Who all is going to MFF this year?

I will be at FangCon in Knoxville, TN as a GoH at FangCon this weekend! I am super excited about this up and coming convention as I know the furs running it love to put on a great time. If you're in the area, or can afford to come, you absolutely must!

Hey everybody,

Sorry if I've been radio silent. The new job has got me pretty busy until I leave for Eurofurence. Still loving the new job a ton & my hard work is actually recognized and appreciated.

As for things down here, most notably just had a bunch of friends down for the week of the 4th for some R&R. Good times for sure.

Other than that, I'll be at Eurofurence (as already mentioned) & at MFF again this year.

So, sorry for the silence everybody. I've been busy looking for a new job and have been distancing myself from the internet, mostly to focus on the job hunt.

The good news? I've accepted a new job and will be starting next Monday :) It will be downtown, for an exciting company and they've promised me that all new hires get their head shaved, so, yeah..sounds like I might be bald for a little while *laughs* I might need to get a joke commission of Ip drawn this way ;)

I'm not certain of the new jobs internet usage policies, but they seem pretty chill about them, which is a big deal for me. Some folks browse CNN, some browse Sports..I like to take little breaks chatting to keep in touch with my friends, as well, those are the most important thing to me :)

So, yeah, I'll try and get online more in the evening and be around more in general :)

Ok, so first round of voting has started for Kaiju Combat! My character is Lycanoid, and I'd love it if you guys supported him!

Here's the process - There are three roster voting sessions.

The first ends on March 6th 11:59PM PST. Winners announced March 7th.
The second ends on March 9th (same time). Winners announced March 10th.
The final ends on March 12th (same time). Winners announced March 13th.

During each session, everyone selects their three favorite characters remaining in the roster. Sunstone Games will pick three winners based on those votes and announce them the day after the voting session closes. Then everyone picks their three new favorites - based on who's remaining in the roster. After the third voting session, the final lineup is announced on March 13th.

This process might seem a bit complex - but it's actually the result of a month of discussion within the community - every important decision about Kaiju Combat is vetted by the Design Team.

We kinda took some of my on fursona's backstory and twisted it in a new direction. He's still got plastic/cybernetic skin, but is part flesh too (just for the scary effect), with bone shards having mutated out his back and elbows which he can use as weapons.

Just wanted to do something else this year. I love the folks out in Cali & those I only get to see there, but well, the suites for the new hotel were just awful last year.

The one thing I will really miss is celebrating my birthday (Jan. 27) with furries hosting my usual "brand" of party (beer, toys, etc), with a great number of you crazy furs (you know who you are)!

So, what are your resolutions?

This year, I'm going to seriously try my best to buckle down, diet and exercise. Mostly because I love my man  Pacerfox and want to share a long, happy life with him.

Any suggestions for getting these into my routine would be appreciated. I work long days sometimes, but really need to hit the gym and diet hard :)

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.The students laughed..

‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.
