Good morning, everyone. Thankfully, I’m here to share the good news that my mom has recovered—she was discharged from the hospital over the weekend. I brought her home, and she’s still resting here. I need to take care of her, and I’m still juggling household chores while looking after her. This week, I plan to get back to work. Last week was absolutely terrible for me, just awful. I didn’t have the time or mental space to get much done. I had to take it one day at a time, and there were moments when I was living hour by hour because things got so complicated. I’m infinitely grateful to everyone who reached out, who wished her well, who left their thoughts and best intentions here. I really, truly appreciate all of you who took the time to express yourselves and show your support. That meant a lot to me. I’m so thankful. I bring this happy news that things are improving here, everything’s turning out okay. I plan to get back to focusing on my activities normally starting this week.

Hey everyone, good morning! Let me give you a quick update on how my week’s been going with everything that’s been piling up. Thank God, my mom’s doing better—her recovery’s on track, and she’s out of the ICU, though she’s still in the hospital under observation. Best part? She’s not hooked up to a ton of machines anymore. But this week hasn’t been smooth sailing. I’ve had some other hiccups—like the dog’s health scare, which, thank goodness, is under control now. I’ve been giving him his meds, and he’s responding well. Then, some idiot rear-ended my car in the hospital parking lot, smashing the rear trim and the taillight. Now I’m stuck with the repair costs, and I can’t drive it properly—risking a fine or tow could make it tough to visit Mom. I can’t even take it to a shop yet because she might get discharged any day, and I’m hoping it’s by week’s end. How does someone crash into a parked car in a big open lot in broad daylight, seriously? And to top it off, this morning—Thursday—some accident hit the city, and I haven’t had a second to figure out what happened, but we’re totally without power. Everything’s dark, and I’m barely holding it together because this week’s been a total mess.

On the bright side, the medical stuff’s getting sorted. The other daily headaches are just one at a time. I’m posting this to keep everyone in the commission queue in the loop. I did manage to squeeze in some work this week and chip away at pending stuff, but it’s been like half an hour or an hour a day max. I’ve been running around—grabbing meds, hunting down that busted trunk part, driving all over. I’ve got to visit Mom daily, and now with no power at home, I can’t even do laundry. I might need to hit a laundromat since I’ve been in and out of the ICU at a big hospital—those clothes need washing, you know?

Anyway, that’s the deal. I’m not replying to messages right now—I just don’t have the time. The only ones I can respond to are people in the commission queue who want to talk about their commissions, because my schedule’s crazy tight. I’m dealing with a lot here, and it’s been rough as hell.

Last night, when I was at home after dinner, I noticed that our dog here was lying on the ground. It looked like he had fainted—he was completely paralyzed, stiff. After calling him a lot and nudging him, he woke up and seemed normal. But this morning, when I woke up, I realized he had vomited a lot and had other issues. So, I had to take him to the vet. There, we found out he had a fever of 40.1 degrees Celsius, and it seems he ate something, a foreign object, which I think happened. Like, from Friday night to Saturday morning, no one was home—he was alone—because of the incident with my mom. When I got back on Saturday, it was almost noon, and I slept the whole day. I couldn’t pay attention to the dog all Saturday. You know how dogs are? He made a mess, chewed up a bunch of stuff, especially since he was alone. My hypothesis is that he probably ended up eating something during that time, and because of that, he now has a severe intestinal infection, a very strong stomach infection. We had to leave him hospitalized at the vet for CT scans, and he has an extremely high fever. On the plus side, thank God, we have health insurance, so it’s covering all my mom’s hospital expenses. But there’s no health insurance for dogs, so the vet costs will have to come out of my pocket. Thank God I have an emergency fund for this kind of thing. Still, it’s a lot going wrong all at once. I’m prioritizing resting first because I haven’t been able to sleep properly these last few days—I can barely sleep. And second, I need to focus on my mental health.

In the early hours from Friday to Saturday, I had to rush my mom to the hospital in the city center because she was feeling very ill, complaining of severe pain. As soon as we arrived at the emergency room, they conducted a series of tests and determined that she would need emergency surgery. However, the hospital in question lacked the necessary infrastructure to perform this procedure. So, they had to request her transfer to another hospital. All of this took place between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., when the transfer was finally carried out. We arrived at the new hospital as dawn was breaking, and the current situation now is that the new medical team there conducted new tests, repeating the same ones again, and they concluded that surgery might not be necessary. This is because the first hospital had determined there was a perforation in the intestinal wall, whereas now, at the second hospital, they believe there is no perforation and that it’s actually just inflammation. So, if it’s only inflammation, they will keep her hospitalized, treating her with antibiotics, and surgery won’t be required. But if she doesn’t respond well to the treatment, they will have to perform surgery to remove the affected intestinal wall, which appears to be inflamed and might even be perforated.

All of this has been incredibly hectic for me. I haven’t had proper sleep these past few days. On top of that, I now have to visit my mom daily at the hospital to check on her condition, talk to relatives, and update the family. I’ve taken charge of the house to keep it in order. And I’ll do my best not to delay the commission queue or deliveries. I’ve been working on the fifth page of my comic over the last two weeks, which I need to deliver. The page is almost complete, with very little left to do—just the panels shading remains. After that, I’d start working on August’s commissions. I had even planned to deliver two commissions this month, depending on how the situation develops. But given everything going on, there will be a delay, a small delay. I would earnestly ask for your patience, as I’m going through an extremely stressful time. Still, I’ll try my utmost to deliver everyone’s commissions. At the moment, I can’t accept any new commissions either. Even with a waitlist, I won’t be taking on new ones because I’m not even sure I can manage the slots already sold.

I didn't realize I made a serious mistake when writing the description for my last story commission. I do not support forced sexual acts or anything of that nature. I was paid by my client to write a macro-micro story in a specific context, and at no point did I realize that the interpretation of the story could be seen as a case of rape. I am truly sorry for this oversight.

Good morning everyone. As today is December 24th, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays with your families. I also want to say that I'm taking a break these days; the 23rd is already over, and the 24th and 25th are for resting a bit. I know I'm a bit late with my daughter's conditions; I sold quite a bit, and I am very grateful for your trust and support for buying so much material from me, for the commission from me, and I am very thankful. But I've also been working at a very, very heavy pace, working 7 days a week to deliver all the conditions to you as soon as possible. I know you have a bit of anxiety, that you like to receive your arts as soon as possible, I am happy that you like my work so much, but I also need to take some days off so as not to impact my creative capacity and not end up with an Art Block. Nothing is better than enjoying this holiday period with family to rest, relax a bit, eat lots of good food, and also to wish you all a Merry Christmas and good end-of-year festivities.
