I can't stop reading this book.... why?

I have a dilemma guys..

I have a friend who shall not be named because I don't even know if he wants me to do this for him. He is in some serious trouble through no fault of his own and possibly facing homelessness. For those of you who know me personally, I will do anything I can monetarily if I am able to, but this time I think it's out of my league.

Here's the skinny:

The place he's currently living didn't ask for a deposit, not did he have to sign a lease, but now the owners of the property are selling it and kicking him out by May. He's looking hard for other places to live, but the places that are available so far, like most normal rental situations, require a security deposit on top of the first month's rent...

That being said, he has confided in me that his situation would require anywhere from $600 to $1200.

I know it's asking a lot, but if there's anyone out there who would help... I'll try to do something for you, I can't draw but I can spin wire rings, I have pictures of my chainmail work on my FA, I'd be happy to handmake a bracelet for anyone who is willing to donate...

This is more of a wondering if there's anyone out there who would be willing to help my friend out... He's really uncomfortable with asking for help, but I think if Ic an show him that there are people out htere willing ot help, he'll be more keen on accepting it..

Oh, one last thing for all those concerned... Self imposed rule, drinking stops at midnight for me from now on... I think that lack of sleep caused me to be jumpy, and coupled with alcohol it didnt work.

I had an epiphany last night...

I sit around my apartment doing absolutely nothing when that time could be spent making money!

So I made an initial investment in about 2000 galvanized steel rings and I plan on starting up my chainmail weaving again. I can make bracelets, I can make necklaces and I can even make some armor weaves, so if you want to commission something crazy like that, please note me.

Of course, as said in my previous journal, I can make bracelets for cheap, but if you want a chainmail shirt of any other project that will take me more than a couple hours, we will need to discuss prices, because although I am good at speedweaving, I could see a chainmail shirt taking me a good week or two to finish if I spent every free moment on it.

Alright, I'm actually doing something artsy for once. I'm into the world of chain mail now and I'm using it mostly to make jewlery and rings and stuff...

So here's my commission info if you like what you see.

I'm going to base my work on an hourly basis. $2 per every hour of work it takes me to make it.

So for instance if a bracelet takes me 2 hours, then I will charge $4 for a bracelet as the base labor fee.

Also to cover my costs, I will be charging for the rings I use as well.

1 cent for each galvanized steel ring
5 cents for brass each brass ring

Which sounds like a lot but it's really not, the brass steel hybrid I made tonight is only 87 cents.

so total that bracelet would cost a whopping $4.87

I can also make necklaces but that may take a while to figure out clasps and stuff. I will also of course need your measurements.

Remember, I am not using clasps with these bracelets, it's up to you to make sure these will fit over you hand and onto your wrist.
