It's actually pretty damn neat to watch the battles in 3D for once (I have not and most likely never will play any of the console ones that are in 3D.), with all the fancy camera movements and screen splitting making the battles less of an eye-bore to witness a few billion times.

Also, I wonder why they abandoned the asshole rival idea from the early games. B/W (1 and 2) and these two new ones seem to only have nice and friendly bastards whom seem to qualify as your 'rivals'. My main motivation in the early games was to just curse out Douchey McAssnuts and rub his face into the bloodied remains of his pokemon after every battle. When I do it now in these games, it just starts making ME look like the bad guy. Psh.

Anyway, here's to hoping they have a swimsuit outfit you can get for your trainer character. My girl needs to get wet >=|

And one last thing, if anyone wants to swap them 3ds friend code thingies, shoot me a note. Apparently the more friends you have affects the what spawns in the safari zone of this game. (having friends who also play the game affect it even more, and even more so if they're online).

So last week my ssd (solid state drive) died. Not sure what happened really, just randomly blue-screened and suddenly would no longer be detected by the bios. The bios seems to try and detect it, i mean it knows that something is connected at first and then spends a good 2 minutes attempting to read it during POST when I start the computer up, but then ultimately fails and just says that nothing is there.

Tried different sata ports, tried the drive solo, tried as a secondary drive, tried messing with any setting in the bios related to how it reads and works with these drives...nada. Only thing I can find online just says to update the firmware on the drive...which I would love to try, but I cant seeing as how I can't even fuckin' start the thing.

Ah well... Didn't lose anything too important. ...except all my bookmarks and browser settings, along with my fuckin Pathfinder character sheets.
