For my YCHs should I be doing flat price multi spot types more, or do you all think the auction style works better for my work? On one hand, I like doing unique pieces that are one of a kind types for people, but on the other, maybe I should consider the economic side of reproductions of a single piece with different characters and lighting at a lower entry price?

As for commissions, y'all know they are open right? Like, perpetually open. I haven't got a commission request in a long while, I've made some gift art for people for birthdays and what not. But my last commission for a paying customer was a few months ago. Do I need to adjust my prices or something? Or is it just that I have more of a watcher audience than a commission one?

I would love to be able to do enough commissions or YCHs to not have to worry about a day job at some point. But as it is I don't even make enough to cover the cost of the software I use off of commissions. To be fair I should move away from PS and go to a one time payment app or free app. But switching over an entire work flow is difficult

Haven't uploaded in a hot min because I was working on making a sticker pack, which I had intended to do forever ago. but knew that I would get way too invested in and make way too many stickers. well I finally made a sticker pack... and I made way too many stickers. I will be uplading the stickers in 3 separate images after I wake up this afternoon from over working. There are over 100 stickers, some are just variations, and I will have them up as a YCH type packs, by size, you all can select from. priced by pack size. with a min of... 5, then 10, 20 etc etc.

Three, my commission and are open, but I don't get much engagement there. What would make my commission and YCH art more appealing. As much as I don't like the idea of having to sell art to make money, I do kind of need money for food and bills and housing etc. yay capitalism 🙃
Should I like... Make a blatant "commissions open" piece, examples, price points thing?

Also also, my patrons do get a gradual acquisition towards a commission instead of one lump sum. So if you wanted to gradually pay to a commission in the future, you all could take that route if that sounds appealing? I recommend noting for that what you are building to since it gives an idea of at what point you get that reward.

Happy New Years, here is to hoping for a better 2025 than we had for 2024.
I am personally looking forward to my military contract finally being over in about 4 months, though it will make things maybe a little financially tough for a while. but between using the opportunity to actually finish my degree and look into actually doing work I would like to do and not be in perpetual state of Jet Lag from having a schedule that flips my day and night 12 hrs every other month for the last 5.5 years. I think I should be more consistent as well ^^

Maybe it's just that it falls on or around Labor Day, which I've never really seen as a big holiday, just kind of a random set of days off in September. But having consistently had family and friends simply overlook and do other things on the day, even when I do attempt to make plans for it, kind of just reinforces the melancholy I get this time of year.
My father at least texted me, everyone else I had to go out of my way to contact. Tried making plans with my mother since she lives nearby to go to some museums or something simple, but they went down to their other home like they do every month.
Like there is that simultaneous feeling of, I don't really care anymore and haven't for a long time. But also of, I kind of wish birthdays were ever a more positive experience. Like, if I hadn't gone out of my way to call people I would have gotten a single text that day even acknowledging it. My mother, despite me having brought up plans for it, completely forgot about the day.
Is it just middle child thing, is Labor day a bigger holiday than I think?

Went in earlier today to get my impacted wisdom teeth removed. All went fairly well, luckily I didnt feel anything durring though I was suposed to be fully sedated but either they changed their minds or the sleepy meds didnt work cuz I was awake the whole time.
Face feels a bit weird especially my lower lip and right side of my jaw but that should dissipate in the next few hours to days. If it persists for a week I get to go in again and get examined for nerve damage.
I'll be uploading 2 pages of mindless this week as the next one is pretty short.

September starts my class on 3D fundamentals so I may be making little short 3D projects to post here as I go through the class. It's only a month so I likely wont get anything polished out put if any of you are interested in seeing what I come up with or have tips and tricks for Z-Brush, Maya, and Blender it would also be useful.

So it's been up for about 6 hours now, and the reception so far has been positive. now that's of the 12 that have reacted to or commented on it so far. but as of yet haven't gotten any hate for it

So maybe surprisingly given the art that I do for the most part. but I've yet to come out to my family and friends. Well till later today. I set a time and day that I would do it just to hold myself accountable and after work this evening going into my next few days off I'm making it public to my family and friends. The anxiety is honestly kind of killing me and I don't really know what kind of reaction I'm going to get. So here is to hoping for the best

So I have the final quote with all the parts and a timeframe for it to be done. Looks like it'll be about 8-14 days before it'll be done and I can pick it up. Eating up most of my savings to both fix and upgrade my computer. I'll see about hooking up my tablet to my old garbage laptop and getting some quick simple work done or some YCH's if anyones interested.
