On the terms "herm" and "hermaphrodite"
Posted 11 years agoI'm making this journal to let people know that, despite people whining about the use of the term "herm" and "hermaphrodite", I will continue to use these terms within my artwork when appropriate. A hermaphrodite is a creature with a functional pair of both female and male genitalia. It has never been a term for transgender people or intersex people. While some ignorant people may not know the difference, I've never gotten to two confused. I know the difference between a herm, trans person, and intersex person.
So, if you're still offended by "herm" and "hermaphrodite", I would suggest you use some sort of tagging system to block those words or just unwatch me altogether. I'm not going to be bullied into doing something because some people are oversensitive and want to impose their will on other people. I wouldn't have said anything otherwise but I noticed some artists I watch get shit from these SJWs about this.

ANYWAY! Happy New Year everyone! 2013 had it's ups and downs, mainly downs, but it's the start of a new year and here is hoping that everything will be better! I don't make new year's resolutions because I almost always break them or even commit to them, however there are some things I would like to try and do in 2014:
~Make more friends in the fandom. I'm extremely shy and have a difficult time with making new friends because of this. I'd like to go to a furry convention one day, but I don't know, I'd feel silly if I only have like 1 or 2 friends to hang out with? Regardless of that, I just think it'd be good for me to try and be more social. You can help me with this, too! I have AIM, Yahoo, Skype, MSN, and Gtalk and use them all the time.
~Make more art! I'll never get better if I don't push myself to try, and while it's difficult for me to push myself to draw when I'm in one of my depressive moods, I have to try and try anyway. :C As hilarious as this sounds, I would like to make a living off of my art one day

~You're sexist, racist, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, or hate people with disabilities. (I wasn't going to list this because it should be obvious that I don't like these types of people, but it's the internet and people like to nitpick at things.)
~You don't believe misandry/sexism against men is a real thing.
~You don't believe one can be racist towards white people.
~You hate straight people.
~You hate non-transgendered people.
~You don't believe in mental disorders/illnesses.
~You try and shame people who're on disability, SSI, food stamps, or other government assistance programs.
I apologize that this is the first post of 2014 that I'm making, but I'm sick and tired of seeing social justice warrior nonsense and other bullshit everywhere I go. I know I can't avoid it 100% of the time, but I would like to at least limit the amount of that crap when it comes to the furry/hentai/fetish websites I go to. Simply put, I draw rape/molestation/sexual abuse from time to time. I make jokes regarding the subject matter (on my own page) from time to time.
If that bothers you or makes you uncomfortable, then please unwatch me.
This will be the only warning that I give. It is your job to keep yourself away from things that upset you. It's not my job to trigger warn things, and I will not be doing so. It *is* my hope that someday in the future, FA will actually get it's ass in gear and implement a system where you can block certain tags or subject matters. I always tag the subject matter in my works, and if FA would actually be competent for once, then this would work out for all those involved.
Until then, however, if looking at rape/sexual abuse or joking about it makes you upset then unwatch me.

No AIM or Yahoo access
Posted 12 years agoI've lost the passwords to my AIM and Yahoo accounts. I'm unable to retrieve the passwords, due to also being unable to connect to the email server that my old primary email uses. :X So for now, no AIM or Yahoo for me. If I don't get this resolved soon, then I'm going to just make new screen names for them. Sorry for the inconvenience either way!
I fucking hate wasps/hornets
Posted 12 years agoSo I went into my bedroom, trying to wake my boyfriend up when I noticed a huge fucking wasp/hornet in the window. INSIDE THE FUCKING ROOM. Was it a wasp or a hornet? Fuck if I know and fuck if I care. Those little bastards are Satan and I hate them to pieces, plus they terrify me. So, after my boyfriend pussed out on me, claiming he "couldn't find the wasp", I had to go in there MYSELF and find a way to kill it. I sprayed it with fly poison, had to spray it like, 3 times, before it finally died. Then I crushed it with the can just o be sure.
So far this is the biggest wasp that has ever crawled it's way into our home. Since we've moved here, I've had to kill 5 wasps that somehow, for whatever reason, decided it would be awesome to come into my home.
I don't know why they keep trying to come in. And honestly, I'm perplexed as to HOW they're getting in now. We has 2 AC window units, and I've made damn sure to duct tape around the edges as best as I can, but apparently it's not good enough?
Is there such a thing as wasp repellent? If so I may need to stock up on it. :|

I typically use pidgin to login to multiple aim/yahoo/gtalk screen names, and I like to keep my IRL contacts separate from my furry/porn contacts. I noticed a lot of people are switching to Skype, so I'd like to use that as well.
