So I may as well be upfront with everyone about everything going on, and regarding the constant delay and wait on current commissions. In all honesty, it's all in my mental health and motivation. I've been constantly struggling, and letting depression get the best of me all year, none of which was helped by anything that has been going on this year. All which has been causing my motivation to work on stuff just drop entirely, and for long periods of time.
The TLDR; this year has been shit, I haven't had any motivation to work on stuff.

Now though, I've been feeling much better. In fact, I've recently felt genuinely refreshed for the first time in all year. That being said, I decided to change up the flow of working on commissions. And to condense it all ahead of time; I'll be working on them in batches of 3

I'll keep accepting new commissions, but I'll only be actively working on up to three at a time. As I go, I'll also be keeping track of who's a part of the batch and who's in waiting, something I'll also be sharing with you through the journals.

But yeah, I think moving forward, that's how I'll be going by with tackling commissions.

As of right now, I’m going to just take a break from anything art for a bit, and commissions are going to be put on hold as well

As for why, I’m just going to leave it at, for the past few days, the passion’s been gone entirely for me..

Don’t get me wrong, I always love drawing this stuff, I’ve been drawing at all for a long time, and I’ve enjoyed it, it’s come around to help with stress too. As far as 2024 so far, I honestly just jinxed myself with hoping it’d be better than last year. Not even two months in, and I’m already stressed the fuck out to no end. So far, that’s still been the case, only since then it’s just been getting worse. As far as the art went, I wasn’t enjoying it anymore. Everyday I was basically just forcing myself to draw, and it wasn’t fun anymore. The passion was gone, I refused to take any breaks from it because I felt like I couldn’t, and I was just burnt out because of it.

So honestly, I think I need to just take a damn break for once… and that’s what I’m going to do now..

I’ll be honest, 2023 was just awful for me. It’s had its high points, I won’t try to make it look like otherwise, but for the most part, I’ve felt so much stress for the year that, man, I was already READY for 2024 to come along. With the new year, honestly I just wanna be more optimistic about this year, and just, do more. But yeah, happy new year everyone.

PS, I’m taking this week off from commissions, mostly because recently I just feel more focused on personal art than anything

As for the journal, I'm just writing to say that in the case that I really need to, I'm accepting Paypal as an option as well, which I'm using in the case of Cashapp not being an option whatsoever for some. But because of the bs Paypal likes to pull, if you can still use my preferred methods though, then I'd appreciate that.

Already days have gone, and I’m sitting here like, what the hell is this policy anymore. Before I go any further, I do want to make it clear that no, I still don’t condone drawing minors in NSFW situations at all, and no, I’m not accepting the “oh but she’s a 5000 year old dragon” loophole bullshit. That out of the way, this policy was vague as all hell.

So who tf even wrote this clarification then, and why. Don’t forget, vore and tf are clearly still fetishes, so this is literally contradicting itself, and its fucking idiotic

It’s about more than time that we need to address the issue with writers being under artists’ shadows. I believe everyone deserves respect in someway (of course, excluding the overall shitty people), and that includes the writers in the fandom. Unfortunately, it just seems like people don’t show writers as much respect as they give artists. Why?
Like, I get that writing is just the audience reading words, and, to them, why bother when rp is a thing, and that art is actually a visual something. But, what I feel like people just try to avoid is the fact that writing is another art form. It’s like they’re trying to act illiterate just so they can focus on looking at art, and people just being assholes to writers, acting like they can’t read anything. Like, no. And at this point, even writers themselves like  Mr.Butterton have addressed that issue themselves.
Ultimately, writing is also an art form, even if it’s not visual. And the writers need and deserve to be given the same amount of respect as artists.

These past few days, I’ve just not been feeling happy mentally… I’m just dealing with too much, and I’ve lost a lot of my motivation to draw anything..
