love each and every one of you... You are the most dear things in my life...
You are my life...
Thursday when we rolled in was fantastic,
lexjaeger got to debut Lex for the first time and was the most damn adorable thing I've ever seen. I'm really jelly actually, I might have to fight him for adorable dominance... But that's the quality work our suitmaker does, shout out to

Okay so randomness aside I'm way too excited for MFF to be here and I'm curious if theres anyone that watches me that I seriously need to make time for. I will be a very busy little toob that weekend and I would like to make time to spend with as many peeps as possible, so if you wanna meet up, lemme know!
Now I will go back to reminding myself how awesome and badass ferrets are...

Ferret thoughts for November
General | Posted 12 years agoSo MFF is coming and I'm gonna go on a ramble journal for a bit...
Over the past few months I have spent at least one day a week actually doing IRL furry related stuff, whether it be going to events, hanging out with friends that I only know through furry and wouldn't have met otherwise, or just plain suiting for the hell of it.
Being the philosophical person I am, I get in my moods every once in a while where I like to think about my life and what I'm doing with it. And I feel I've stumbled upon something that I don't people think about often enough. I asked myself this question as I was driving back from Lexington today:
Thirty years from now, will I look back on these memories fondly?
Thinking over all of the swell people I have met in my life so far because of furry I know I am fulfilled simply because of that. But I also like to think that I will accomplish something of worth in my life eventually, and in some form I hope it will have something to do with furry. I want to be known for doing something I love and this fandom is important to me. The people I surround myself with (and you know who you are) are like a second, albeit quite dysfunctional family to me, and I hope to always have them in my life.
The question I've been mulling over in my head is, is what I am doing worth it in the long run? Will I look back on my life and say that I spent my twenties in good company and wisely, or will I regret the amount of time and effort I spent cultivating these relationships in this community? I don't really know honestly. As of right now I feel so happy and fulfilled, but deep down inside I also feel that there are more important things than cultivating a persona based around an animal with humanlike qualities.
Don't get me wrong peeps, I'm not leaving the fandom, nor am I in like uber sad depressed mode, I'm just contemplating things. It's good to sit and just think sometimes...
