sorry yall, i had a bit of an identity crisis a few days ago
i'm still alive and kicking, just without a job and struggling to find motivation for much of anything besides staying sober

i don't say this enough, but thank you everyone who puts up with me
i'd love to write again but i kinda want to find the motivation (and ideas) for a few personal stories before i try anything else

this was one hell of a year but i made it
spent all of it sober and i got a full time job last friday

wish i could've been more stable for a lot of the easing in
but i can't exactly go back and change that now

i'll admit i was pretty selfish at the start
i came in hoping i could make this something worth fixing myself for
it took a while, but i think it's gotten to that point now
although i put way too much of a burden on a few select people along the way

so! i've managed to stay sober for 2 months now
and i'm starting another job after suffering doordash for the past month and a half
it's a remote job this time, unlike the others, so it'll be interesting to see how that pans out
here's hoping that things keep on getting better and brighter
...and i hope i'll have more stories to share along the way

i'm struggling a bit with what i want my presence in this space to be
to that end, i will start posting certain material that i would rather keep separate on a dedicated page
i've just posted a commission i finished last week as an example of what i'm talking about
it's going to be a gray area that i can't really organize into a coherent list of features
i will be alerting commissioners upfront when i feel that an idea will end up on that account rather than here

Howdy folks!

So, as much as I wish didn't need to be back here, and as much as this will surprise a few people I've spoken to in the past week... here I am. No, things aren't in dire straits, though they are a bit worse than when I first opened up shop last year. Nevertheless, I do need to get some sort of income to keep things from slipping further, so...

Yeah. I am opening commissions again. Right now, in fact. I am going to have 5 slots for work to be completed by mid-March, though I may add another one or two if I get multiple requests for shorter stories. As a change from my usual routine, I will not respond to submissions right away, instead starting on Monday, 2/13. This is mainly to handle other affairs - I don't expect to have a full queue by then.

As before, everything you need to know about commissioning me is here, including a ton of writing samples. Trades are also an option - I'm sitting on a couple finished ones right now that I've been dying to post, heh. Please contact me about those directly instead of using the form, though commissions will take priority.
